Highly recommend everyone SEEK A DIFFERENT PROVIDER. Do not waste your time and money! I had an appointment for 10:30 and showed up early at 10:15. There was one person already being seen by Dr. Cho when I arrived. The front desk staff gave me a form to fill out but then after that I sat and waited for 40 minutes until the front desk staff came back to do a visual acuity test and the eye puff pressure exam. That took 5 minutes then I sat back down waiting another 20 minutes before Dr. Cho finally was ready to see me. By then there was 4 other patients awaiting their appointments. It was clear this office more than quadruple booked the same time slots as everyone that showed up said they were here for the 10:30/10:45 appointment. Dr. Cho was unprofessional. He had no idea what my appointment for. After waiting an hour and twenty minutes he rushed me out in 13 minutes saying I was good to go. read more

I was very pleased with Dr. Cho. He listened attentively to where my vision was as a small child to present. He absolutely knew what I wanted and explained why it was impossible for me to obtain with my eye condition. He also explained why other items I had tried have not worked for me. You would expect that an optometrist who's office is essentially an occupied space in the evil megastore known as Wal-Mart would not have the greatest of service or reputation, but you would be completely and utterly wrong. I've been going to Dr. Cho for about 6-7 years now and could not be happier. He is very professional, very prompt and he is cheap. I'm talking 2 glasses of White Zin and you are in the sack cheap. But more importantly my eyesight has always been great, never had any problems with the contacts he prescribed me, and he is always super friendly. I could not recommend Dr. Cho enough! read more

Wow! I love Dr. Cho! Very friendly man, very personable, I always have a great conversation with him when I go! The receptionist, on the other hand, needs to switch jobs if she hates what she does (which I highly think she does). She just stares at you when you walk in and doesn't even acknowledge you. Personally, I like to go in and greet her with a smile. The LEAST she can do is at least say HI! Dr. Cho is seriously a wonderful doctor. I would no doubt give his practice 5 stars. The one star I deduct is b/c of the receptionist. If he hires a receptionist who is more of a people person, who knows how to greet patients and give friendly answers, then this place is perfect!! read more

I have always been wary of Wal*Mart and always will be. The fact that Dr. Cho's office is physically attached to the Fair Lakes Wal*Mart means that there is some unseen barrier and/or force that keeps evil from leaking into his office. Dr. Cho is fast and very personable. He has returned every question I have given him with a crystal clear answer. There isn't much more you can expect from an optometrist. I am always in and out in less than twenty minutes with my prescription in hand. The office staff is also quick - when I called in a fax request for my prescription I had it within five minutes. Do make sure to call ahead and make an appointment - I have never sat alone in his waiting area. I would also verify insurance coverage. I have VSP and he is out-of-network so I have to pay $80 out-of-pocket and file for reimbursement. I bit the bullet though as I have always had a great experience (he gives me tons of contacts!) and he is within walking distance from my house. read more

Dr Cho is a great doctor, I have been going ro his practice for years now. He listens to what you have to say and truly cares about his patients. Also, he is not like some doctors who have the "God Complex" he is a down to earth guy who wants to best for you. If you need an eye doctor definitely go to him! read more

I went here to get a contact lens exam and left with worst vision. I went back and was seen again by the other doctor at this location and he did not change the prescription. - I think he did not want to overrule his colleague! They kept insisting my (dominant) left eye was just under the need to have an astigmatism correction. Well, after 4-5 month I went to another doctor and I see perfect now. Hint of the Day: If you see worse than when you came in to get an exam, then something is wrong. I've been going Dr.Cho's for years now and I would not recommend anybody else other than him. He is very friendly, thorough, and accommodating to his patients. I've gone to him for everything from eye infections to getting contacts and glasses. He is detailed in his work and the other doctors in the practice are the same way, so whether you see him or any other doctor, you're in great hands. The prices for the exams are pretty reasonable too, especially if you do not have insurance ($55 for eye exam, $85 for contacts exam). The only negative aspect I would say about the office are the receptionists. They are rude, unhelpful, and condescending. They do not know how to treat customers and talk down to the patients. I recently went in for an emergency exam after speaking with Dr. Cho on the phone and when I got there, I explained my situation to the receptionist. To my shock, she flat out refused me an appointment, saying, with an attitude, that they were booked and couldn't take me. I explained that it was an emergency and I had already spoken to the doctor and just needed to get a prescription for my eye medication. She proceeded to respond with a nasty tone, asking me what kind of prescription I needed and why I needed to see the doctor right then and there. After 10 minutes of going back and forth, she glared back at me and finally told me I had to wait. I mean honestly, what kind of customer service is that?! This girl was probably no more than 21 years old and acting like she knew everything and had better things to do than deal with patients. Overall, Dr. Cho is fantastic but his receptionist is a rude, snobby, and pretentious girl who should be fired for her behavior and attitude toward patients. read more

I have been going to Dr. Cho for years and could not recommend him more highly. I am currently a student out of state, and when I first went away to school I tried to find an optometrist closer to my new location. None were anywhere near as friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to explain exactly what they are doing and why as Dr. Cho. I now wait until I have a few days at home to see Dr. Cho. I came here about a year ago for an eye exam. I had read prior reviews and was happy to know the optician was rated so highly. I also had read that the receptionist was very rude however, I had thought maybe she was just having a bad day. When I arrived the receptionist was very rude to me too, but was extremely polite and kind to the family next to me communicating to them in Spanish. The Dr I saw was amazing. He took his time with me and really helped me, he answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I recently came back here about a week ago and was glad to see the new receptionist is very professional and friendly. Dr. Cho is amazing and I would recommend him to anyone. I will continue coming here for as long as they remain open. Very pleased with my experiences here. read more

I cannot add more than what everyone else has said. I've been seing Dr Cho since my daughter was 6, she is now 16. He always friendly, and very caring. I also pay out of pocket since he is not on my insurance plan. It's worth every penny. I needed a contact lens rx, and called around for the cheapest. There was one place that would be cheaper for getting both glasses & contacts rx together, but for what I needed, this fit the bill. I had my suspicions about a Wal-Mart eyecare center but Dr Cho seems to be independent of Wal-Mart and everyone there seemed friendly. I waited for 20 minutes in a waiting room with old magazines and was promptly seen and given my rx without any pressure to switch lenses, etc. There is not an optical center here- no glasses to choose from- but for a reasonably-priced fitting this is a good place to go. read more

The doctor provides really good customer service, and his office staff resolved an insurance issue quickly.

Location: Conveniently right next to Wal-Mart, so I can order my contacts right after my appointment. Customer Service: Fantastic! I've never had issues with making an appointment or having my questions answered. No matter how stupid my questions sounded, no one made me feel uncomfortable and took my questions seriously, which I really appreciated. Exams: The women who work there are very friendly and the office is ALWAYS clean. Dr. Cho is very friendly, as well. He explains step by step what the exams are about, why this or that happens, etc. I think recently, he's brought in a female doctor (who from what I remember only comes in on Tuesdays) and she is very friendly, as well. I always go in for a check to renew my contact lens prescriptions. My only downside is that for a temporary pair, it's like $40! I don't know if that's standard, but that was always a surprise to me. :/ On the flipside, they take various forms of insurance! I use a health insurance company that is a smaller brand, so I was very happy to hear that they accepted mine. Overall? This place is one of the best offices I've ever been to! I'm usually terrible with going into any doctors' office, but this place is very well-lit, very clean, and everyone is friendly. I would definitely recommend Dr. Cho! P.S. This place says appointment only, but if you walk-in when they don't have anyone, they usually take you. I've done that a handful of times, and when they don't have any patients, they've always taken me in. I wish I could recommend when those times are, haha! My wife and I went to Dr. Paul Cho's office yesterday. My wife made an appointment for her eye exam. We found Dr. Cho was impolite and rude. In the past we saw other optometrists in the same facility and were reasonably satisfied with their services. My wife works for Walmart. Walmart told her that she would get discount from the facility as the facility is located in the Walmart building. We asked about the discount and Dr. Cho started yelling at us asking "who is Walmart"? Later on she continued to misbehave with my wife when he was even checking her eyes telling her that he does not like people asking about discounts in front of other patients. We left the facility feeling sad. As a result of his rude behavior we decided that we will never go back to the same facility so he lost three patients but we will also spread the word. read more

I went in for C&P for VA exam at this place. It was a bad experience I drove back from NC just to see him. The Dr. spent about 2-3 minutes look at my eyes. He didn't even look up my files then goes help another patient for 15 minutes come back in and tell me I'm done. read more

Doctor Cho is really good during the exam and explaining what was going on. However, the contact lens instruction and procedure for how to, how long, care was completely inadequate. The staff needs to be trained better and communicate better. read more

I have been going to this practice for my annual exam for 3 years, and have been very happy. I saw Dr. Cho 2 times, and one of his associates 1 time. Dr. Cho is very personable and easy to talk to. He is patient and will answer any questions you have. The exam itself doesn't take long, but I never felt that it was rushed, and whenever I asked any question, he would pause and address my concerns/questions. My experience with his associate was also positive. Another plus is that the practice is right next to Walmart Vision Center, and you can easily order reasonably priced glasses and/or contacts after your exam. I will be going to this practice as long as I live in the area. read more

Dr. Paul Cho is wonderful! My whole family goes to him. A few years ago we discovered him on a trip to Walmart when we were low on funds and needed eye care. Dr. Cho impressed us all with his friendly manner, and his knowledgeable and thorough approach. We had to go to an ophthalmologist for my son for what we thought was a medical eye problem, and we left wishing we had stayed with Dr. Cho - who actually was more helpful fixing the problem. The convenience factor and low cost are simply great side-benefits - now that we have the resources to go elsewhere, we don't want to! Dr. CHo is simply the best - we recommend him highly. read more

I go to this optometrist on a yearly basis to renew my daughter's prescription and had previously had daily good experiences there. This time was entirely different. It began with an incredibly rude receptionist who would continuously cut me off or interrupt me as I was asking question or finding out whether my insurance was covered there, which it wasn't. My daughter was then sent to a room for some screenings and she noticed that the machines were really dirty in the area where one puts their head and chin on. This was yet another difference from the appointment we had last year. The office itself must have been going through some technical difficulties because the systems were down and my daughters information could not be pulled. Due to the, the optometrist took his time to meet us. When he did, he failed to greet or even notice that existed. He did the test while he was in and out of the office trying to figure out why he couldn't pull everything up. He then just told us that her vision slightly changed without any explanation to why or any details whatsoever. When I tried to ask he was incredibly sarcastic and dismissive. When it was finished, we when to the receptionist who was on the phone, she had us wait and then still remained with the same terrible attitude that she started with. When I attempted to ask one last question, she tried to cut me off, and I had to kind of exclaim at her so that she could keep quite and listen. She assumed that she knew what I was going to say before a said it more than once. I then had to pay for the full price and the unbelievable incompetent costumer service.
