This review is in response to the 1 star untrue statement from Celeste V. I am the neighbor in her statement. We have had bee's coming from her home for over a year. The house is vacant and now belongs to the heirs. I found American Bee Control and gave one of the heirs the phone number. They agreed to the estimate for bee removal. Greg advised me that he only gives estimates based on what they might find during the removal. They found 2 hives. They were here till almost 9pm removing the first giant hive. The entire day the bees were dive-bombing and coming after us and our animals. At one point we had to hide in the garage. The heirs were informed it would cost 200 dollars more for the second hive and a return trip. They refused and went off on the bee company saying they didn't finish the job. Instead of working it out there is now a full blown war against American Bee Control with bad reviews. The house and property has gone into disrepair and is vacant, still full of bee's under the house. This has been happening for over a year. Always question a bad review, they are not always true. Sidenote: Greg from American Bee Control talked to me for almost 40 minutes when I was searching for bee removal. We were originally going to pay for the removal. We couldn't take it anymore with the bees. I texted his number to one of the owners and they took it from there. read more

If i could give this man ZERO stars i would. Where to begin. My Parents who are both now deceased in the last 14 months had a severe bee infestation. I had spoke to J.Greg Denker after finding his name online. Coincidentally he had already been contacted by my parents neighbors. They live about 100ft away and the bees had started to give them troubles. Anyways we finally spoke and he agreed to go up and take care of our bee problems. Great right! Wrong! He told me it would cost between $750.00 to $1075.00 to remove them and relocate them to his bee farm. Well the way our conversation started the following day after the bees were SUPPOSED to be removed was with him saying "I've got good news and bad news" the good news according to Greg was it was a giant hive one of the largest he'd ever removed and the he got a lot of honey out of it. The bad news was while he was on the JOB under the trailer that his crew encountered another hive and that he'd have to return and charge us again to remove the second hive that was part of the first job. Through out this whole process he wouldn't stop referring to the neighbor who had no financial obligations to the job. Even going as far to tell us that instead of calling directly and informing us about the second hive that he decided to tell the neighbor again no obligation at all that he'd have to return after not finishing the job. I'd say that any scenarios you can think of when dealing with this man on how you might be overcharged for a incomplete job you might want to think about. I'd never recommend this Company to anyone. And if you do decide to use its at your own discretion. After a few lengthy conversations he refused to return and finish the job. Good luck to anyone who would trust this guy. read more

I cannot be more grateful for Greg and his team. At our house, he took away the be hive that formed in between the walls; bees were entering through a small crack through the roof. They were very healthy and strong. He saved them and took them back on his honey farm. He sent me pictures on how big the honey combs were, almost 5 feet long! When I went on the roof again, I though his team did not come since the stucco rebuilt and color match was so well done - but no hole nor bees in sight. Great job, well done! Greg came out to my mom's ranch and provided an amazing service and did everything he could to help. He gave great detail, was super proactive, and was super knowledgeable. He was humane and kept the bees alive and made sure they were handled safely. He made sure the bees would not come back and completely replaced the roof, rebuilt the cavity, did an excellent job. I would recommend this service to anyone, he walked my mom through all the steps and spend hours working on the hive during a storm! On May 29, Greg successfully removed a honey bee hive from the parapet above our patio. He relocated the bees using their natural behavior to gather them up. Greg was honest, well prepared and meticulous. I found his enthusiasm for saving the bees infectious and informative. His estimate was 25,000 bees were living there. He even shared pictures and gave my family a piece of the honeycomb to sample! To get access to the bees he had to strategically open a portion of the patio ceiling and then close it back up. Once the bees were safely in the bee boxes, he placed material in the open parapet to discourage the bees from building there in the future. He also sealed up the cracks to prevent future entry by bees. Looking at the repair, you wouldn't know anything had ever happened there. I've been meaning to write this review forever. Last year, this company removed a hive that had gotten started inside a wall of our house. They were able to remove the bees and seal up the entrances without breaking or opening up any part of the wall. Afterwards, you couldn't tell that anything had been done, except that the bees were gone. They are the *nicest* people...the owner and a group of apprentices with him, all of them very clean-cut, pleasant, friendly, and just all-around nice. They vacuum the bees out, without hurting them, and move them to hives outside the city...I love this! The owner also took the time to talk about bees, to give us a piece of honeycomb and actual honey from our hive, and to give us a full jar of wonderful dark amber honey from another hive. So nice to do business with them...definitely recommended! read more

Oh man, freaked out last night when I noticed a swarm of bees had moved into our backyard. Called Greg and much to my delight, and surprise, I found out that the swarm is most likely just passing through As it is that time of the year. Although I was ready to call a swarm removal specialist and pay for this, Greg was very helpful and informed me that these bees are most likely just temporarily hanging out in our yard and most likely only stopping from a day to four days time and They'll be on their way. Because of Greg at ABC, i did not even need their services. In short, he told me how to investigate whether bees that were swarming around my eaves at our back door had established a nest or were still assessing, and also how to discourage them from setting up shop there. I was convinced they had decided to nest there after watching them crawling in and out of cracks and congregating on the wall, but using a fan as he suggested, after 4 days during which they seemed very unhappy with the fan, they just disappeared. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! These guys are the real deal! HONEST! Knowledgeable, professional, they love what they do and you can tell. Greg and James were so helpful and kind. We had a bee problem on the side of our house, after calling a few exterminators and getting ridiculously high quotes, my husband found American Bee Control online, we called them, spoke with Greg and just immediately impressed with his knowledge and honesty. In the short time that we spoke with him, he taught us so much about bees. He and James were out the next morning, evaluated our bee situation, (it was no where as bad as a big named company tried to make it seem). Greg and James were able to correct the bee issue with simple backer rod and caulking for a fraction of the cost, that I was quoted from exterminators. Called Greg to remove bees that we could not remove after a swarm landed. Greg was very professional on the phone, asked me questions about what we had done to remove them, so they could come in and finish the job. Greg sent in 2 workers, very pleasant and knowledgeable about bees, as I asked a million questions! After locating the bees with an infrared sensor, they told me they would have to come in the house, and cut a hole in my wall to remove them. All was done very professionally, and they go out about 500 bees! They cleaned up every trace of their work and patched up the holes. This company wants to save the bees, not kill them. Greg was wonderful in assisting me with the removal of a large bee swarm that suddenly arrived in my yard. He took time to ask pertinent questions, was very professional and courteous and understood my concerns as I could not let my dogs out in the yard nor was it safe for us to be out around them where we might agitate them.
