Went to try this place out since it was covered by my insurance. The dentist told me I had 7 cavities, needed my wisdom teeth all pulled out as soon as possible, and was very pushy about making my appointment with him even though he wasn't a surgeon. There was no dental hygienist and it took an hour for me to see the dentist since he was running behind. I went back to my other dentist and I didn't have the 7 cavities he told me and said I only needed the one wisdom tooth taken out. Never going back. read more

This is actually my first time ever having to leave a review... I came into Frankfort smile design and was told I had a cavity and my wisdom teeth removed. I had the cavity filled and was told they would send my X-rays over to UIC as a referral for wisdom teeth. A referral was never sent and in this time my back wisdom tooth cracked in half. I have been calling, leaving voicemails and emailing for over a week and have not heard back. As a last effort I drove to Frankfort Smile design on a Tuesday during their business hours and they were closed. I have yet to hear back but I do not recommend and will not be returning. I love Dr Schumacher she's the best'!!! Her staff is so friendly and even for people like myself who are terrified of dentists this place is so highly recommended by me! Just don't. I had the worst dental experience of my life. And, I'm 42. The practice was sold to these people in December. Because I was already there and the sale just happened, I decided to just go with it. My children saw Dr. Jain- she was lovely, and it was a great experience. I decided I'd give the practice a chance rather than go back to the dentist who sold the practice (in a town about 25 minutes away) out of convenience. Leading up to MY appointment in June, I had a bad feeling because it was very chaotic in confirming my appointment via text. Text. Not a cal. Not a card. I don't think I minded this because so many people text these days, but they didn't do it well. First, my appointment was confirmed, followed up by a phone call about a week later that they didn't have office hours on that day. When I got to my appointment, I was taken promptly upon arrival, which is awesome. BUT, I should've turned around. The office felt cold- and I am not talking about temperature. My hygenist smelled of cigarette smoke. It was unpleasant, and I wanted to barf from the stench. I don't care that she had tattoos everywhere and body piercings, but please, this is a business environment. Makes me wonder if she followed proper hygiene protocols prior to my exam. I shudder thinking about this now. I can tell she was trying to be funny, but I found her personality very harsh and unprofessional. The dentist, Dr. Kim, was awkward. He is nice enough, but there is zero personality. I swear he did an exam for about 20 seconds, and he proceeded to clean my teeth. NOT A HYGIENIST. He cleaned my teeth. Didn't give me goggles for my eyes or anything. I shut them as to not get the backsplash of my cleaning into my eyes. Isn't that standard to give goggles? He told me I had a little build up in the front, but it was otherwise good. He whizzed through the cleaning, but I felt like he really didn't know what he was doing. My teeth actually hurt today from the cleaning. Why is my mouth sore from a cleaning? That is not right. I was in and out in about 15 minutes and that is an "exam", cleaning, and polish. I decided to move my family back to the dentist 25 minutes away and not put them through the experience that I had yesterday. When I called to tell them, the woman on the other end of the phone I was leaving the practice, she was snippy even before I told her I was dropping our appointments. When I asked if I could give her feedback so they can improve their service moving forward, I don't think she cared. I tried to be pleasant about it, but I am sure it didn't matter. read more

Dr Schumacher and her staff are the best, always ensuring you are as comfortable as possible...from cushy seats, flat screens all up in your face, and enough topical to make you want to be a shrimp boat captain like dear ole Bubba Gump. Besides all that, the inside of this office is not your usual expectations of what a dentist office should be. It's very chic and modern with high tech equipment. I have been a patient here since they have opened! My husband and son too. Any parent knows having a child in for any procedure is stressful. The staff and Doctors did everything possible to make sure I was at ease! As far as my son, he feels like a king here, watching some TV, chatting with all the girls, getting a gift out of the bin...it's wonderful. As far as the service, always with a SMILE! I have Blue Cross Community Insurance .. when I called to make my appointment a month ago, I asked them if they do dentures - yes we do.. ok, do you pull all the teeth there? Yes we do.. great! I've been trying to get in this place and get my teeth done for months and they finally got me in and wasted my time! The dentist doesn't care about the patient! She only cares about the $$$ ! I told them I'm just getting what my insurance covers. She had them do all the x-rays and tested my bones in my teeth and my teeth.. I definitely need dentures which is what I told her.. ok, so she was going to do the top and only do an implant on the bottom.. my insurance doesn't cover implants as I told her . So, since I can't afford to pay for the bottom implant out of pocket she decided she couldn't help me! Told me to get my teeth pulled elsewhere and she will do the upper dentures.. but, when she thought I was going to pay for the implant on the bottom, she was all in on doing everything... so now I'm going to call my insurance and tell them what she pulled and to not pay her bill! Anyone in the medical field should worry about the patient 1st & foremost! I chipped my front crown yesterday and same with that - I asked her if she could build it up for now so it doesn't get worse.. "of course we can do that!" Until she realized I wasn't going to pay for Amy dental work and was only using my insurance.. then she said "oh, theres nothing I can do for that either" MONEY HUNGRY BITCH! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU FIND ANOTHER DENTIST ELSEWHERE! If you have good insurance, go to Aspen Dental in Orland off LaGrange.. if you have insurance like I do, go to 1st Choice Dental in Burbank.. totally worth the drive.. they're so sweet there and they put YOU 1st! Used to be a great place but has severely changed. Hygienist was terrible cleaning my teeth. I told her the power tool she was using felt like it was burning and shot pains through me. I guess me jumping wasn't a clue to her! She said " maybe the tool was going bad". I asked her to use something different. She said she was done. Next she gave me the "sandblasting" cleaning which I've had find before. She doesn't know how to use it, or just had a bad aim. She blasted the heck out of my cheeks, tongue and other places with more pain. (I'd love a chance to use it on her and have her see what it feels like! No I'm sorry of any other comments from her! Next she tells me the Dr. Would be right in. After 25 minutes of waiting with no other communications, I walked out. If I would have received a phone call or something from them explaining what happened or apologizing I would have considered giving them another chance. I guess they figure treating clients like this and having them walk out is normal. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will not have anyone else in my family return. read more

Dr. Ajam and the people at the front desk are terrible with communication. They are liars. They made me lie about my appointment. They sent me back home after I had an appointment and they say I'm not on the computer. I don't recommend anybody to see this doctor. My appointments have always been on time, and they were able to see me right away when I had a small emergency.
