Carlos and team arrived early on the designated day, explained what they would be doing and how long it would take roughly, and then got to work. They had all the proper gear (basket crane to get really high up), wood chipper to break down the branches they cut, and they did a wonderful job of cleaning up after. They also were able to work around a bee hive that was in our big tree. So everything went well, the job was well done, and the service and communication was great as well. Of all the companies that provided quotes, JC Tree Experts was the most detailed. Some simply scribbled a price on their business card, but JC Tree Experts emailed a detailed quote explaining exactly what work was included, debris hauled away, etc., photos of the trees to be worked on, arborist certification, and even their insurance certificate as evidence that the company and their employees were covered in the event of accident or injury on our property. This was by far more than any other company provided, and it was a clear indication of their level of professionalism. Theirs was not the lowest quote, but was much more reasonable than some. They arrived as scheduled to do the work - in fact, a little early. It was a large crew with two large trucks and a wood chipper. The crew confirmed the expectations with us and set to work. They were all cheerful and friendly, but worked quite efficiently, completing the work in less than an hour. They did a great job on the trees, cleaned up all the debris completely, and even used a blower to make sure they didn't miss anything. I wholeheartedly recommend JC Tree Experts. The first boss came over, and was very professional and courteous. Looked around, answered my questions, and made some expert suggestions. He understood the vibe I was going for. The crew of 3 came with truck and chipper. The foreman was also very responsive and polite. They were willing to take some direction, bit just do the minimum and get out. They did the divide and conquer, taking care of the smaller jobs in parallel. They were done in a couple hours. Good service, good price, professional and expert at their craft!

Living in the woods after experiencing a total loss fire was a bit nerve-racking, but we fell in love with this property in the redwoods. I knew we needed to do a bunch of large tree branch cutting for safety and also aesthetic purposes. Also we needed removal of fire risk dead branches on the ground all over the property and on steep forest hillsides. I had no idea how to tackle this new type of property maintenance, as we never had to do this type of tree work in Los Angeles, as well as we didn't have any local resources yet. I was really hoping that we could find someone here that we could trust with our beautiful old redwood trees - but still be affordable. After meeting Victor, we did an extensive property walkthrough to go over all of our goals, questions, and concerns. He spent so much time talking through it all with us, and I was so relieved to find that he was SO good with his attention to details, wealth of knowledge, and great communication skills. I felt in good hands with Victor overseeing the job itself, knowing he would be on site to make sure all the details we had discussed and confirmed would in fact be completed - as we had imagined & planned. I asked Ian Geddes Tree Care if they could "please come out and cut the split limb off" so it wouldn't drop on any cars parked in the lot. I had put out cones, signs and caution tape in the 2 parking spaces directly under the tree limbs and the cones were simply moved over and the parking spaces were still being used.... Ian Geddes Tree Care came out the very next morning and cut the split limb and trimmed the tree away from the car spaces.
