Location is great and it's a really nice vibe inside. I appreciated that they got me in fairly quickly for an appointment as a lot of salons are very booked right now. I just wasn't too thrilled about my overall experience, hence the 3-stars. I was scheduled for a glaze and a haircut. It took my stylist 3 tries to get the glaze color right for my balayage that was fading. So, 3 times sitting at the bowl for 15-20 mins each time for the glaze and wash. She was really nice and I appreciated the time and effort she took to try to get the right color. Unfortunately, it left no time for my haircut. She did offer to still do the haircut but I had to leave to pick-up my daughter and wasn't sure how much longer it would take. I also wanted a few grey roots to be covered with semi-permanent color and they don't offer that - only permanent color in the line of products they use? Blow-dry was an extra $35. You would think it would be included in the cost of the glaze. When I booked the original appointment for glaze and haircut - I was told blow dry would be included. So the least they could do was not charge me for it given I didn't even get the haircut I was supposed to get. So $95+tip for just a glaze and a mediocre blow-dry. Also, I'm not sure I'd come here if unvaccinated. Masks aren't required but I wasn't asked if I was vaccinated and there was definitely a client there who wasn't masked and wasn't vaccinated either based on the conversation I overheard. Not sure if all the stylists are vaccinated but no masks were worn inside whatsoever. But, I guess that's just the reality everywhere now - unvaccinated people not wearing their masks as recommended and it's likely happening in other places too unfortunately. read more

I have been going to Gabriella for about 3 years now. She always does something new and updated to my hair whether it's a new color or cut. I trust her to do what she feels will look best on me and she always does an exceptional job. When Gabbie is booked I'll go to Shelby, Brianna, or Alyssa for color or blow out. They are each so uniquely talented and I've never felt so comfortable with a salon or all of their stylists like at Gavali. If there were 10 stars possible I'd give to each one. Also, want to add that they are great with funky colors and new age trends. My husband also recently brought our son to see Erin and he's now done with the kids hair places because Erin does a way better job and he was so comfortable with her. It's a big deal when my husband prefers a salon over his barber of 15 years that he's been considering trying Erin for himself. Love all the Gavali ladies! read more

My appointed started 20 minutes late and from that point on felt completely rushed. My stylist did not understand my hair type and left me extremely oily to the point of needing to be rewashed when I got home. The cut was fine overall but she she made no attempt to style it how I asked because her next client was already there waiting. Just not the experience I expected from a high end salon. read more

So happy I found this salon!!! I just moved here from California, and my aunt had been cutting my hair out there for years so I was really nervous to have someone else cut it. I picked this salon because I love the pictures they posted and the stylish decor of the salon itself. KATIA DID AN AMAZING JOB ON MY HAIR!!!! A couple years ago, I put too much blonde in my hair and it broke off and really ruined my hair... I'm still recovering from it, but parts of my hair are uneven. Katia gave me the haircut of my dreams that left my hair long, healthier, and evened out.. she was able to make some of the broken parts of my hair look like shorter layers that were meant to be there. I will definitely be going back and I'm so happy to have found a hair stylist out here!!! read more

I have finally found my stylist spirit animal.....! she was extremely accommodating from the very beginning and was also so helpful when I couldn't quite make up my mind about color. I can not begin to tell you how happy I was when I walked out of that salon....I've been getting such compliments too since my appointment. Beautiful space. Nice and professional people. To bad they are in the back with not to much visibility. I loved the hair cut. I was so happy they fit me in cause due to COVID 19 I needed a cut bad! They did my eye brow and I looked like I had surgery for a week. Very embarrassing. To there defense they did cool the wax but I somehow I got burned anyway. Shelby did an AMAZING job with my hair and it's still healthy and looks good almost three months later. Gabbie, went above and beyond my expectations by allowing me to leave with a gray tone. I've had trouble finding a decent salon and I've finally found one with knowledgeable stylists, affordable prices and warm friendly smiles to welcome me as I walk through the door! I used to use katia but she since moved away so now I have regularly been using Allyson who is super sweet and asks if she doesn't know something! She makes sure you're comfortable and really tries to understand what you want before she does it. Briana has once helped and also Alyssa who are also gems! The owner is VERY accommodating and all of the girls in there are very sweet and work awesome as a team! The only itty bitty thing I would maybe request is a mini massage when they wash your hair with the conditioner! That was always something I looked forward to when I got to a salon, it would be amazing if all of them did it! But don't let that stop you! They're also opening new salon soon so they'll be in two locations in Fairfield! Yay! read more

The owner is meticulous and works hard to watch over her staff to provide her professional counsel, unlike other salons. I am a light brown with a red hue which is horrible for going into a cool color. Gabby was extremely helpful and professional.
