We always opt for the light rail parking lot so our route is longer. The first thing I noticed about this one is that they do not have a designated small and large dog side like our regular park. Just one big open space. Fortunately all of the big dogs were well behaved and welcomed my sweet 14 lb Frenchie with open paws. The ground is mostly dirt and small patches of grass here and there. A lot of large rocks make great seating areas. On a sunny day, I didn't notice a lot of available shade. We brought our own water and bowl so I also don't know if any are provided. Overall this is a decent, fairly large dog park. Your dog just needs to feel up for walking a little before getting all it's zoomies and energy out off-leash. The keypad to get inside isn't as nice as the card scanner at our other park; I had to really be certain I was pressing the buttons down hard enough to accept the code.

I have only been here once when I was the only person with a dog there (Wednesday at 3pm) and shortly someone else came. There are 3 large runs with the ability to fence off your dog if you choose but it mainly stays open. If you don't live in Bel Air, I do not recommend trying to get there around rush hour (5pm) because it took us an extra 30 minutes to get through all the traffic and we were very frustrated when we got there but weekends are easy. There are plenty of waterbowls for your dogs. I usually bring a gallon of water and all the dogs share spit. This is a great place in the community. Adjacent to the dog park is a nice hiking trail you can take your dog on as well. From one end and back, it is over 4 miles.

The large dog park field is very patchy. There is some grass and some soil area all around. Towards the back of the dog park, the grass is very dead and long. A couple things I noticed: - People do not pick up after their dogs so there is a lot of poop around (be careful where you step). This was the biggest disappointment for me. - They do offer complimentary poop bags. - The trash can outside the dog park near the parking lot. - There is no water for the dogs unlike most dog parks. Lots of dogs typically around 5 (apparently... today was my first time here with my dog but I spoke to a few people) Yes... there is an entry fee of $5 and proof of vaccination IS required. If you find the park to your liking, as long as your dog is up to date on vaccination, you are eligible for a one year membership which is only $40, the $40 will be good for up to 3 dogs that are your own (meaning, you don't have to pay $40 per dog if you have more than 1). I spoke to the lady who runs the park- she is very very sweet. She told me there is a Facebook group called Maryland dog park community. It seems there's lots of pictures and videos and events posted in this account, all from this location. I'm looking forward to getting this membership and bringing my pup here! Apparently no children under the age of eight are allowed, although I did see a toddler in there. Your dog must wear a Baltimore city registration tag as well as their rabies tag which I can guarantee most of the dogs in there did not have on. Dogs must be over four months old to enter the dog park and if they're over nine months, they need to be neutered or spayed. I did not see any aggressive dogs. The other thing is they do not allow you to bring your own toys. There are water fountains for the dogs. There's also only street parking.

Meaning it was more dirt paths and weeds/scrubs atleast 10+ years ago. However, they still seem to preserve the natural habits (forest) for the wildlife. This is very very clean.!!! There are benchs along the paths. They have iron fencing in place as well. Parking is not abundant but its in place. And last but not least I did not see any place to potty properly legally. One can run, stroll, bike, walk your pup or sit on the manicured lawn. Please pick your dog poop up and dispose of such. There are poop bag and disposal stations around the path!! One complete lap is 1miles.

I get so bored at the dog park so bark social is a fun twist in the routine. Having a beer and watching all the pups play is the best. Love their beer selection, lots of local favorites on tap. Food is ok, not great, wraps and flatbread pizzas (a shareable size). Go the pizza path. They have a small section for little dogs, which is great, but usually quite dead. We usually opt for the main area, in the summer water basins (kind of like a doggie plunge pool) and ice cube drops are staples. The dogs love it. While their staff is EXCEPTIONAL, they keep an eye on dog's safety and are on top of cleanliness, Bark Social still comes with the common pains of your standard dog park. A little more so, as some patrons leave a little too much responsibility with the staff to monitor dogs. No dog toys allowed. Overall, always have a blast here. Highly recommend a visit. Bonus: they have a lot of TVs, I plan to spend football season here as much as possible this year.
