Out of all the businesses that the project was sent to for the termite treatment, this was the only one that had a good follow up. All other businesses were like "call this number" or "visit this website". Desert Shield replied, via Yelp, and offered to drop by the very next day and asked for my address. Eric showed up the next day at the agreed time. He confirmed my worries about the lines being termite tubes. He pointed out a few more that I did not see. Eric explained the treatment process, gave me a quote, and had me scheduled via text by the end of the day for him to return for the treatment. The quote for the service was far cheaper than what my buddies told me they paid for similar services. And yes, this treatment comes with a five year warranty. They had to drill through a couple pavers to do the treatment. Eric placed the drill holes in the grout lines to better hide the holes. While it is pretty impossible to completely hide the holes after they're filled, I think he did a heck of a job and gave a great effort. Time will tell about how good the quality is of Desert Shield's product and process. However, I feel pretty confident I trusted the right guys for my termite treatment. Their previous reviews did not lie. This company was punctual, incredibly friendly, appeared knowledgeable, arguably cost effective, and communicated efficiently and without stress. I have already told friends and coworkers to let me know if they need termite treatment so I can refer these guys. If you are searching for termite treatment, your search is over. Side Note: If you have a project that needs to be completed, use the Yelp "project" service to send multiple requests and get messages back from multiple businesses at once. We called this company and the owner of the company (Erik) came out right away to take a look. He was very efficient and explained this extremely well. He was able to return a few days later and get the work taken care of in about 3 hours. My mom is quite elderly and has trouble understanding things, but Erik explained things well so she was reassured. He had a great way of dealing with her (and me). I was very impressed with his work and his work ethic. He wasn't pushy or hypey. Did a great job - high quality. Great to work with him. We purchased the 5 year plan which was quite reasonably priced and will use him again when it's time.

Not the folks you should use if you have pack rats. Period…read more When we called for rodents in the attic we were told multiple times that they would not remediate or mitigate any intrusions. Okay okay we get it, you only set traps. Great. Anthony came out to provide an estimate ($450), walked the back yard and found a nest above our kitchen window - and didn't check the roof any where else. He told us explicitly they would be out every couple of days to check the traps. His specific example was they'd set the traps Friday, check Monday. Traps set around the yard on a Friday and they came back on Wednesday - five days later after we called about how much time had passed. We also said they were still in the attic. No one checked in the attic, other sections of the roof, got on a ladder, nothing. Rick said that he'd schedule a trap check for the following Friday which would have been 9 days later. That's when we were done. $450 dollars to set five traps and not come back for 5 or 9 days is absurd. When they do come, they check the trap, squeeze in more bait and bail. Five minutes max. It was a waste of time and money. Of note: Mr. Pack Rat came shortly thereafter, checked the roof with the nest and informed us that rats hadn't entered the house there. He checked the entire roofline and found the point of entry on the other side of the house and screened the hole that was in the plywood - something Pest Friends completely missed and wouldn't have done. He came out daily to check our traps, caught multiple rats, cleaned out the nest under the roof tiles and replaced them, remediated all of it until the roofers could fix the damage.

The house is vacant and now belongs to the heirs. I found American Bee Control and gave one of the heirs the phone number. They agreed to the estimate for bee removal. Greg advised me that he only gives estimates based on what they might find during the removal. They found 2 hives. They were here till almost 9pm removing the first giant hive. The entire day the bees were dive-bombing and coming after us and our animals. At one point we had to hide in the garage. The heirs were informed it would cost 200 dollars more for the second hive and a return trip. They refused and went off on the bee company saying they didn't finish the job. Instead of working it out there is now a full blown war against American Bee Control with bad reviews. The house and property has gone into disrepair and is vacant, still full of bee's under the house. This has been happening for over a year. Always question a bad review, they are not always true. Sidenote: Greg from American Bee Control talked to me for almost 40 minutes when I was searching for bee removal. We were originally going to pay for the removal. We couldn't take it anymore with the bees. I texted his number to one of the owners and they took it from there.

AZ Pest Control did the most comprehensive inspection of my home and told me where they found a colony outside that was making it's way into my house. I hired them immediately and they sprayed inside, outside, and come by every other month to spray, granulate the grounds, and check any other issues. Last year I got a call telling me they saw termite activity outside and I needed to get it treated. Mind you - I did have it treated by a different company the prior year who I'm pretty sure stole my money and did nothing. There was no record of them treating my house which they're required to report to the state. So again I hired Arizona Pest Control. We installed a treatment system and all has been fine since.
