It was very distressing for me to have my appearance altered without my consent and to see that my teeth had been made much larger and more square than what I was comfortable with. At my request, they were fixed to have a more natural look that I could live with; however, I was still forced to pay about 7x more than what I would have had only the procedure I had agreed to been done. I attempted to work with them to remedy the situation, but they were unwilling to remove even a small amount of the extra charges that I would personally have to pay, despite already having received hundreds more than they should have been paid from both myself and my insurance. My experience with Veritas Dental has greatly injured my trust in dentists, and you should go elsewhere if you want to avoid being used for money.

However, I needed some simple x-rays of my teeth and either the x-ray holder was TOO BIG for my mouth or the "hygenist?" was placing them incorrectly and they wouldn't go in. I said, OW. YOU'RE HURTING ME. So she shoved harder and started fussing like a 2 year old. I said, STOP. THEY DON'T FIT. DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. She stamped her feet, fussed like a baby and said, so you are refusing the procedure? NO, i said. IT DOESN'T FIT. DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. She called in another staff member to complain that i was Un-Cooperative or something. This staff member did NOTHING USEFUL. Didn't even speak to me at all. 1st woman- then braced herself like she was pushing a bolder up a mountain and began SHOVING the appliance back into my mouth. It still didn't fit. I was in so much PAIN that i nearly jumped out of the chair. Almost to tears, the 1st highly trained and skilled "hygenist" finally brought in Dr. Cheung. I told him the appliance didn't fit in my mouth. Please do something different. He immediately told them to do the xray a different way. No problems. It was done in a moment. Professional. I DON'T BELIEVE that the xray film would not fit in my mouth with the application of even the slightest professionalism or patience or that ANY of the fussing and violence to my mouth associated with getting the x-ray was even necessary. Any person even remotely interested in actually getting the job done- would have accomplished this simple task with almost no trouble at all. This female hygenist and the staff in general are Stunningly Brave, absolutely Beautiful, perfect in Every Way and are obviously being oppressed. Please don't change a thing. We trust her completely, and it's not very often that you can say that about people. Her office is very clean, staff is friendly. 5-15 Min wait, depending on if they have a Dental emergency walk in. But most of the time staff keeps you updated if they're running behind. One time they were running behind 30min so they called me to let me know so I dont rush. But one of the main things that definitely made me a loyal patient is the way they handle emergencies. Everyone can be nice when all is well, but you can rely on Dr. Safaryan even when things are not going smoothly. We've had two dental emergencies in the last year with our daughter. First time she had an accessed tooth...so naturally I panicked when I saw it and called our dentist right away, I figured if she doesn't pick up we'll go to emergency room. It was around 8:30pm or a little later (whenever kids were brushing their teeth for bedtime), she answered the phone and calmly reassured me that this can happen to baby teeth and it's not something to worry about if proper measures are taken promptly. She called our pharmacy to prescribe antibiotics right away, then called me back to let me know that they will be ready for pick up soon. I was able to treat the infection as soon as I saw it! A couple of days later the abscess went down, and we pulled the infected tooth. That was the first time my daughter has ever had a shot in her mouth! She didn't even know it happened! She was smiling the whole time. That means a lot to a parent! So yes I definitely recommend this dentist. I wish I wrote this review earlier!
