We had a very positive temperament test this morning. It's an hour and you leave your dogs alone at the park. My dogs got to play a bit afterwards. The park rangers were extremely kind and helpful. We can't wait to go back and hangout. The website was unclear but the test is only needed for daycare or boarding....not the day pass. If I wasn't pregnant, I'd be having a FAT drink. My German Shepard loves the cold water tubs. They occasionally have towels to offer- so nice. I'd bring my own if driving. read more

Bark social is back! If you went before it closed, you can expect things to be pretty much the exact same as before. I get so bored at the dog park so bark social is a fun twist in the routine. Having a beer and watching all the pups play is the best. Love their beer selection, lots of local favorites on tap. Food is ok, not great, wraps and flatbread pizzas (a shareable size). Go the pizza path. They have a small section for little dogs, which is great, but usually quite dead. We usually opt for the main area, in the summer water basins (kind of like a doggie plunge pool) and ice cube drops are staples. The dogs love it. While their staff is EXCEPTIONAL, they keep an eye on dog's safety and are on top of cleanliness, Bark Social still comes with the common pains of your standard dog park. A little more so, as some patrons leave a little too much responsibility with the staff to monitor dogs. No dog toys allowed. Overall, always have a blast here. Highly recommend a visit. Bonus: they have a lot of TVs, I plan to spend football season here as much as possible this year. read more

So this place lives up to the hype. It's great ! They have a nice place for the adults to hand out, the dogs run wild and the tenants are there monitoring it all. I think my only issue is that ppl aren't monitoring their dogs. Like there were dogs actively humping and the owner didn't have a care in the world, no one intervened. Idk that's just annoying to me. I tried this place, looking for somewhere to take my two small dogs. This is a good place for large dogs, but really doesn't accomodate small ones. There is a small play area, but no attractions, minimal water, etc. Good for large dogs, not so good for small ones. read more

We stopped by this establishment in Feb right after valentines dinner at Gunther and Co. We heard doggies barking and figured we would wander over and look to see if there was a park nearby. Sure enough We signed up and got inside and there were 50 dogs having the times of their lives. We snagged a table and started trivia. This place had pour your own beer and like 20 taps to choose between. Bathrooms inside for humans. Food can be ordered at the front counter and had small things like fries, pizza, and pretzels. LOVE Bark Social!! I visited the Bethesda location before the Baltimore one opened and was so excited when I heard that Baltimore would be getting their own Bark Social. The concept alone is great; a place to hang out with your friends to grab a drink or a bite and a place for your dog to hang out with other dogs in a genuinely safe and controlled environment. I know dog parks generally can get a bad reputation but Bark Social is different. The bark rangers who work here to care for and look after your dog while there are always on top of watching how the dogs are interacting and are quick to step in if some dogs get rowdy. They also pick up after your pup and provide them with water and other enrichment activities. As a dog owner it's great to have a place I can relax and where my dog can run around and play. On top of all of that- the food and drinks here are great. I often get the frosé when I visit because it is delicious! Well, the day came and our faithful dog was antsier than ever. So we took him out to Canton and discovered what looked to be an amazing wonderland of canines and brew. First off, they lay out the ground rules, no outside treats, all dogs are unleashed, and keep an eye on your dog. Our dog was all over the place, so naturally, we were the neurotic parents who were the exact people that we hoped not to be. So we relaxed, got a couple of lattes, and watched as our dog ran and checked out the place. There is staff everywhere who will wash rogue poo and pee stains with water and vinegar and will get to know your pups. They do have extra poo bags in case your dog does the deed. The place has a chill vibe and we already have plans to take our nutcase to expel his energy while we nosh on snacks and drink some brews. This is our new favorite spot! I was worried about taking my brachycephalic dogs on a summer day, but there was plenty of shade and a separate air conditioned room. Somehow the area by the bar is ultra cool too. The bark rangers are there to clean up after the dogs if the owners don't make it in time, and constantly refilling water bowls and the cooling tubs. I love that despite it being in Canton, I don't have to search for parallel parking because there is large parking lot. Humans are free and dogs are reasonably priced. The only thing that worried me was there wasn't any checking of dog owners to dogs when people were leaving. I guess I imagined it being a little more like Chuck E. Barry gives Bark Social 5 stars! My dog loves coming here and has the best time with other dogs. The Bark Rangers are the most impressive part- they are watching the dogs at all times making sure no one is playing too rough, refilling water bowls, picking up poop. The Bark Rangers also take the time to learn a lot of the regular dogs names. Their beer wall is great that you can just serve yourself and not have to wait. A lot of people work on their laptops here and they do have Wi-Fi and outlets. Kudos to those people credit because there are a lot of distractions and noise! read more

Was disappointed in the initial response, but the overall response, once the right people got involved was great Regional management was very gracious and gave us incentive to try again. Pros: -Lots of dogs -Fun atmosphere -The people working there are kind and awesome at making sure the dogs are getting along -Water bucket for dogs to play in when it's hot (caution if you don't want your dog jumping in a water tub) -Chose your own beer and how much you pour (you only pay for what you pour so try a bit of everything!) Cons: -Food isn't great and is pricey for what you get -To close your beer tab you have to drop your card in a clear tip bucket which is very public and uncomfortable if you are with a big group with different ideas about what's appropriate for tipping. Lots of awkward side eye as people judge each other (friends or strangers). *This is also a pro because you don't have to do anything to close out a tab like wait in line. When you're ready to leave you just leave.* If you don't like dogs or strangers dogs on you don't go here. But if you are a dog fan (which I assume you are if you are reading this), it's a fun time! Oh and be aware that the first time you come you have to have vet records (and something else I can't remember). Make sure to research ahead of time. read more

My dog loves coming here! We were doing the monthly membership as we were worried we wouldn't come in the winter. But thankfully it's enlosed partially with tent like sides and overhead heaters. The "park rangers" do a great job of monitoring dogs and preventing as many tussles as they can. Unfortunately it can be overwhelming for some dogs and others at times aren't the best players, but the rangers do a good job of breaking it up and putting some pups in "jail" for a moment to calm down. The food is fine and the drinks are pricey but for the ambiance of watching dogs play, free WiFi so you can catch up on some work, and getting your pup's energy's out it's worth a $9 beer. read more

The beer is pay-as-you-go tap beer, and there's dozens of big dogs roaming around freely. Sometimes, you'd see some dogs get into fights, other times, a dog will try to snag your fries. They pretended to be friendly and offered my dog an ice cream since it was his birthday, even opening it and seeing if he would eat it (which he refused and would not). One of the guys then shoved a credit card machine in my face and said $6...This is not the way to "make a sale" and is truly poor business practice. I ended up walking away and giving away the ice cream to a random Dog who would actually eat it. These people are fake dog people! This place is truly excellent. I don't even own a dog but I can tell the amount of care that these employees have for their customers--animal or human. They constantly fill water bowls and are checking in on any potential pup v pup arguments. Does your dog often get humped at the dog park? Won't happen here! All the dog owners are so kind. Lord. This place. What a mess. I'm a veterinary technician. I felt strongly that a business decision like Bark Social was going to go up in flames in the not-too-distant future, but figured, hey, why not take advantage of the socialization opportunities while they're still available? So I signed two of my dogs up for a month. Now, this story is not about my dogs. It's about a visit I made to BS (hah) on Wednesday 11/9. While observing dogs in the main astroturf play area, a woman started screaming. She had gone to correct her dog's humping behavior when, completely unprovoked, another dog launched itself at her and began attacking her. I quickly looked around for the other "trainers" on staff, and they were actively backing away from the incident. Instead, I ran toward it and distracted the dog away from the woman until a manager (a short blonde woman in her 30s/40s) finally stepped in and ushered the dog away. Except, it was then released back into the general population. No reprimand, no owner identified. It wasn't until I strode up to one of the "trainers" (I would have been shocked if someone told me she was 21 years old) and they finally pulled the dog off the field. The woman who had been attacked was understandably freaked. Shortly thereafter, we were asked to give written reports. We were told that we would receive phone calls the next day with "the determination" -- as to whether that dog would be allowed back in the park. That was it. We weren't looking for money, or to ruin reputations -- we were simply looking for that assurance. Which apparently, wasn't guaranteed. Here's the thing, folks -- we never received a follow up call. A full week later, on Wednesday 11/16, I followed up the situation. I was told that "Bark Social Corporate" would be in touch shortly; okay, great. Then, nothing. Friday 11/18 I follow up again -- this time, I'm put on an extended hold and once again promised that BSC would be in touch. Nothing. It is now Monday 11/21. I cannot warn you all enough -- DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT bring yourselves or your animals to this business. You're putting yourselves and your pets at risk. Take it from someone in the veterinary industry; It's just not worth it. read more

We've been coming here consecutively or a while now (around 2 months) usually on weekends and everything was fine. The bark rangers were really polite and handled situations well when escalated. There happened to be a day where we visited barks on a weekday(monday) and our pup was play fighting which on seeing, approached an aged man wearing spectacles with anger issues who works there as a bark ranger. He was very rude to our dog and us, saying "He has to go home" in a harsh voice which made me feel insecure about my pup. I do agree that play fights do happen but the attitude of the bark ranger towards us is a big NO. Would have accepted if he addressed the issue little politely. read more

Visited for the first time today and will definitely be returning! Great environment for dogs and people. I actually hate traditional dog parks but felt very comfortable here with my dog. The bark rangers were very attentive to the dogs and were quick to address any situations that occurred. It definitely feels more controlled than a regular dog park with just owners " watching" their dogs. Great beer selection but it is self pour which can be frustrating at times. Only had fries, so can't really comment on the food. Make sure to bring an empty reusable water bottle to refill inside as they are very strict about bringing anything in. Check in was a breeze as I had pre-registered online. Will come back as day pass users as we live 20 minutes away and a monthly or yearly pass just doesn't make sense for us. read more
