I have written many reviews in…read morepraise of not only his extraordinary talent as a practitioner, but his obsession with staying in lockstep with the latest innovations in dentistry, his professional but welcoming staff, his comfortable, relaxing office. And his consistent devotion to the welfare of his patients above all else that has not changed since day one. But I never appreciated him more than when I recently underwent an emergency root canal procedure with him.. It seems Dr. Alex has a whole separate gear to handle these situations. It began with a slight nagging toothache, very minor, but concerning because I am fortunate enough to never get toothaches. On a whim, I called the office (closed-it was 6 p.m. on a Sunday), debated, then chose the option for the emergency line and left a message. Within 10 minutes, I received a call back from Dr. Alex, who was on vacation at the time. As always, he showed deep concern, and asked questions to which I replied that I felt I was not in crisis. (I am prone to self-diagnosis which, honestly, rarely works out). "Just too much aggressive flossing". He offered to send an RX for antibiotics and pain killers just as a precautionary measure. I declined-so very sure I would not need them. Ha! He suggested alternating OC Anti-inflammatory and painkillers to help with the pain. Monday being a holiday, he told me to come into the office on Tuesday AM at opening and he would take me right away. Fast forward to 1 a.m. on Tuesday and awakening with a throbbing, excruciating pain the likes of which I have never experienced before. Yes, an abscess on my gum the size of Texas and, as we discovered later, an infected tooth. Dr Alex was in the office waiting for me and saw the problem immediately. He and his staff sprung into action and in the next hour and a half, performed the first of two non-invasive stages of a root canal procedure in a completely painless manner. And with the aid of state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment with amazing precision. But most of all, with caring and respect. Pain gone. Two weeks later, I returned for the final phase and am now in recovery. Still no pain! How do you thank someone enough for setting the gold standard for patient care? Try and tell the world.

Which I thought was odd, but my husband talked to him and that's what Dr. Bennett told him! Me and my kids went in for cleanings, because we thought we were covered and now we are stuck with a huge bill because the Dentist lied to us about taking our insurance. Unbelievable lied straight to my husband's face. If you have Delta dental, I don't recommend you go there. We are very upset about being lied to and deceived only to have one more cleaning done X3, and get stuck with a bell we thought we WERE TOLD would be covered!!!! Livid!

4/10/26: Horrible experience! Went in for 3 extraction and a partial implant. I had already…read moreexplained prior to this visit I have great anxiety when it comes to dental work. Had 3 extractions done just to find out the partial had an extra tooth in the back so it was very uncomfortable. Like why would you add an extra tooth to the partial on one side but not the other if it wasn't supposed to be there in the first place. After several attempts of Dr. Gregory Den trying to adjust the partial he still failed to make it comfortable. Then once I left the office and tried to send my niece back inside because I was so upset that I spent a lot of money to have this procedure done and I was not satisfied. I wanted to ensure my prescriptions had been ordered for pain/antibiotic and I believed I may have dropped my sunglasses while inside. They immediately locked the door behind me and refused to take my calls after multiple attempts. Not only that, he admitted they over charged me for the procedure. I will be filing a complaint with the Illinois State Dental Society and Division of Professional Regulation and possibly a lawsuit. You don't treat customers this way. His dental assistant working with him had a very nasty attitude as well. Even my niece noticed the same thing. She started putting numbing gel on my back teeth initially and I told her I was having my front teeth extracted. She goes oh, and then looked at my chart and started using the topical gel on the appropriate teeth. Didn't apologize or anything. The allowed blood to get on my brand new sweatshirt and only provided me with 1 gauze to leave with. my niece asked if we could have another one for the ride home. The dentist instructed her to give my niece 2 more instead. She shook her head and gave my niece only 1 and left the room.

Because I always believe that early intervention, and being proactive is better to prevent a bigger issue and complications. So I told them I did not want to wait and I would pay out of pocket and not to charge insurance. We'll had the appointment the agreed to do both top teeth at the same visit. They scheduled the appointment and told me they would make the crown there so I would not have to wait. So I went in for a long day. The right upper was fine. The left upper, they just kept filing and filing and just could not seam to get it right. When it was in I was numb so After I had the numbness wear off. The tooth did not feel right. I had informed t b I'm on several occasions it was too big for me and was uncomfortable. They kept trying to adjust it by filing it down. I asked them to replace it. They keep ignoring my request and tell me that the tooth was always sticking out. I KNOW HOW MY TEETH ARE that was a lie. To this day they refuse to fix the problem. Also they charged me insurance after paying for the complete bill when the appointment was set up. They owe me $300.00 and have yet to pay me. They are not patient centered. My husband also had a temporary crown placed and the minute he walked in from that appointment it fell out. The same Dr Cathy that Put in my crown crooked because it was too big for the space. ​

The work they do is from my experience safe and you feel so when they are operating on you. Usually when I go to other dentists I leave with pain but here I did not. She soon told me that she had never done this before but my shaking was so bad, I'm about to make her vomit in her mouth and she had to put ne out of her sight because she couldn't take me anymore, she spoke do loud that everyone could hear. When Dr Spenser Jr seen me I felt he was trying to get me out as soon as possible. I'm on handicap transportation, when he finished he opened the door for me to leave. I had to wait outside for a while for my transportation to come. I do have a nervous condition where I do shake but she could have been a little polite. I heard her telling them that she just can't take it no more, I just didn't know it was me. Dr Spenser just listened but he never told her to be nicer.
