Vintage sewing machine at the window, alternative and eclectic music throughout the day, mosaic tiles, dark wood furniture... Buyers, designers, photographers, models, artists....Garmentos that needed a break or a casual conversation or bites during their day, come here, relax, reflect, recharge, regain a sense of belonging... Or perhaps, just breathe the stress away so that they can go back to their crazy sassy world. New to my bar all stars list is Pattern Bar. Love the vibe, the food and Larry & Katie always take good care of me. I haven't tried any of their signature cocktails yet, but Larry makes a killer margarita. As for the food, you have to try the cubano sandwich. Hands down the best cubano ever. I've also had the ceviche and tacos... both really good as well. I also had a bite of the Mac and cheese which was solid. Since we can't give 1/2 stars, I'm rounding up to 5 stars, but what would make Pattern Bar perfect would be two things: 1.) It's extremely hot inside the bar. I've been told the AC has been broken for over a year. I can't even imagine how hot it would be in the summer. 2.) Move or preferably mount the tv somewhere else. Currently, the tv is bar level and at the end of the bar. Every time I'm there some clueless person parks themselves and their big head right in front of the tv. Pattern Bar is located in the Fashion District right across the street Wooden Spoon. We came out to check out this new bar. A bit on the foo foo side for me but wanted to check it out anyways. It doesn't hurt to try something once. We tried their cocktails, The Valentino and The Gaultier. Fairly good drinks at a decent price at $10 compared to DTLA bars $12-$14. Typically, I wouldn't order these fruity type drinks since I'm more of a whiskey/bourbon drinker. It was a warm night and we were looking for something refreshing and willing to try their signature drinks. In fact, it was so warm, I wish they turned on the air conditioning at this bar. The Valentino is vodka based with a mango, orange, lychee puree. Not bad, a bit on the sweet end. The Gaultier is a rum based cocktail with fresh watermelon, and agave nectar. Really good drink and most def fresh watermelon as you get pieces of watermelon and and seeds in your drink. The vibe was decent here as the night progressed. Bartenders weren't to talkative, attentive, or friendly though. You figure they should be for a new bar in town. Attitude makes a big difference for new customers. It's a bit dark in the area so just be careful walking the streets down in this part of DTLA. It's located on 9th street which is a few blocks south most restaurants bars in downtown and just east of the LA Live but down some darker, less travelled streets. read more

I have to start this review with a GIGANTIC apology - I am truly sorry, for being so rude to the owner. Being a Venezuelan myself I hate when we act like jerks, and I feel I acted like one this morning. I have to show my support to a fellow venezuelan, but a 2 star (for now) is all I can give him. I hope to be able to come back again and revise my first impression of this Bar/Restaurant. Let me start with the good, LOCATION - I think Main St. IS the place to be if you're going to start a business in DTLA, corner spot, not so easy to miss, but my first (-) was that I could not see a sign or a name, nothing, I had to call my friend and ask her for directions. I also liked seeing the owner there, he looked "excited" talking to everyone, taking pictures of his new bar. That was a big plus for me, seeing how he seemed so approachable and friendly (at this point I did not know he is venezuelan). Decor: I love it, the vintage stools were a bit uncomfortable, but I did like the whole vintage pieces he has around the bar. Still it has the open space vibe of a bar, more than a place you can -as well- have a bite to eat. Music: A little loud, for being a Sunday morning - some "venezuelan" breakfast while I'm listening to good "salsa": AWESOME, LOUD salsa: not so good. I tried calling the waitress attention a couple of times and she did not hear me. Maybe tone it down a little during the day. Cocktails: I really enjoyed the fact that I was able to have a "passion fruit" mimosa, it was very tasty too. Food: I want to be objective about this. The owner, being a venezuelan himself should know that when a fellow venezuelan finds a new place where they can have a cachapa or an arepa, they will be there in a heartbeat and he will gain a client for life. Sadly, it didn't turn out this way, at least for now. You have 3 options in the morning menu: Cuban sandwich, arepa or cachapa. Arepa: very bland and small (tostiarepa?) - try making them a little bit bigger, or maybe adding two instead of one. Here's why: With the amount of pork and beef / black beans and cheese you get in the plate - one arepa will not be enough for you to really eat this as an "arepa dish". If you want to keep it as it is, maybe specify the arepa is part of the pork and beef dish, but not the other way around. Cachapa: (again, I'm sorry) Corn is very sweet as it is, so adding honey and strawberries, maybe not such a good idea. Plus, again, this cheese was very bland. Sometimes you have to sacrifice something that is called "queso de mano" for some mexican cheese that will do the trick. Conclusion: I would stick to my roots and offer my fellow venezuelans what they came here for, not an interpretation of what "might" be a fancier way of presenting our traditional foods. I don't want to give up on this place. I'm hoping I can bring my american husband and friends one day and say "This is Venezuelan food" and feel proud of it. Good luck! read more

Cuuuute bar with adorably named cocktails in the middle of the fashion district. I'd ideally give it 3.5 stars. The bar is fashion-themed, with the "pattern" in their name referencing sewing patterns. They have vintage sewing machines around the place, and the decor is nice - it fits in very well with the fact that it's located in the fashion district w/o being kitschy. However, they could use a lot more seats, as there aren't that many given the size of the place. Also, they didn't have a/c running, as they opted to keep their giant windows open instead and keep their ceiling fans going. I didn't really mind but my friend didn't like it, as it was a rather humid night. Went here on a Thursday night and it never got too packed. I actually didn't try their cocktails and just had a few glasses of rose during the night. Also tried several of their food items, which were all delicious. We enjoyed the poulet poulet, serranos y cabrales, cachapa and the hummus. I highly recommend the cachapa - it's unusual but so good. The sweet corn tortilla tastes like someone mashed up frosted flakes into a tortilla, and it compliments the cheese and honey really well. Everything else was good too. read more

I had ordered a round of Mexican candy shots (which taste like pure tobasco and ketchup). One of the bartenders was watching like a hawk on how the shots we being made by another bartender. After the shots were made the eye watching bartender did a taste test out of one of my shots that directly being served to me. That is BEYOND unprofessional. If he really wanted to do a taste test he should have pour himself a SEPARATE cup for HIMSELF and taste it discreetly or be confident that it was being made well. That was uncalled for and it also didn't help that he was rude from the start. Last Tuesday evening, a lifetime ago, we came to the Pattern Bar for a drink. The place had high ceilings and chic decor. Dark, with some old sewing machines and swatch pattern on the walls. My sangria glass was cracked. I sent it back and the waiter acted suspicious of me. Sangria was not that great. $6 My friends got rounds of cocktails, $10 each. The consensus is that the McQueen was the best. The size of the drinks were pitiful. About maybe 3-4 spoonfuls per tiny glass. And many of the drinks tasted awful, like the Chinese medicine my mother used to make me swallow when I got sick. Our waiter was slim and cute. We made bets on whether he was gay or not. I won, and he wasn't. We invited him to sit with us and he said he couldn't, had to work, but then would come back often to chat. A bit awkward. He was good about bringing water, remembering that I didn't want ice. He offered to take back the drinks that didn't taste good. He gave change back when I tried to tip him. An honest, hardworking young man, and who doesn't like that? I left my table to mingle with some other people and found a whole table of dapper looking men. I joined them. Turns out they work for Prada and frequent the bar often, one of them having a very long and amiable conversation with the friendly and proud owner. The place was on a the corner of a street with glass windows all around and large booths against the windows. A cool setup and not a bad place to grab a drink on a weeknight. read more

We came in around 9:15 as the restaurant said it closed at 10, but the bartender told us everything was closing in 5 minutes... uh okay. So we had to order on the spot. Their drinks are named after designers which I thought was very cute and appropriate to the name of the bar. Started out with the McQueen and the Chanel drink, and both were really good. I loved the Chanel drink as it had a hint of jalapeno and was slightly sour but was so so good. As for food, we ordered the Cuban sliders, the P&B, the Les Oeufs, and the Ceviche. The Cuban Sliders which came with braised pork, ham, caramelized onions, swiss cheese, banana peppers, cilantro, and home made aioli was delicious. The sandwich was pressed, and the combination of everything was yummy! The P&B was my favorite dish. Basically a prosciutto board with burrata and grapes with toast. The combination of the salty prosciutto and the creamy burrata basically cancelled out the saltiness and made the dish very light and with the grapes, it was the best combination ever. I recommend getting this dish as a starter. The Les Oeufs was basically eggs on top of prosciutto with bread. Presentation was very nice, and it was also a good dish. So much prosciutto, but loving all of it. Last but not least ,we got the ceviche. The fish of the day was shrimp, and although this dish was my least favorite, it was still good. The shrimp came in larger pieces, and there were two pieces of avocado on top. Not too sour, but overall a nice, light entree. Really enjoyed the food and drinks here, but it felt really rushed as they were closing. Wish I had more time to try some of the other drinks and food that they offered. Empty at 8pm on a Saturday night. Packed by 10pm! Upscale lounge atmosphere make Pattern Bar classy. The crowd is very diverse. Really interesting characters wearing artsy clothing that were inspiring to the eye. Large glass windows with a view to the street make the place appear larger than it is. White tiles give it an old yet modern feel. Menu items were fairly priced ($4-$12 for appetizers and $9-$20 for drinks). Dj played a wide selection of worldly music and one could never predict what was coming on next. Very eclectic and varied from Salsa to Bossa Nova to Dance, to House, to Hip Hop, to Alternative, you name it! it got played at some point in your evening. My first drink was good, though a bit weak on the alcohol (which i prefer since i am new to drinking and the epitome of a lightweight), my second drink was a glass of Malbec Wine and it was very fruity and delicious (and it got me tipsy right away)! We shared an appetizer of charcuterie items including: jamon serrano, salami, selection of cheeses and breads. The portion was small but enough to nibble on for four people. Jamon (ham) was delicious as was the nutty bread slices (which were gone in an instant). The ambiance was fun and though really artsy it was totally unpretentious and open, mellow yet lively with people dancing and cohorting with one another. Night Life is nice. Not a lot people during the weekday. I don't know how it is during the weekends. Parking is a little confusing. Street Parking mainly and you can park anywhere else. I didn't have cash with me at the time so unfortunately parked across the street $10 dollar Parking without a sign and had to use the ATM machine that charged me extra $3 bucks plus your bank charges you too LOL. I love the vintage feel of this place sending you back a century or so. I really wish the prices were those of a century ago as well! We actually ended up here twice in one night... once before and then once after dinner. Before dinner the mood was a little more jazzy and prohibition-era-ish but later the loungy music came on and it changed it up a bit. As for drinks, I think it's hit-or-miss depending on what you order. If you know what you're getting then the drinks are pretty good but overpriced for the size. If you're guessing at the menu then you could end up with some expensive no-so-good drinks. I did order the D Von Fursternburg which was good but a tad sweet for my liking. I love Barenjager and ended up just mixing it with Jameson the next time around (highly recommended!). My wife had the Chanel, which was made super spicy for her and, although way different than mine, it was fantastic! We did manage to sneak in an order of Les Oeufs before dinner and absolutely loved them! It just sounded it and the taste didn't disappoint either. Loved them! When I worked in the Fashion District, I would frequent this spot a lot. It had fantastic, crafted cocktails and deliciously thought out small plates. However, I visited on Thurs evening for a quick drink and it has gone down hill! When ordering their drink w/ tequila, muddled pineapple w/ some other ish - what I got was a mixed drink! Straight up well tequila and pineapple juice from a can. I politely sent it back and told the bartender it wasn't what I expected and he said they "juice" in advance...ummm, juicing and muddling fruit is big difference! He recommended the Chanel drink when I requested a CRAFTED cocktail, and again tasted like well liquor with a few cut up jalapeños and cilantro. Located in Downtown fashion district across from the Wooden Spoon, one thing I love about this place is that it's rather "open" which prevents any claustrophobia you might be experiencing at the bars on a happening night. One thing that stood out the most from the Pattern Bar? Definitely the designer-named cocktails!!! Chanel, Valentino, Gautier, McQueen, Dior...etc, have fun picking your favorite designers, girls!!! I wish I could give this place 5 Stars but the bartender was just awful. His lack of personality and I don't wanna be here attitude was so bazaar. Ok so now for the good stuff. The food is really quality. We got there just in time for happy hour. 5-7 20%off the the whole menu. Really reasonable prices we loved the beet and Burratta salad cheese tamale and hummus plate. Really nice portions for tapa style. The drinks are all named after couture designers which is really cute being in the garment district. I will be back and I really hope the guy who served us has a better attitude. This is a spacious venue, but there were not enough seats (most of it is just empty spaces). The look is nice, and the single bathrooms are huge and clean (yes, nice bathrooms count!). This is a tapas type of bar. I had the bruschetta which had loads of tomatoes on top, and the cachapa, which really just tasted (and looked) like a cheese tortilla ('eh). We came here on a random Friday or Saturday night after being turned away from the Parlor (they're about half a block apart). Although it seemed like all the booths were taken my friend talked to one of the waiters and a group of two were quickly whisked away from one of the larger booths to allow our group of eight to sit. Not sure if that's a plus or a minus. I guess plus for us, minus for them, but I could see myself being miffed if I was in their shoes. Anyway, we got a bunch of small plates, which varied from ok to pretty good, and some drinks. The place was otherwise pretty crowded and seemed like fun, but felt more like a place to start out the night rather than stay the entire time. There was a line out the door by the time we left (after 11). I saw a couple other yelpers ask about this but without knowing anything our group all decided that this was a gay bar. I was hired to do a mural at Pattern Bar and working with the staff and manager was great. The place is cozy and very pleasant to be in. While on a break I was able to have lunch there because I didn't want to leave my equipment unattended, and I'm very glad I made that choice. I chose the Taco plate and it was excellent. Cool place to come and hang out and have a good lunch and some drinks. I'll definitely come to Pattern Bar whenever I'm in the Downtown LA area. read more

I give Pattern Bar 2 stars, but I'd like to clarify that I don't necessarily 'dislike' this establishment. It just has a lot of room for improvement, and it's brand new, so it can still fix the kinks. What bothered me most was the manager giving me a hard time about my ID. I'm over 21, but as soon as I walked in the manager approached me at the door and asked "Are you 21?" as if he were expecting me to say no. I wouldn't have come into a bar if I weren't 21, so I felt as if my intelligence was being insulted. He scanned my ID three different times before seating me and my friend (and he was visibly reluctant to seat us, I think he had his heart on me being an 'under-ager'). The manager then continued to watch me from the bar, it was weird. The second thing that bothered me was the tiny menu. This place looks like a dinner spot, so I think a ton of people probably come in expecting to get a bite to eat only to find that tapas are the food options being offered. The tapas were pretty and decent-tasting, but SO pricey for such a small portion. The cocktails were also pretty, but quite pricey and very weak. I ordered two drinks and didn't feel the slightest bit of a buzz. The open-air atmosphere was lovely and the lighting was great, the decor is definitely Pattern Bar's best feature. So, overall I'd say that Pattern Bar needs to create a dinner menu, make stronger cocktails, and to stop making young-looking patrons feel uncomfortable. read more

This bar was worth checking out at least once. Beautiful space, and fun theme (down to the sewing machine candle holders) that fits in so well with its surroundings. The servers were attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, they stopped serving food after 10, but we got to try several of the drinks. The McQueen was everyone's favorite at my table, but I found it to be too sweet, no discernible liquor, and served in a teeny tiny cocktail glass. At $13 - $14 a pop, the drinks were pretty underwhelming. Even the wines and beers hovered around the $10 range, and without a great selection. If we can be real here, a few of us went to my car for a quick car party in the tC Lounge, because $13 juices weren't making us happy enough. Maybe it's just too trendy/hipster for me, but I expected more by the drink prices. I'm happy to buy a $14 drink at a place like Perch, because of the stunning ambiance and the quality and alcohol content of the drinks. These ones weren't as impressive, and the bar was pretty forgettable, which is a shame with the originality of the decor. Still, worth trying out! read more

This review is only for the NIGHTLIFE portion of this bar. I have not been here for lunch or dinner. If you're a house head and love real house this is the spot. They have some nights when they play techno and other types of house but generally speaking deep house is the vibe they go for. The venue has a liking to a New York bar or even a low key Chicago spot. Depending on the night, there might only be a few people and on special nights they do get really crowded and have people waiting outside. But for the most part you're able to just walk in. There is no cover and the drinks are very generous. Great spot for some dancing and drinks if you're not into the whole large dance arenas like Exchange or Avalon (this is in no way bashing those two spots because I dig them both as well). We came here before a concert at the Orpheum Theatre for drinks and light food. As soon as we sat at the bar, we simultaneously made two observations. The first was the overwhelming smell of old deep fryer oil, the second was how unbelievably loud it was in there with the DJ at like 6:30 pm on a Friday. I get this is a popular nightime spot, but for it to be that loud, that early...stuck us as less than ideal. Ordered some tacos, told the bartender the two flavors of tacos we wanted (potato and something and shrimp and something), then said 3 of each. The guy looked at me and said "are you sure?. We have 4 flavors of tacos". Me and my girlfriend looked at each other a little confused. Was he implying that might not be enough? Me and my girlfriend looked at each other and I said to her "maybe they are really small tacos?". To which the bartender responded "no, they are regular sized". We looked at each other again and said that 3 of each should be fine. The tacos come and it's apparent they are giving us 3 of each of the 4 types of tacos. I tell the bartender that we only ordered 3 each of two varieties, that 6 of these we didn't order. He says something like " so you don't want these others?" I said we didn't order them, he says he was "clear" about what I was ordering and adopted a full on douche bag "I couldn't possibly be wrong here" tone. If you were clear, why are we having this conversation?. He angerly threw the other 6 tacos in the trash, again reiterating just how clear he thought he had been. If you are going to have the music so loud that no one can hear anything, don't get pissy with the customer when you dont hear their order, leading to a mistake on your part. Tacos were actually pretty good, but not nearly worth dealing with this place again. It was honestly and epic level of douche-baggery from this bartender. Was also a bit disappointed he threw the extra tacos out to make his hissy-fit point. Given the location of this place, they could have walked out the door, take 20 steps, and found a homeless person that could have eaten them. read more

Had a very disturbing experience at the PATTERN BAR in DTLA last night. There were two Latino bartenders there. We shared smiliar height, weight, and skin tone. I gave them my credit card to open a tab. When I ordered a second drink I was told that I never gave them my card. I told the bartenders to look around carefully. One of them appeared to be high, like really high on acid or some other hard drug. The other bartender was aggressive, rude and accusatory. " You never gave us a card. You lie. " I could not believe it. Than he asked for my ID. I surmised that he wanted to see my name to match with my credit card. I knew not to give him my CDL, so I gave him my passport. He took a look at it and rudely threw it on the bar in front of me. Suddenly he pulls out a stack of credit card and debit cards and spreads them across the bar. The number of cards on display exceeded the number of patrons in attendance. Additionally many of the cards were expired. " None of these are yours. You should leave. " It was at this point when I realized that this was some sort of rehearsed routine. I then checked my bank statement. There were two charges on my card for drinks. " If I never gave you my card, then why have I been charged for two drinks. " I asked the bartender. Suddenly the bouncer comes up to me. A big guy, about three times my size. Omar was actually a good guy. I showed him the charges on my bank statement. He told me that he would contact the owner the following business day and sort out the situation. He really did what he could to resolve the situation. I have not yet heard from Pattern Bar. I have called repeatedly. No answer. And their voice mail is full. The bartenders who were determined to believe that I never gave them my card, never apologized. The smirks on their faces angered me. I have never been treated this way and frankly I 'm disgusted. As I left I deactivated my credit card and will continue to call the PATTERN BAR. I want my card back. Received a text an hour ago from my bank for " unusual accivity" relating to my card. Someone tried to use my card repeatedly early this morning. I am determined to find JUSTICE. The owner needs to sort this out. read more

Some friends of ours took us here on my B-Day and took a liking to the place right away. DJ's (2) were very impressive and definitely knew what they were doing to keep the crowd happy! Drinks were good too. Downtown has changed for the best! Will definitely be back. read more

We stumbled on this place on a Saturday evening thanks to a chalkboard sign they put a block away on Broadway (brilliant!). We are so glad that we did. We got a friendly greeting when we walked in the door and the place has a great atmosphere. They had some chill music playing and it was happy hour (score!). They have $5 beers and wine on the HH menu and we enjoyed a few Scrimshaw Pilsners. The hummus plate for $4 is a steal and the caprese (or as they spelled it - capresse) Panini was outstanding for $7. We are looking forward to making this a regular stop. read more

Great Vibes, Great music. Its a place to come hangout with friends, drink, listen to music and just let loose. There is a public parking right around the corner so it is definitely walking distance. I came on a Saturday night! I called at around 5:30 to make a reservation for 7:30 and they were able to do that for me which I really appreciated! I came a little bit early and therefore had to wait, but they gave me a table right at 7:30 on the dot. The ambiance at Pattern Bar is great. The music isn't too loud, it's dark, and their drinks are amazing. I had the chance to try their sangria and it's soooo good! I'm not sure if it was because I was starving that night but I LOVED the food. I ordered the ceviche, a chicken caesar salad, and a pesto flat bread for two people. I thought that for small eaters the amount of food we ordered was perfect. Honestly, the only way I can describe the ceviche at the moment I was eating it was that it was divine. I feel like I ate the entire dish by myself and I also loved the salad. The flatbread on the other hand was a little bit burnt on the back, but it was still really good. All in all, I had no complaints and the customer service here is amazing. They were really nice (brought water before we even asked, THANK YOU!) and kept checking back on us. Can't wait to come back :) ** The only down side is that it was really hard to find parking and all the lots were $15-$20. It might be better to just Uber if you live close by! read more

Finally made it out to the ol Pattern Bar last night. What drew me into coming here was the music - I was riding past here one night after going to the gym, and it was bumping. LIke club music bumping. I'm not the bar type at all. Or the type that goes to the bar with the background music. I don't drink much, but when I do go out, I like to pick somewhere where the music is upbeat, loud, and makes you want to get up and dance! Anyways - No cover charge! I thought there was going to be one for sure. My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night at about 10. There was people, it wasn't jammed packed, but wasn't empty either. This bar does have charm. I have never been to a bar like this one. The vintage sewing machines are a nice touch, and the candles on the counter make the bar seem more intimate. However, be prepared to spend a pretty penny. I ordered a McQueen: a cocktail of gin, elderflower, and passionfruit. The passion fruit part is a joke - considering the bartender peeled the tiniest piece of skin from the fruit, and 'squeezed' some juice into the drink. What a joke! The drink was $13. It was very smooth though. My boyfriend ordered a Weihenstephaner Heffeweissen. He claims it was the best beer he has ever had. I admit too, it was pretty tasty, not bitter at all, and I'm not a beer drinker. Will I be back? Depends. We stayed for around 45 minutes, the DJ was playing 80's music, and I wasn't feeling it exactly. If I were to go here again with a group, I probably would start here, and make my way around to the other spots, before settling here. read more

First off, did they change ownership? Because now their only reference back to their "pattern" theme is one sad vintage singer machine by the door. They no longer have the drinks named after designers or anything. Secondly, when we got there there was a sign outside advertising happy hour drinks that were different from the ones on their menu inside. I ordered a $5 mojito, and my boyfriend ordered the $5 Kentucky mule (both from their outside sign). They had no problem making my drink but randomly told my boyfriend his would be full price and they couldn't do it on happy hour, so he had to order something else. We went around 6:30pm on a Saturday. It was pretty dead, we got service right away and found a seat no problem. Our drinks were quick and pretty tasty. We tried to order their happy hour ceviche but they were out, so we got chips and guac. We were almost finished with our drinks and our chips still hadn't arrived. I went to the front and asked where they were, and all of a sudden they were ready. We had like two sips left, how long does guac take? Overall, they were out of a few things that we tried to order, they were super slow despite being relatively empty, and the theme was totally different even from what you read everywhere online. It was a disappointment and we don't really have any desire to come back. read more

This is definitely a laid back place to hang out and have drinks... I think I decided this after the first round of patron shots. I was able to relax, enjoy the loungey music, and engage in good conversation. This time around, I was able to try the signature cocktails. The Lagerfeld (skyy vodka, king's ginger, muddled cucumbers, lime juice, organic agave, dash of bitters, absenthe mist) was really great. I usually am hesitant to try new drinks but after talking to the bartender, he solidified my interest in the Lagerfeld. The Lagerfeld had a dry finish but was quite refreshing with its cucumber presence, a really interesting combination of flavors. My friend had the Marchesa which was more of a twist on a Mojito. If you tend to enjoy mojitos, then you'll love the Marchesa. Another good thing about Pattern Bar is the bartenders! They were all really kind, witty, and helpful. In my attempt to stay hydrated while drinking, they were always quick to refill my glass of water--I love that! I'll definitely be back here again. I was here on a Friday night around 9pm...it starts to get busier around 11pm. Come earlier to avoid the crowds. read more
