No gratuitous numbing, just enough to make sure I felt nothing - within 45 mins I was back to normal as if I never went to the dentist at all! Dr. Gavin and her team are incredibly professional, competent and current. I like going to the dentist now! The office is beautiful with pretty champagne-gold colored chairs and a clean and cozy waiting room with free coffee and bottled water. They have a flat screen TV with Netflix that they can position in front of you while you're getting work done if you want. Dr. Gavin and Mary Kay get a special shout out for discovering I might have an obstructive sleep disorder and encouraging me to get tested. I listened to them and it turns out I do have a severe condition. I was losing up to 30% of necessary oxygen intake while I slept! I'm so grateful to them for discovering this and now I'm in such a much better place getting the oxygen I need. I drive 35 mins to get to there and back because I live downtown. I don't mind at all, they're totally worth it!! **Their office is in the Mount Carmel Health Center in Lewis Center - a state of the art wellness center that has a restaurant, gym and other facilities.

The office is absolutely gorgeous. They really take the time and effort to make the experience as pleasant as possible. My first visit was because I needed a crown replacement, so just jumped right in to the full dental experience on this one! The patient beds/chairs are comfortable and I was given some headphones with relaxing music while they worked. The whole process didn't take too long and it was as painless as it could be! I've been back several times, both for cleanings and additional work. They got me in quickly for an urgent pain situation a while back and remedied the situation right then and there, thanks GOSH*! All the staff and docs are very friendly, professional and welcoming. Mike is awesome and quick with the cleanings! Dr Simon is a great addition and very good with checking in during work to make sure the patient is comfortable and doing ok. Will be going strictly to this dentist from now on!!! Solid Yelp reviews, super friendly when scheduling and I had no issues with my appointment. They even called and offered sooner dates when they were available. This was already a hundred times better than the few dental offices I worked with closer to home. Heck, before I even arrived I was already pleasantly surprised. Next, the office is absolutely beautiful. I loved the giant saltwater fish tank in the lobby and the jams they had playing were my favorite. I hadn't even opened my mouth yet and I was happy. My dental hygienist was super sweet, attentive, and informative. I especially liked how she walked me through my xrays tooth by tooth. I've never felt so informed. They had televisions to watch during cleanings but I opted for my favorite crime podcast and popped in my headphones. After my cleaning, we discussed my concerns and set a few plans in place to get what I want. My parents spent a lot of money on my smile when I was younger and I want to make sure to keep up with it. I had a chip in my front tooth for years that was less than 1/16th" and Dr Dugas cut off more than half of my front tooth to fix it (see pics). He then painfully tried to match the color and was unable. I went back for a second three hour procedure and the color was unbelievably wrong again. After he saw how bad the color match was, and offered to repair it. After Dr Dugas offered to repair the damage he caused, I went back the office for the third time and was told the repair would be another $1300. Please do NOT GO TO THIS DENTIS!!! I tried to have the damage repaired by another dentist and was told it's permanent and cannot be fixed. The only reason for the five stars is the dental hygienists that work there. The actual dental work ruined my smile for life. Please pick any other dentist. I have recommended this dentist to many people, and hope they didn't have the same horrible experience I did.

My children have always been covered under their father's insurance, this has been the same for 7 years now, preventative care is covered at 100% under his insurance, there should be no problem. It turns out $89 was not paid by their father for something. Again, it his insurance, I wouldn't have access to his job information, his insurance information or the bill for the $89 measly dollars. I called to make an appointment for myself under my insurance, I've never had my children under my insurance because their dad's insurance is better than mine. North Orange has always been in-network for both my insurance and their dad's insurance, never had a problem. I'm not taking away from the fact that $89 is owed but I never saw a bill because I don't live at the same address and it's not my insurance! I am being denied service for his lack of paying $89. I don't see the logic and am truly upset at how the one time a bill doesn't get paid, a bill that I would never see because it's not my insurance or my address, I am being denied service. And to top it off, the only solution North Orange provided is for me to call their dad's insurance, as if I have the authorization to call on his account. Make it make sense. It doesn't and you know it.

I stopped going there and got a new dentist, who recently replaced a crown for me. It was $1300, with no requirements of any up front "contract." No difference in the quality of the work. Just the price.
