Latrobe Park is a broad rather-hidden park with a field-sports field (football, soccer, lacrosse, etc), two basketball courts, three tennis courts, a volleyball court, and several treed and open spaces. I think the next-door baseball diamonds and soccer field are connected to the Francis Scott Key Elementary/Middle School. At least weekly, we spend a morning or afternoon at the semi-shaded younger-kids' playground. There's a curly slide, a many-featured climber-acrobatic structure, a sea serpent climber set, swings, a seesaw, a spinning saucer-seat, and other stuff i dont quite know names for. read more

A small park located in south Baltimore. There are some good treats located around that you can grab and take a short walk around the premises. The park doesn't have a ton of green space, but it has many athletic set ups, including volleyball, tennis courts, and soccer fields. It also has a playground with swings for the kiddos. It's surely a more lowkey option for a picnic. There are also doggies bags and trash cans to promote clean up after your pets. read more

Latrobe Park has a soccer and football field, a tennis and basketball court, a playground for children and a small dog park. It's a relatively clean park in a nice neighborhood. They do have some parking on the east side of the park (by the tennis courts and dog park), but you really need to rely on street parking along Fort Ave. There are some bars and restaurants nearby as well as a church right across the street. read more

Wonderful park with an amazing dog park. Easy to access, good parking, and a fun place to let your dog explore. Only downside is that there is no separate area for small dogs. But the dog owners were friendly and attentive to communal caring of my small dog. Definitely a hidden gem! read more

This park was a good size for my dogs. It's not split into 2 sizes, so my toy dog freaked when larger dogs tried to sidle up to her. It's got a large hill, a rock to climb on, giant tree log, and a weird water feature that must be used more in the summer time. Owners are friendly and usually watch their dogs if they have an accident, but if your dog sneaks up on the other side of the hill to do a poop, you may not see. I kind of wished people walked their dog before just heading into the park. The larger dogs didn't mind how "small" the area is. I saw one of the reviewers upset that it was not a large court. It's enough to frolic in, but not run a greyhound race. There was an Irish Wolfhound in there that was happy. We will visit again, before I move out of state to a new travel job. read more

This park is my absolute favorite one in the Baltimore area. There is an area for water and the terrain isn't just flat, so the dogs can get better exercise. The park is very spacious and clean. I love coming here because I am able to let my puppy run around and not have to worry about much. The people and dogs are friendly. I have not had a bad experience thus far. I think the fountain for water is very nice and convenient. I also like the Canton dog park, but if you don't feel like getting your dog dirty then you'll have better luck at this dog park. The canton doesn't have paved ground so it's pretty much all dirt. read more

I really love this park, but I have an issue with the humans that frequent it. Just today I had an issue with other dogs there. My dog is a still a puppy at only 4 months old, but she isn't a small pup by any means. There were many dogs there that kept roughhousing with her, a little too far, and I was the only one to intervene, no other owners (of the dogs who were doing that to her to be specific) were getting involved. Also, the place has become a bit cluttered in the "stream" area. Leaves and such along the stream, trash and junk gathered all around the perimeter on the inside and outside both. The place needs to be cleaned up quite a bit. To be explicit, I really do love the park, and it is still our go-to play place. However, I have an issue with the humans that go and just disregard any responsibility of their pet once they are inside and they have the leash off. There needs to be some enforcement there. Don't know how, but come on people. I saw one dog pick 3 fights today. Sorry, but after the first one, you need to go out of the park. Not saying permanently, but at least for a while till there is less dogs or whatever stimulated that to happen is gone. Also, as Beth Lacey had stated, please be kind and pick up a pile or two while you are there. Give the benefit of the doubt that some owners just didn't see it happen. There is a little hill inside the park and your dog can disappear for 1 minute, drop a pile, come back, and you don't know any better. This park is still my favorite, but with overcrowding, it is a place to avoid at peak times. read more

Favorite park in Baltimore. Located in Locust Point but just minutes from the heart of Federal Hill. They have a fenced-in dog park that is less crowded than Patterson Park's. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, turf fields, and large grassy areas. There is also a fenced-in playground for children. A rec center is located by the street for community use. Soccer Shots offers soccer lessons for young children here. Recreational sports (VOLO) hold soccer games on the turf field. Plenty of shaded areas and pathways for walking. Truly enjoy this park! read more

This is the nicest dog park I've ever been to I just wish it wasn't always so packed. It's right off of 95 or like most of us, right down the street. The park is paved but the main dog area is turf and has a hue tree in the middle. There is a water fountain there which is sometimes broken and they do have dog poo bags that run out. The bad part about the park isn't the park itself but the people who go there. I've seen on many occasions people just like their dog go to the bathroom and they leave it there. I think that's rude for the other dogs and other owners. I try and go when I know that no one is going to be there. read more

This park isn't perfect, but I have to say it's the best dog park I've been to in baltimore. A membership is asked for but pretty much anyone can use it. It's good that it's accessible, but your dogs do stand a greater chance of getting humped here than at someplace with a stricter policy. It's pretty spacious, in a safe area, and next to a super-nice new under armour field. Plenty of parking, decent space to run around for your doggies, and clean for the most part. Worst part is the drainage system...just doesn't work, which leaves a super-gross drain grate at the end. And the weeds could be trimmed a bit more. But overall, for now, I think this is the best bet for your pups in the area. read more

This has been a great find for my dog, since there isn't a dog park in Catonsville. Latrobe almost always has easy parking and it's right off of 95, which is great. There's a fun log to run over and under, and water access. People there are always polite, and there are solid benches with plenty of shade. The biggest drawback is that it is not well monitored, so there are visitors who are not as fastidious at picking up after their pups. Bring bags with you, and if you can, pick up one extra pile to help keep the place nice for everyone! There is no small dog portion, which doesn't bother me since I have a golden retriever, but if your dog doesn't do well with large dogs, it might not be the site for you. read more

Improvement Area (very minor): I like to be able to see my pooch at all times. The hill in the middle is just high enough that I am not able to see across the entire park at all times. My dog and I love this dog park. It's small but functional and a lot of nice dogs come here (mostly bigger but the vast majority are well-behaved). The only thing is that lately tons of people haven't been picking up their dog's poop. This leads to smashed nasty poop and a not so great smell. Be sure to bring some poop bags along. read more

There's a nice playground, with a set of equipment for children 2-5 and a set for older kids, plus lots of swings. Unfortunately, the shade in the picture wasn't up (we could have used it on the hot day). I can't review the dog park but it looked very nice. There's lots of parking, on the street and in a private lot. The park is also easy to get to off of I-95, right before the Ft. McHenry tunnel. read more

Visited this park for some football on the Astro turf field. Very clean park and we all had a great time.

Dog park is great, but it's filled with awful people. Very few people clean up after their dogs. Lots of dog fights (and fights between owners for that matter). On the opposite end of the spectrum lots of owners who view dogs playing as dogs fighting and freak out over it. It's a dog park, dogs seem aggressive when they're playing but they're PLAYING. One woman complained about another dog drooling on hers... give me a break. If you don't want to deal with uptight owners DO NOT come here. read more

This place is really just so/so. The astroturf is nice in the winter because it doesn't get muddy, but in the summer, it seems to get just absolutely disgusting. I used to bathe my dogs every time we went here because they would come home smelling like dog poop/pee from that grass. Overall there are very nice dogs and people here, but there are a few people with aggressive dogs who let their dogs come in and terrorize everyone else. You always know when they've arrived because half the people in the park leave. read more
