Conveniently located in Canton, allowing you to enjoy the park is every way. Parking is available on the street or in the little lot (if there are no events going on) and there is a park bathroom there, as well. My favorite part is enjoying the view of the water, seeing the sails come by, and admiring the boats that are cruising through or pulling up to the waterfront docks!

I have no real excuse other than depression and an overall lack of adventurous spirit. It's a very nice park, heavy on the sportsball fields. My boyfriend and I went to see if there was anywhere in the park where we could sit near the water and have lunch - unfortunately there is not, which is a bummer because the park DOES sidle up against a small river, but there's no way to see it with all the marsh grasses and such. There are some "viewing platforms" along the Nature Trail, and I suppose at one point they extended further into the water, but drought conditions have put a stop to that. The Nature Trail is pretty great. The path is hard packed, which meant that my chair didn't get stuck - no mud, no sand, hardly any tree roots. We explored the entire length. Didn't see much wildlife (a toad, a crane, and a squirrel), but discovered three different types of mushrooms. Lots of Pokestops, if that's your thing (TeamJerky!). The playground is my favorite thing at the park. It's wheelchair accessible!!! Sure I can't do any climbing, but the fact that I could even access the thing is so wonderful - so I did. Yes, I am a 46-year-old woman and I played on the playground. Didn't have a lot of chances to do that while I was growing up. I'll take the chances now, as they are presented. There's also a small free library house, where you can pick out a new (to you) book. It would be nice if you added one in return. We enjoyed ourselves. Would recommend.

Fort Howard was built to ensure that invaders would never come upon Baltimore soil ever again. Many historic buildings still exist but are decaying. Since North Point is State Park, you have to make reservations before entering. This requires you to create an account online and pay prior to entry. I felt that it was awkward I had to do that this morning since there was not a lot of people in the park and they were not at capacity. I'm not a fan of this at all however I do understand with some parks who meet capacity on the weekend and holidays during the summer. It's a nice area that also offers a swimming area as well as a pavilion and multiple trails to walk.

The VIP had an extra 90 minutes to enjoy the sampling. With a larger glass. Prior to general admission arriving. General admission glasses were a lot smaller. They had lot's of vendors and food trucks. The Bands were good. They had plenty of seating available. So there was no need to bring your own chairs. We stayed about three hours. I would love to come back and walk around the area because the views alone was so amazing. There is plenty of parking available nearby. Just know that there is a fee. Unless you can find street parking and just walk the distance. We did pay for parking. Which was pretty reasonable. Beautiful place definitely worth checking out. Overall 4.5 rating for the event. The park itself definitely deserves 5 stars.

The park has hiking trails, a nature center, picnic spots, a playground, and a dog park, all adjacent to Lake Roland. I recently discovered that canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and birdwatching and local favorites, too. Sometimes I go just to zone out while enjoying the weather or just taking a quick nap in the car. Very peaceful spot.

There are also some attractions along the Promenade (a lighthouse, the lighthouse keeper's house, a fish sculpture, a maritime museum, a decoy museum, and a waterfront restaurant). Walking along the Promenade and back was the highlight of our visit to Havre de Grace. It's not long, but it's a great little place to take a stop and stretch your legs if you're in the area (we were driving from Baltimore to Philadelphia and stopped for a visit to Havre de Grace on the way).

Meaning it was more dirt paths and weeds/scrubs atleast 10+ years ago. However, they still seem to preserve the natural habits (forest) for the wildlife. This is very very clean.!!! There are benchs along the paths. They have iron fencing in place as well. Parking is not abundant but its in place. And last but not least I did not see any place to potty properly legally. One can run, stroll, bike, walk your pup or sit on the manicured lawn. Please pick your dog poop up and dispose of such. There are poop bag and disposal stations around the path!! One complete lap is 1miles.
