My appointment was on a day that the store was closed. My purses were taken at the door - I was not invited in to discuss which purses were wanted or the selling prices. I was not given an opportunity to withdraw the purses if I felt the selling prices were too low. I was never given an inventory of what they kept or the prices. Security isn't great - when I went to pickup the 3 purses that went unsold, only 2 were located - the third was apparently shoplifted. The owner was unsympathetic and unconcerned.

Hero Shop's staff are condescending and dismissive; I've rarely felt so unwelcome or judged by a group of people presumably invested in my spending money. I have made purchases, some significant, over the years, and have accompanied others who have spent thousands of dollars in a single trip, and regardless of money spent, I'm consistently ignored, side-eyed, or treated with outright disdain. Its especially obnoxious because I frequently observe other patrons treated well; the interactions make clear that the women treated well are all clearly well-connected (greeted by name, wearing particularly well-known items like the Row's Hugo slides or Metier's private eye bag) and have somehow earned the distinction of being "good enough" to shop at Hero Shop. There are exceptions: One of their long-standing sales associates has always been gracious (she has mid-length brown hair and is always friendly and helpful); the owner of the store has always been engaged and pleasant; and some of their seasonal staff has been polite, but the general experience is very poor. At this point, unless its an item or a designer I cannot find anywhere else, I go in to try things on but try my hardest not to buy there... in full "Pretty Woman" fashion, I have no desire to spend my money at a boutique where I'm treated so poorly.
