I've been coming for years and they have still maintained this park from 2001 when my oldest was born until now in 2025. The grounds are always maintained, plenty of parking, and grills. The pavilions have outlets and plenty of space. I can appreciated this park being maintained throughout the years. The park rangers are knowledgeable , helpful and nice.

I am OBSESSED with the Hammerman Area at Gunpowder Falls. I purchased an annual state park pass,…read moremainly so I could come here and to Patapsco more regularly. The Hammerman area has a small beach, with sand and grass options. The water was a great temperature both times we went, and the water is not at all gross like I was expecting. You can go in without any water shoes. There is a building with showers, changing rooms, bathroom, water fountains, vending machines. It is close enough to walk to from the picnic table area that has grills and a large pit for hot coals. One huge downside was that I did not notice any trash cans in the area nearby. I want to go back to try some of the trails nearby.

I have no real excuse other than depression and an overall lack of adventurous spirit. It's a very nice park, heavy on the sportsball fields. My boyfriend and I went to see if there was anywhere in the park where we could sit near the water and have lunch - unfortunately there is not, which is a bummer because the park DOES sidle up against a small river, but there's no way to see it with all the marsh grasses and such. There are some "viewing platforms" along the Nature Trail, and I suppose at one point they extended further into the water, but drought conditions have put a stop to that. The Nature Trail is pretty great. The path is hard packed, which meant that my chair didn't get stuck - no mud, no sand, hardly any tree roots. We explored the entire length. Didn't see much wildlife (a toad, a crane, and a squirrel), but discovered three different types of mushrooms. Lots of Pokestops, if that's your thing (TeamJerky!). The playground is my favorite thing at the park. It's wheelchair accessible!!! Sure I can't do any climbing, but the fact that I could even access the thing is so wonderful - so I did. Yes, I am a 46-year-old woman and I played on the playground. Didn't have a lot of chances to do that while I was growing up. I'll take the chances now, as they are presented. There's also a small free library house, where you can pick out a new (to you) book. It would be nice if you added one in return. We enjoyed ourselves. Would recommend.

First time, there was no parking in front of it nor in the overflow parking area. Glad that I turned around and came back. Consider sharing a car or taking Lyft or Uber if you can, to save parking spaces for others Lot to see and do in the Village and beyond! Great chat to reenactors in the Jerusalem Miller's House. There are trails. I took the trail south of the Village and west of the River down to Jericho Bridge. The trail was easy to walk, comfortably soft, and dry. North of the road is the Little Gunpowder Trail

Honeygo Park is a great place to get outside & get active!!…read more It offers two baseball fields, a roller hockey outdoor rink, playgrounds (one made specifically for tots & another for the bigger kids), a nice football field, a very large indoor recreational center, athletic fields, & a path for running around the park. I have seen several dance companies use the indoor facility to teach dance (have seen little ballerinas bouncing around there). One thing that many people completely miss when visiting the park is that Honeygo also offers an extensive trail system through it's woods! Pretty neat. The trail entrance is located off the paved path at the bottom of the hill towards the back of the park (behind the fenced football field). Check it out!

In addition to that, it's got circle boat, launches, fuel, sales, and the small fishing shop. This is my first time visiting in the marina, but certainly won't be my last. It was a wonderful, relaxing, paddle boarding outing, with absolutely gorgeous fall colors everywhere.
