We are so lucky to have this wonderful refuge and oasis for our pups. This particular dog park is a combination of concrete and astroturf which keeps it accessible and usable even on days when it rains (I've seen the mud pit that other local dog parks become, because of their dirt ground). There is a creek water feature the dogs love in the summer, a bridge of rocks for them to run across and three hills (two large, one small) on which to romp and play. If there's too much energy, size and speed for your pup, there is an adjacent small park especially for smaller and older pups. I love that the park has two entrances/exits, both with double gates and both with rules posted. I only wish folks would follow the rules and be consistently considerate of others. My biggest gripe would be humans not cleaning up after their dogs, leaving the feces behind for someone else to deal with and parents coming into the park with their small children. If memory serves, the rules do not allow for children under the age 8 (regardless of whether they are accompanied by parents or not). People don't seem to realize there are very good reasons for these rules. I've seen too many instances where parents dismiss the rules and believe they're the exception, "oh, we have dogs at home. My child loves dogs." A dog park is where dogs should be able to run freely, it's not a playground for children. There's actually one of those directly across the street.

I stopped in Baltimore to break up a road trip and wanted to give my dog some exercise after being in the car all day. I don't think either of us were too impressed. The small dog side was very small and I was expecting there to be grass. It's mostly concrete with one or two turf hills. I guess we are just spoiled by the dog park in our city which is why I was disappointed. I will say it was very clean and that it was nice there was water even in the winter (our dog park shuts off the fountains once it gets cold). It was better than nothing and while the small dog side was empty, the big dog side was very busy with lots of pups enjoying themselves.

We are visiting from Florida and we are staying nearby and discovered this park. Fantastic find! Clean, seating for people, poop bags & water.

I found this dog park when I was looking for a place to take my young and very energetic dog. This park is great! There is plenty of room for the dogs to run around, tennis balls to play with as well as water! I would definitely recommend this dog park to anyone.

Great place to take big and small dogs. It has 2 separate areas, kiddy pools, water fountains, artificial grass mounds and the people are generally friendly and watchful of their dogs.

This park is relatively clean for what it is. I've never really have seen any dog misbehave here and most of the owners are attentive enough to pick up after their dog when it dumps out. They have grocery bags there in case you run out of your own poo bags.

I went to this park for the first time today and it was wonderful they had water there and running for the dogs the visitors were all so friendly and almost all the dogs were perfectly behaved and it was BUSY - it was very clean and safe!

I get so bored at the dog park so bark social is a fun twist in the routine. Having a beer and watching all the pups play is the best. Love their beer selection, lots of local favorites on tap. Food is ok, not great, wraps and flatbread pizzas (a shareable size). Go the pizza path. They have a small section for little dogs, which is great, but usually quite dead. We usually opt for the main area, in the summer water basins (kind of like a doggie plunge pool) and ice cube drops are staples. The dogs love it. While their staff is EXCEPTIONAL, they keep an eye on dog's safety and are on top of cleanliness, Bark Social still comes with the common pains of your standard dog park. A little more so, as some patrons leave a little too much responsibility with the staff to monitor dogs. No dog toys allowed. Overall, always have a blast here. Highly recommend a visit. Bonus: they have a lot of TVs, I plan to spend football season here as much as possible this year.

Whether you want to walk along the waterfront, sit on a bench with a view, or just let the breeze hit your face while your kids play. It has a little bit of everything. I've been here at least 5-7 times and still haven't explored it all! Playground: There's something for every age group from a sweet tot lot for the little ones to a multi-level climbing structure with twisty slides that kept my oldest busy for a while. There are swings, a merry-go-round, and plenty of open space to run around or play. Scenic Walks & Waterfront: We usually park near the visitor center (convenient and close to everything!) and stroll down to the pier or relax on the benches with that peaceful waterfront view. You'll find grassy picnic spots, a pier with folks fishing, and even a small beach and separate dog beach. The trails are partly shaded and the breeze coming off the water makes it feel extra calming. Stroller-Friendly: Yes, it's stroller-friendly! The trails are paved, but heads-up: it's not totally flat there are some hills. Still, it's very walkable and manageable with a stroller. Great for littles who need a nap or just want a ride. Extras: Bathrooms are located inside the visitor center, and there's a quiet garden area called Mary's Garden if you need a tranquil reset. I've always had friendly experiences with the park staff when entering and asking questions. Parking is $6 per car and there's usually plenty of space, especially if you don't mind walking a bit. Why I Love It: This park has become one of my go-to spots when we need a peaceful outing. Between the water views, the open space, and the mix of kid-friendly and adult-friendly features, it's just easy to love. Perfect for picnics, gentle mornings, or letting your thoughts wander while the kids play.

The dog beach rules are pretty much the same as with any other dog beach. Children under six years old must be accompanied by an adult. No human or dog food allowed on the beach. Humans aren't allowed to swim in the water. And of course, no aggressive dogs. I do wish there was a wash station either at the beach or nearby, which would be very convenient to both human and dog.

I didn't see any info there on how to join. I suspect it's a neighbor running it who may not want people to join. Hard to say. Otherwise it's very odd that the only place with information on the park won't share it with the public. I almost gave up trying to join (and I literally live down the street), but then one day I saw this application at the library. It says to mail it in. I haven't tried yet. I hope that works. If not, then I have no idea how to get the gate code. It's almost like no one wants you to join. What a weird concept for a public dog park. Anyway attached is the application if it's helpful. FYI you need a city dog license and updated rabies cert to join (if you can figure out how to join!).
