Very friendly and polite personnel. Nice clean and orderly salon, with black and white modern bistro style decor. Numerous customers having various treatments including weaving, coloring, and cut / style. Everyone seemed pleased and relaxed. My own hair turned out very well. Arlene was my stylist; she did a great job making suggestions and delivering results. read more

I recently moved to Southport, and as many of us fear, a new hairdresser. Magui did a fantastic job. She made me feel comfortable and very welcome as a new guest. She listened to what I wanted, and I got a great haircut. read more

This is a lovely salon. Clean, professional, all the employees seem so happy to be here. Go see Marisa. She is wonderful and so talented. I love my haircut and the color services I've received are amazing. 5 stars!! read more

Very friendly, talented staff in a convenient Fairfield location that's is reasonably priced for the quality and attention

It says my review needs at least 85 characters and to add a few more thoughts to post a review. My thoughts are that I shouldn't have to post my thoughts in paragraph form just to give my opinion on a business, which can be done by my start rating. read more

Amazing new location, superior stylists, and a staff that is warm, welcoming, and kind. This place is incredible. I'd never go anywhere else! read more

I have been going to the salon for five years now and the staff has always been kind, professional, and talented!

I like this spot and there is good energy here. Who doesn't love looking at the flowy long white drapes on the front porch while driving by? A lovely site. Hair cutters all seem to have been there for years. It's like a family and everyone is very nice. Upstairs they have services like massage, facials, makeup and nails. Plenty of parking. And a nice salon setting. Not the usual cold factory feeling one often encounters in standard salons. Yelp deal is a great way to try them out. read more

This salon and Arlene came highly recommended by a good friend. And my experience was even better than I had expected. Arlene is fantastic! So calming, professional, great listener and talented. Love her. The space is relaxing with good source of natural lighting and not as noisy as most salons I've visited. I highly recommend the salon and Arlene! read more

I returned to the Paul Albert Salon in less than two weeks after Jenn chopped off my hair. This time, I saw Stacey who had the same hair color as me. It was easy to point out her highlights as the color I originally wanted for mine. "You want brown on brown instead of blonde on brown", she says. Yes!! Okay, easy fix with a glaze. As for haircut, I explained that I just want a symmetric cut, even on both sides. She cut the bottom layers off and gave me a blunt bob. She also suggested adding more hair to my bangs because they were too wispy. Not enough given at the front. I appreciate her giving the suggestion to make my bangs look better by adding thickness. She also sat in front of me to compare both sides, which is what a stylist should obviously do, and gave me what I wanted. Like Jenn, she is friendly and bubbly but the difference is that Stacey admitted from the beginning that I do have a lot of hair to work with and because of that, she had to eliminate the massage part after hair washing. Even with no drying and styling, she still had to text her next client that she was going to run 15 minutes late. I understand that I have a lot of hair which is why I always tell receptionists that I have a lot of hair and if they can allot the adequate time. I was okay with Stacey not drying and styling my hair if it meant not rushing to achieve the desired cut and color. I walked out a very happy customer with what I wanted, a blunt bob and subtle caramel highlights that matched the color of my bangs. Overall, I highly recommend Stacey and this salon. From Becca (the receptionist) to the girls at the washing station, this experience was what I imagined getting and Stacey nailed it. read more

Paul Albert Salon - Bob haircut - Skin Care Near Me - Fairfield, Connecticut

This salon was recommended by a good friend who has been a customer there for years. The level of professionalism, customer service, and attention to client's needs is superb. Arlene is wonderful and Paul does a great job at meeting his client's expectations. They are both able to adapt to all kinds of customers, and treat them with the utmost respect no matter the circumstances! Highly recommend their services! read more

I totally agree with his description of a guy with great humor, warmth, love of life and gregarious personality. And more. I dyed and cut my hair with him today and he did a marvelous job! And believe me, it was a challenge since he had to fix a horrendous carrot color I did myself (imagine that, I'm a brunette!) and my non-professional cut they made me in Triloma (by the way). I'm not only happy with my new look, I'm also happy because I feel I had a coffee at a friend's house. :( I forgot to buy the $40 voucher for first time customers :( read more

I am new to the area and was looking for a new hair salon. I've tried other places but wasn't very happy with the results. People at Paul Albert's are friendly and listen to what you want. The price is about right for a good hair cut. I love my new hair cut and I am sure this will be my new go to salon. read more

If I could simply rate the owner of this place (Paul Albert), I'd give him 10 stars! Nicest guy on the planet--warm, bubbly, loud, hilarious, and very creative. I hate a lot of people, so trust me that's saying a lot. He creates a fun salon "family-style" atmosphere and is constantly redecorating the place to keep it fresh and new. He's been doing my family's hair ever since we moved to the area in 1995...so almost 15 years! We all go--my mom, dad, brother and myself. He cuts, colors, styles, etc. All of our friends and neighbors now go as well. Now that I'm living in Atlanta, I don't usually wait to go to him for my haircut and go locally. I never thought I got an over-the-top stylish haircut here, but it was always a basic good quality cut. I definitely think he's one of the better places in CT, although for some reason everyone thinks Peter Copola is the most trendy. Maybe people should realize that price doesn't equal quality. Do your research folks--some of the stylists who used to work at Peter Coppola now work for Paul Albert, and they charge a hell of a lot less! read more

Paul Albert has been my "go to" for just about 10 years. My stylist Gerri is a game-changer. I can't tell you how many times friends and strangers have stopped me to compliment my hair cut and ask who does it. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It's my little get away once a month. I highly recommend! read more

I started going to Paul Albert Salon over 10 years ago. I was so tired of the other salons in Fairfield County - I'd been a regular at Shahin, then switched to Noelle, but their pretentious attitudes were off the charts. I wanted a salon that offered fabulous services and stylists, without making me feel like I wasn't good enough to be there! I like that everyone at Paul Albert is friendly and attentive - from the moment I walk in the door to the time I leave, I feel "at home" and comfortable. I go to Paul, the owner, but every one of his stylists is fantastic - you really can't go wrong. Arlene is a wizard with keratin blowdrys! And Kathy's (the esthetician) calm demeanor just adds to your experience. I could go on - Jenn, Lea, Maggy, etc., etc. - they're all fantastic, and, in 10+ years, I don't think I've ever seen a client walk out who isn't happy and doesn't look gorgeous! Prices are excellent, and additional services - skin care, nail care, massage - are offered as well. read more

A great salon that is friendly and has the most comfortable atmosphere. I've been seeing Geri for almost 20 years. I have dark hair and lots of gray. She is a board certified colorist and knows just how to brighten my hair color with my skin tone. I just went to see her again yesterday and once again, she did a fabulous job on my color! read more

I originally got to this salon via a Groupon, had a fabulous cut by Lia and will be going for my 4th cut by her tomorrow. Even when the cut is all grown out, it keeps its shape and I have been delighted with each cut. read more

I've been going here for a while and I've never left unhappy! I see Arlene (who is a gem of a person) but you cannot go wrong with any stylist! It's fairly priced considered other nearby salons. If you're ever worried about pricing, you can always set up a consultation. All of their pricing can be found on their website as well. Be sure to bring cash for tips as you cannot put tips on your card (they do thanks debt or credit for payment though). Honestly, just go! read more

Can't say enough great things about Paul Albert salon. The calm atmosphere, bright lights, coffee, wine and snacks at the door create a welcoming environment. Everyone is super friendly and sweet. I've been seeing Maggie for about five years now and absolutely adore her. She is consistent and listens to what I want. I know each time I go in for highlights or a cut, I am going to leave feeling refreshed and loving my new hair! I used to go to a variety of salons in NYC and had trouble finding a place like this. Was so happy to find Maggie in Westport. I even take my 3 year old daughter to see her for haircuts and she loves it! I would highly recommend Maggie! read more

I followed my stylist here and travel far to keep the great look she gives me. Everyone at this salon is friendly and talented. I highly recommend stacey as well as the other talent there. Very friendly yet professional atmosphere. Went in for a simple haircut and came out with exactly what I wanted. Lea was efficient, personable and has years of experience under her belt. I would go back again for my next haircut and would recommend to those in Westport who are looking for a new hair salon. Used the $40 for $65 Yelp voucher for a $55 haircut, which made it a more enticing deal compared to other salons in the area. read more

I've been going to Gerri at Paul Albert for over 10 years. She is an excellent colorist and hairstylist. My hair is short and I'm extremely picky and she always cuts and highlights my hair beautifully. I always receive compliments on my hair- even from strangers and other stylists. They owner Paul and everyone else there are extremely friendly and professional. read more

You'll never want to leave! I rarely write reviews, and never just an hour after I've left a place, but Paul's salon deserves every star I'm giving it. Meeting Paul is like meeting a good old friend , so warm you just want to hug him. Arlene brought my hair from black to a chocolate brown with caramel highlights. Exactly what I wanted and it looks amazing!! Paul checked on us throughout the process, not because it was necessary, but because he wants to make sure everyone is happy, and everyone is!! Thanks to you!! read more

The worst management and service I have ever experienced. Paul, the owner, caters to his "high valued" clients while others like me are left picking up the scraps. I had numerous appointments for haircuts and coloring with Arleene, with no addressed problems. Loving her for who she is and being a faithful client I decided to go to this salon where she works and continued seeing her as a client. After today and the way I was treated by both Paul and Arleene, it left me bewildered. I was treated horrible at the front desk. The business was highly recommended from a family a member and I was a faithful client. The front desk was always rude and not helpful, regardless I still continue going there. The front staff was portrayed as an innocent part of a comprised lie to make the clients at fault. I can take my business elsewhere that would value me and my references more. I thought that my patronage was valued. I was wrong. I recommend looking elsewhere, where your time and money is more appreciated. read more

Walking into Paul Albert Salon is like walking into a great neighborhood bar. In fact, the only thing that could make this place better is cocktails (hint, hint). Everybody is so welcoming and friendly. Nobody (including me) knew what to do with my hair until Jenn came along. I will never go anywhere else (unless they kick me out). Seriously, the staff here are skilled professionals. You can't go wrong. read more

Had a great haircut with Arlene, I called the same day and got an appt. Would def recommend to anyone looking for a salon in Westport.

I found Paul Albert's by following Leah. I have continue to go here because as others have said they treat me like I am important to them. As I have seen everyone gets treated the same. I can usually get an appointment to meet my schedule. And I usually walk out feeling satisfied and looking like I am ready to face the World. Bobbie always gives me a reminder call the day before my appointment which I am grateful to receive as I have been known to forget once in awhile. Leah always makes sure that I am satisfied before I leave. Plus Paul always has the coffee pot on. Nothing like having a cup of coffee and get your hair styled and having a bit of gossip, just the friendly kind. read more

I have been hunting for a new salon after getting some ho hum hair cuts. Saw some Groupon deals, but the reviews for some of those salons were not great. Also, I want to be able to afford a cut at the salon if I like it. This salon was a winner. I have really long hair and the appt booker suggested Arlene as a stylist. She was great. Gave me a great cut and blow out. I have lived in Westport 22 years and I wish I found this place earlier. And they even served wine on a Friday afternoon ...I will be back read more

Got my hair cut with Jenn- she did a great job to fix the mess of a haircut I had and walked me through what she was doing to correct it. Finished off with a great blow out- I'm definitely coming back! To top it off Jenn is super friendly! read more

Have been going here a couple of years and Stacey, my hairdresser and colorist is awesome. I also once had Jen cut & color my hair when our schedules didn't match, and another awesome experience. Referred almost all my friends there and they all love it too. Can't go wrong! read more

Love this salon! When I got there for the first time which was last week I parked and saw what looked to be a house. And as I was slowly walking up to it thinking that I misread the address the owner Paul saw me and welcomed me in saying that I was in the right place. And as soon as I walked through the door the receptionist was very nice and had me meet Arlene my stylist and colorist right away. And I have to say that Arlene is amazing! She is a delight to be with! So happy, attentive and so funny! As a first timer to her she asked me about what my vision might be with my hair and we agreed on a certain color and cut and I couldnt be happier with how it turned out! I love my hair! I cant wait to go back! If any one is looking for a new place and a new stylist definitely come here to try it out with Arlene! You wont be disappointed!! read more
