New View is the complete opposite. The office is friendly, modern, and incredibly efficient. Jessica is an absolute gem--her customer service is outstanding. And of course, Dr. Kasanoff is great too. It's easy to feel a little stressed when getting a glasses exam (you don't want to pick the wrong letters!) but he has a way of making you feel comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised with how friendly the people at the front were, this was not the awkward LensCrafters wait that I am used to, but actual nice people (no offense to LensCrafters, but I always feel judged when I go there, lol). Anyways! I filled out the paperwork and by the time I was all done they were ready to start the testing/checking. Poor Communication About Unexpected Charges…read more I recently picked up glasses for myself and my daughter from Eye Care in Spring Valley. When I picked up our glasses, I was told I had a $21 credit on my account. Naturally, I left thinking that was the status of my account. A few days later, I received a phone call informing me that I owed an additional $74. I was confused because this was never communicated to me when I picked up the glasses. The office later provided a breakdown explaining that the charge was related to the anti-glare coating on my glasses. I understand that additional lens features can cost extra, and I appreciate receiving an explanation. However, my frustration is that I was not informed of this balance at pickup, and I was told I had a credit instead. As a customer, I believe any outstanding balance should be clearly explained before I leave, especially when I am being told something completely different about my account. My issue is not simply that there was an additional charge. It is the lack of clear communication and the confusion surrounding my account. I hope the office improves how it communicates charges and credits to customers so others do not experience the same frustration.
