    Another view of the beach

Who knew this was here the whole time. Hubby is always surprising me with hidden places. I wasn't really dressed oe had the right shoes for a stroll. We did explore for a about a hour. There is one side for fishing, and learned from a few strangers about the area and what we would need if we wanted to take advantage. Tip 1: You will need a fishing license Tip 2: Cost to enter park $5/pp We were already for warned that the beach was crowded. And it surely was surrounded by a lot of people. The picnic areas are first come first serve, and the pavilions cost about $200. You can purchase a license to serve alcohol. There are multiple areas of facilities. I think we will be back to utilize the park.

Stunningly gorgeous! I love all of Patapsco. Peaceful and a great place to go hiking.

Hiking trails and a little river for wading.

A nice park with a river, best for hiking and wading (No place here for a party). If you take the trails to walk downstream (left from the over pass, not under it) about 1.5 miles, there is an area with quite a few larger rocks and a bit of rapids (fun). The water is a bit deeper there as well. Bring your own trash bag or keep it in your car, I didn't see any cans here.

Not enough parking. You literally wait for people to leave the few spaces available. Open a parking area for people to enjoy the park

Good local park. Many biking and walking paths. A few hiking sections with waterfalls. A few water holes to chill and sun bathe in.

For this reason, it feels very safe since there are houses and people around not too far from the middle of this park. Very good parking lot and clear map when you enter. Playgrounds and covered pavilion/picnic areas too! Even though it is small, there are a lot of trail options, you can mix and match them and make it as short or long as you want. Last time I was there I did a mixture of the inner and outer trails and it was just under 2 miles. The trails are not marked well, they are a little confusing and I get turned around every time I go there, and I am pretty good with directions! Make sure to take a picture of the map before you enter! Overall it is a very easy hike though, not a lot of steep inclines. The best part about it though is the water. It is known for the rocks obviously and small waterfalls. It is very peaceful and pretty. Someone made chairs out of tree branches at one point in the trail, that was kind of cool!

I'm always looking for something to do with my toddler on rainy days and the nature center is the perfect place to get out of the house for a bit. Whether you want to wander on a trail, visit the nature center, pack a picnic and sit on the grass, or attend an event, Cromwell has so many options. There is something to do for all ages! The events they organize for children and adults are thoughtful and engaging! We have all learned so much through their educational programs. My 3 yr old loves to visit the chickens and play in the nature center. It is such a great place to go on a rainy day! The parking lot is a short walking distance to the entrance of the nature center. On sunny days, we like to pack snacks and sit out on their picnic tables and/or grass. Their outdoor playground is so much fun too! We love exploring the gardens, visiting the frogs and seeing all the flowers bloom. It's so peaceful and relaxing to sit and listen to all the sounds of nature. On warm days, Cromwell is the perfect place to throw rocks in the stream and dip your feet in the water after hiking on the many trails! There are so many shaded spots to sit and relax. We love to go to the open fields to bring a soccer ball and a picnic blanket. Everyone who works there is so friendly and inclusive! It really is a magical place to explore and wander. My son has developed a deep love for nature through exploring the nature center and the park! We can't wait to come back!

Otherwise it's very odd that the only place with information on the park won't share it with the public. I almost gave up trying to join (and I literally live down the street), but then one day I saw this application at the library. It says to mail it in. I haven't tried yet. I hope that works. If not, then I have no idea how to get the gate code. It's almost like no one wants you to join. What a weird concept for a public dog park. Anyway attached is the application if it's helpful. FYI you need a city dog license and updated rabies cert to join (if you can figure out how to join!).

There is no start or end, so just park on one of the surrounding streets and walk over. Plus, almost all of the azaleas were blooming. I loved that they had so many different colored tulips and azaleas. They did different combination of colors in all the different flower beds, so we ended up seeing some surprisingly beautiful displays, even with some tulips no longer blooming. We weren't there very long because it was cold out, but this would be a great spot for engagement pictures or a picnic.

Although it's a privately owned park, the gardens are open to the public, with street parking on all sides. Up to 70,000 tulip bulbs are planted annually along with other spring flowering bulbs. The gardens are charming but as with anything spring-related, spring is shorter and shorter and less and less predictable. Use your best judgment to get the photos you see here. This spring, we had a mid-April heat wave and by this past Saturday, the tulips were already looking quite rough and the daffodils were gone altogether. For the best blooms and pictures, pay attention to the weather. The spring flowers were most beautiful early in April this year and the heat wave cut their beauty a bit short this year. When we visited on Saturday, it was certainly still a lovely place for a walk, and we did see plenty of people taking pictures and enjoying the gardens. However, it wasn't as beautiful by then as we might have expected for early April. A lovely little park. You can take a walk, read a book, take photos, enjoy a picnic... Certainly take advantage if you live in or are visiting this area of North Baltimore - especially in those weeks of the years when the tulips are in full strength and beauty!
