The office itself is welcoming with a fireplace and glass doors allowing a line of sight toward the operatories area. I was in for a "scrape and buff", aka a cleaning and exam and was lucky enough to get ANNIE as my hygienist. She was extremely engaging, communicative and focused on the job. After a quick few X-Rays, she did a quick look asking about any problems and began the cleaning. I was completely relaxed and her technique was expert. After this, Dr. Vicky came in and we talked about the X-Rays and potential endodontic evaluation. No judgements, no "you need tos", and a simple plan to move forward at my discretion. I am relatively new to this dental practice. I have had frequent dental work throughout my lifetime. Dr. Hradek, as well as the clinical and office staff have provided consistently excellent care. Dr. Hradek thoroughly explained the plan of care that would take several visits. I was nervous at my most recent visit. Both he and the hygienists treated me with professionalism, kindness and reassurances. The procedure went very well. My post-procedure healing is going much better than I anticipated. I am so thankful to have been referred to Dr. Hradek when I moved to Delaware. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking an excellent dentist. read more

This was my first visit to Pure Smiles. They have a very nice office and efficient staff. From checking in at the front desk to my meeting with Alex, my dentist, it was a very professional and friendly experience. My hygienist, Joann, was very efficient and explained the exam equipment that I haven't seen before. Best of all, she was very competent and cordial, as was my dentist, Alex. I have some dental work needing done. The office staff had already gotten approval from my insurance provider before I left from the appointment. I have always been very afraid of dentists, (too many horrible experiences as a child). Sadly for Me I had a tooth with problems. The entire staff here are fantastic with helping me with my anxiety, Dr Alex is very young!! And a fantastic dentist! This is the first time I have been to the dentist and will not have nightmares!! After Dr. Hradek filled a "small cavity", I had to return a month and a half later as the filling "wasnt there", or was "worn down". I do NOT grind my teeth and this should NOT have happened. Upon re-drilling and refilling said tooth I had increased sensitivity and needed a root canal...to which Dr. Hradek took ZERO accountibility or responsibility for...instead, he berated me and verbally abused me in his office. I was accused of "fabricating" the situation (Ummm...it is all in YOUR FILES!), and was accused of trying to get him fired or sued for malpractice. My intent was to have the practice be accountible and cover at least the cost of the crown...but instead, I was badgered verbally until I basically had to "shut up and take it"...to which I was then told that he would assure me he could be professional, gave an example of how he can be angry in sports and then "shut it off again" after, and that he "Took an oath". Pure Smiles owners have done NOTHING to rectify this situation, only offering that they would provide "coaching" to Dr. Hradek. I am disgusted that a medical "professional" would be allowed to treat patients in this manner. I am clearly also filing a report with the Ohio Medical Board, but I want to caution EVERYONE on this practice and this Dr., as all will be just great UNTIL you dare to suggest he did something wrong, or be held accountible for procedure errors. I hope to save others from unnecessary procedures, billings and ultimately...the ABUSE. read more

I am a new patient with Pacer Dental and I already feel welcomed by the staff. I received amazingly friendly service. They got my right back to start my appointment. Kristen completed my dental exam and she did a wondeful job. They are very thorough by taking panorama x-rays, normal x-rays, and even regular photographs. I met the doctor briefly but Kristen was able to handle my entire cleaning. It is nice not being passed around from person to person. The office is beautiful and has a very comfortable feel to it. If I could give it no stars I would. I went in on May 16th because my filling fell out. MIND YOU I got my filling done there years prior. I was only there for 12 mins and they stated they didn't have time to fill it that day I need to come back. I said okay no worries scheduled an appointment time on May 18th. My insurance company sent me a statement saying my copay would be $92 and some change. I paid $184 on May 18th. I called in to figure out why. The reasoning was because they charged me 2 visit fees of $49. I said I want a refund for the one on May 16th because I was only there for 12 mins and they looked at my tooth said oh it's broken. Like no shit. And said I need to come back. Fast forward I was told I would get a call back sometime that week(I called Monday morning) I waited all week then called on Friday and over the weekend trying to figure out why I haven't received a call from the manager like I requested. She calls me Tuesday morning after the holiday and keeps repeating "I understand" like that's going to shut me up or something. I said no I am owed a refund. You wouldn't pay it and you damn sure would t let them charge your mother $6 to her account because they forgot to add it to your bill. Her response "I understand its our policy" my response. " it's not your customers fault y'all want to buy all this new technology for the office and over charge people because you have to find a way to pay for it. And personally I know for a fact I'm not the first person to call and complain about your bills. I'm going to a different dentist and you just lost a family of 5 who has been there since 2010." And hung up. They don't care about the patients and they do not care about your payments, they charge whoever is in the family if they forget to add it to your bill and then try to get you to come in for a cleaning. The worst dental service in my entire life.The owner-dentist at this place absolutely ruined my dental health!!!!.It was 12 years ago when this place was at different location in Delaware, OH. The dentist recommended that I get a crown on my molar tooth.The price was very expensive like 2000 dollars,and I had to pay upfront.He had one of his dental student fresh out of columbus state do the crown. The whole time I was in excruciating pain.When It was all finished ,I was in even more pain.When I got a different opinion from another dentist in Columbus,She recommended that I extract that crown tooth.So I wasted 2000 dollars on something totally unnecessary. THIS PLACE RIPS PEOPLE OFF!!!!.SO I ENDED UP EXTRACTING MY TOOTH.I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went to this dentist to get my teeth cleaned. I thought they were a full service dentist, that is why I went there, for all of my dental needs. I have been informed that I need a crown on my upper molar and the tooth below it. The molar had a filling that was loose and had inflamed my gum. It had become an emergency. They could not get me in for two weeks. I went to my doc and he gave me antibiotics. Then this past Friday my filling came out. Today they called and had a call off appointment, now they are telling me they don't do root canals on molers. So I have to go somewhere and have a root canal then come back and get my crowns done. Is there any full service dentist out there? read more

Very friendly, efficient, prompt staff, and most of all professional. Dr. Hughes is serious and thorough. He will tell you when you have issues that need to be addressed right away and others that they can keep their eye on. I did not have very good dental insurance, and they came up with a program that is more economical for me. While I don't like to have dental work performed, I will say that Dr. Hughes puts me completely at ease, and makes it painless in every way. He doesn't skimp on the anesthesia, which is very good! He even uses a fairly new technique where he only anesthetizes the tooth that needs to be worked on. No more entire jaw being numb for hours. They use state of the art techniques in a very clean and professional office. read more

The only thing holding me back from a 5-star is that it's a dentist's office and is truly not 'as good as it gets.' I mean, no one really LIKES to go to the dentist, right? (Unless you're that creepy guy from Little Shop of Horrors best played by Bill Murray.) But srsly, this place is pretty darn good. As a young person I was extremely nervous to go to a new dentist. I was very disappointed with my treatment. They were incredibly nice; but, after receiving treatment in January I have still been in pain a month after. Returned to discover that the work they had done was done incorrectly. I had to wait two weeks to be seen for them to correct their original work. Hopefully they can fix it, but I am very worried and scared. Unfortunately I am also expected to pay for the re-work.
