Great park just over the county line in Parkville/Baltimore. Hidden in an urban neighborhood is the park with trails, a run, even small waterfalls. There is baseball, picnicking and a community garden. About 3 miles from Hamilton Lauraville. For trail runners ...you can mix it up and get in a 30 minutes but can loop around and lengthen. Great find.

This park is quiet, clean and oh man the streams are beautiful. You will find out why it's called 'Double Rock' once you take a hike through the woods. My bf and I come here often to just 'take a hike' or eat takeout outdoors. If you are a tree lover, like me, you'll find Double Rock peaceful. I love taking pictures of the various places throughout the park. If you want to reserve a pavilion, you must contact Baltimore County in order to rent it. Happy Hiking!

Lovely little park in Nottingham. I really enjoyed all of the different hiking paths they offer. It is a bit hilly, so be warned if you don't do well with steep inclines. I brought two dogs with me and I found it a little difficult to keep my footing with them pulling a bit. They have ample parking, pavilions, sports fields, and bathrooms. I'm not sure if the bathrooms were unlocked while I was there, but they do exist. It seems like they are renovating some of the pavilion areas so it will be nice to see what everything looks like when it is done. Another quick FYI: the map seemed slightly off and a little hard to follow. I also think the measurements were a bit off too. Lovely place though; will definitely be going back soon (with only one dog).

There is also a nice soccer goal as well. My son loves playing here with his daddy and kicking the ball into the net. There are several tables around the playground. And it's just steps away from all the restaurants and bars of Fell's Point. This is such a nice spot for the kids and adults. Coming here is easy with the kids and pairing it with a dinner out.

With double the size of fenced in area previously there, there is plenty of room to kick or toss a ball, run around and play in the grass. They have also replaced the small older jungle gym with a huge playground. It has 5 slides, monkey bars, two climbing walls, a rope walk, and various areas to climb and run along. Plenty of room for a dozen or more kids without them running into each other. There are also areas to hide and seek, wheels to turn and little games to play. In all it's a beautiful little park. So why not 5 stars? They've left an odd 4 foot area unfenced. Not sure if they're just waiting for a special gate (the renovation was completed less than 4 weeks ago) or if this is a planned design but it makes it so that you have to watch the littles to make sure they don't dash out the door, so to speak, and right into the road. On a much smaller note, there are no swings, but this is not such a loss as there is so much else to do out there. Great walk, great weather, great park. Come on out and join us!

The pavillion close had a party and the adults were smoking weed and using profanity. Kids were not friendly to little kids. There were several 2/3 yr olds but the kids 10 and older were very wild and knocking them over. There were kids riding bikes on the playground into children. They were old enough to know better and the parents knew better. I saw a boy thrust kick a 4yr lil girl in her back as she was adjusting to get off the bottom of the slide and yelled MOVE to her. Come to find out they were not together. Her Dad was very upset and so dis another Dad see it and was alarmed and said something. I would suggest to go elsewhere with your kids unless you want to box it out with parents or kids. Save the kiddies from being hurt. Its nice but the traffic it brings in isnt a mix.

My daughter loves coming to the playground and frequently asked to go to the new Ravens park as she calls it. The playground has so many fun things for the kids to do. There are also a few pavilions to use for gatherings. There are a few Port A Potty available and full restrooms near the football fields. There is also a walking trail near the pavilions near the baseball fields. There is typically an Ice Cream Truck stationed in the parking lot especially on hot days. Parking is spacious and plentiful. Will definitely return and I love the newly added playground.

This park is HUGE! And I love me a good park…read more I've been here a few times for road races, but never to just check out the park itself. Since retiring, I've been hitting up every outdoor space on my list. I came to walk the trail(s), but one visit is simply not enough. I see that now. I'll definitely have to come back on my bike to get the lay of the land. Random, but everytime I come to this park, my GPS takes me on a tour of the neighborhood when I can see the park is RIGHT THERE. Anyway, I came during the week and parked on a side road inside the park. Again, I'm not really familiar with the best place to park to access whatever it is I'm trying to access. I started walking on the trail and was actually hoping I didn't get lost (even though my Garmin can take me back to my starting point). I asked a woman where to go and she directed me to 'the loop'. The loop will work for today! Apparently the loop was closed due to construction. There's work being done on the water tanks (or something like that). But the loop is open, and it's a bit over 1 mile. It's smooth, and I'm already plotting to try it on my bike. But there's absolutely NO SHADE on this portion, so plan accordingly. From the loop I could see the pool, tennis courts, and basketball courts, so I made my way there, via a trail. Again, the park is huge! From my research, it's the third oldest established park in the United States! Whoa! And, it covers 745 acres of land. Like I said, you'll have to come more than once to see all there is to see. That includes the Baltimore Zoo, which is inside the park. I'll be back on my bike for more recon.
