There isn't a better way to celebrate Women's History Month following a YEE from Women-owned and operated Blondie's Vegan Kitchen Hawaii - Food Truck. Well this grand park which was renamed after our first Asian-American congresswoman Patsy Mink in 2007 and I can't think of any other park that would fit this incredible woman after enduring countless discrimination moved on to support Title IX, which was renamed the Patsy T. Mink Equal Opportunity in Education Act after her passing. She fought for gender and racial equality, affordable childcare...amazing!! This massive park is a spectacular hidden sports complex, from the outside you'll never know what's here until you drive in for a closer look. Just look at the park layout picture because unless you've been here before you'll never know which direction to go lol! - 4 Baseball fields - 4 Softball fields - 4 Youth baseball fields - 5 Fields - 20 Tennis courts - Aquatics complex - 4 Playgrounds Not pictured are picnic tables that are randomly placed near the tennis courts area and what I think I saw from a distance is a containment to place your used charcoals, and I read that a dog park is the newest addition. This park you certainly can keep your six feet distance and be an introvert to escape adulting which is what exactly what I did. A public park that welcomes all to participate in every activity of your choice, yes Patsy T Mink Central Oahu Regional Park is one to be proud of! Thank you!

This is a nice dog park, it's one of the newer ones. It's large, the fields are filled with grass. It's gated with a security extra gate. They offer a water fountain, and doggy bags. It's separated from large to smaller dogs. And the people that go with her dogs are super friendly. We go to the smaller side, and those dogs seem to be all well behaved and it's a safe environment. I still would be cautious because dogs are dogs. I keep a good eye on my jax. And if there is a dog that's has a little attitude, aggressive nature we just leave. That's only happened once. My Jax's Vet is going to this park, the only thing that it doesn't have a shade. So on those hot days bring your umbrella and your chairs.

Cyndy's Bottom Line: A great place for a walk... The Patsy Mink Central Oahu Regional Park is a well maintained park operated by the City and County of Honolulu. The park is lined by beautiful trees and a walking trail/path. The park is vast over 250 acres and contains softball, baseball, youth baseball fields, a tennis complex, an aquatic complex and parking lots available in each area. There are (3) playgrounds for children near the restrooms. A pet friendly park - lease required.

This happens to be one of our favorite parks on the island. Luckily for us, it's right down the street. The sheer size of this park is amazing. I believe it's almost 270 acres. The Central Oahu Regional Park complex currently includes a 20-court tennis center, which opened in 2003; the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center, four youth baseball diamonds, four regulation size baseball diamonds, a four diamond softball complex, as well as other multipurpose fields, and a 20-lane archery range. It's definitely a safe and diverse place to bring your family. Whether you're playing a dedicated sport or just want to stroll down the walk/bike paths, you can find satisfaction. There is plenty of parking and plenty of space.

This park is HUGE! So much space to do a wide variety of things. From picnics, to play grounds, to open fields, and even BBQ spots. There is so much you can do here. The park has a lot of parking and there are multiple parts of the park. I usually come here to jog as there is a trail that goes around the entire park. I have ran here a  few times. It's a well maintained park, there are usually a lot of little leagues that practice and have their games here. There are a couple of playgrounds as well for the little ones to play on. Everyone is also friendly here, when walking past or jogging past others they usually smile or say hello. Its also a perfect place to have a sit down and take in nature. Endless of activities you could do at this park. They do have restrooms as well. There are some maintenance happening in some parts of the park but it does not interfere with the whole park. There is also a shopping center right across so you can gram some snacks and head down to the park.

The park is beautiful, since the park opened its new parking lot it's is more spacious now. The new parking lot not features inconsiderate parents that allow their children to play baseball and soccer in the new parking lot. My car was nearly hit with a rogue baseball. The park has massive selection of fields plenty to use for children to ply and practice, it is unfortunate that we have adults that teach their children to play in a place where others property can be damaged.

Just stopped in to check out aquatic facility. Everything was clean and staff very pleasant.

Beautiful park. One of the biggest on the island. Well maintained, Grass is green and always cut. My son has practice here and one of the first thing he mentioned was how green it was lol.

New dog park close to home! It just opened about two weeks ago, but it was actually pretty busy when I went around 12pm on a Friday. There's two fully fenced in areas-one for big dogs and one for small dogs. There's also a drinking fountain and small bench to sit. There's no trees or covering around though so it can get kind of hot. Good size for dogs to socialize, run, and play! I first heard of this dog park on the news back in December. I decided to walk around the main Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park located on Kam Hwy, so thought I'd look for the dog park too. My dogs and I walked around the whole park looking for it, until I decided to google it. The park is actually located on the Makai end of CORP, but I had to get there through Waikele (I don't think you can get there from the main park). It's located on the Waikele end of Paiwa Street near Waikele Golf Course. There's a small parking area that is gated. Overall, it's a decent size dog park for my small dogs to run around. They met a lot of other nice dogs while I talked with a few of their owners. Everyone was nice and friendly! Will definitely be bringing them back here!

I come here to play mountain ball (slow pitch softball) with my shipyard coworkers. The grounds are well kept and the bathrooms are a cleaner version of a public restroom. We hangout after the games to bbq and there are nice guys that leave buckets to recycle the cans and bottles we drink. The park is pretty safe with lots of people exercising and playing various sports. That used to have a Taniokas to go but they closed so I'm not sure if there is any food place there anymore. Overall great park to play at.

This is a great park that has tennis courts and a swimming pool as well as soccer and softball fields. The pool facility is open to the public and they also hold swim classes( free of charge) for adult/ teens who can already swim and want to refine their technique or learn to dive. The shallowest portion of the pool is 8ft so not recommended for younger swimmers or beginners as they will not be able to touch the bottom when they tire. Bathrooms are clean and it's a nice family park for the Waipio community.

This park has been open forever just down the road from where we live and today was the first time I actually walked the park. Overall, I'd say it's a decent park. On the positive side, it's HUGE and seems to be able to handle lots and lots of youth team sports. While we were there, there were literally dozens of baseball and soccer teams practicing/playing. There are a ton of tennis courts and most of them were being used. On the negative side, the landscaping and upkeep is significantly lacking. I get it, it's Hawaii, and it's hot. It would probably take a ridiculous amount of water to keep things green, But there were just too many dirt patches, more weeds than actually grass, and plenty of plumeria leaves on the ground by the tennis courts.

Yellow line placed for pickle ball tournament and damages done when tape was removed

We, dogs adn humans, all get along swimmingly, giving both our dogs and us a chance to socialize. We share water bowls and trade dinner ideas, rosemary and training tips. It's a responsible, playful and peaceful scene. For the kids, there is a jungle gym that can get crowded, tennis backboards, and basketball courts. Also open space for playing whatever else you can think of. It can get crowded in the afternoon with baseball practice and the A-plus kids. Also the kids can leave a lot of rubbish and snacks around that the dogs can get into, so you gotta watch that. But other than that, its a fun, sober, happy hour. See you there!
