    Go 808 Rainbows....

Great park for many sports venue. Tons of parking on both sides of the park. There's a pretty big playground with cool equipment for children to enjoy with a huge skatepark. The gym is nice which is used for many different events including Judo tournaments. I was also surprised to see that they had two metal football goal post. Most parks we go to, to watch community youth football games usually don't have a football goal post or there is only one on either side. The only thing you need to be aware of is when exiting the park you can only make a right hand turn. I'm sure there is a good reason for this so heads up. Thank you Mililani for having an awesome park for our youth to enjoy.

Back to that summer fun life! Lunches for 3, no peanuts for the littles with allergies!

Really no complaints with this park... every year I send my children to the summer fun program in the gym. At least 2-3x a week during the summers we'll also have some time spent at the skate park. Everyday after the summer fun program, the kiddies will play on the kids playground. It could use some work or updates, but otherwise, it's a nice thing for the kids to enjoy. Could be worse. The staff that work at the district park are alright. Not all of them have great customer service skills, but I haven't run into any rude employees over the past 4 years of dealing with them. The parking lot could use some work too, but I'm grateful there's a good amount of stalls to accommodate all the visitors. With there being a tennis court, gym, skate park, kids playground and sports field, it sure does get crowded! Inside the gym there's bathrooms. As well as opposite side of the gym, near the sports field there's a bathroom building. Overall the Mililani District Park is very useful to the community and pretty well kept if you ask me. Especially compared to so many other district parks on the island!

Gym- I love that our kids have access to the gym, both my kids play basketball and volleyball in this gym. At one point during the heavy rain, the roof was leaking. Also the rim often does not work (to come down, move up and down for height). Parking is pretty good. Idea- for every league that we have we can ask families to donate (10-25+ $$), I am sure we can do that upon registration. This way we can assist in the up keep and maintenance of the gym. Field - we are there for baseball practices and games often. The parking is good for the field (shared with gym). We hate the trees with the sticky pods that fall from the tree. Skateboard rink- it's usually a place where teens and young adults hang out. Usually drinking and smoking both cigarettes and marijuana. Sometimes even barbecuing. It would be good if there was a patrol officer that would curb that as there are families and children who are nearby.

Mililani District Park is a family-friendly park that is easy to find, even for a townie like me.......er, with the help of Google Maps, of course! On any given Saturday, the park is filled with young families watching their children play soccer or football. The park is on the smaller side, so only 3 soccer games and 1 football game can be played at one time. The games here are for the little ones, 12 years old and under. So fun to watch! There's a restroom behind the soccer fields, right near the sidewalk. I thought it was odd that there is no ceiling over the stall, so the sun shines right in while you're in there. It could be cleaner, but you can't expect much from a public restroom. Despite how crowded it gets, you can always find parking somewhere - street parking surrounding the park or in one of the parking lots. When parking on the street, pay attention to the signs; HPD patrols quite often on weekends.

Playground equipment is in great shape but flooring needs replacement

Updated part-While the structure itself is well maintained and in good condition, the playground flooring needs replacement. This is a great neighborhood park in Mililani. While the play structure is the same generic one found in most Oahu public parks, it's great fun for little ones while their older siblings are playing basketball, tennis, baseball, or volleyball as a lot of leagues have their practices and games here. Public restrooms are inside the main gym and ONLY open when the gym is open for practices and events. There is another public restroom near the baseball fields but it's a far walk from the playground. The parking lot is a good size but can get crowded when multiple leagues have practices or game.

Ask the Community - Mililani District Park

Are dogs allowed at the park?

Aloha Bethanie. You can traverse a park to walk your dog, but for Mililani District Park you cannot remain in the park with your dog. In Mililani, the park & ride has an off-leash dog park and Mililani Waena Neighborhood Park is a leashed dog park.… Read more

Can you bring dogs inside the gymnasium?

Aloha Kristy. Typically only Service Animals are allowed inside City park gymnasiums. It is good to ask on-site staff if there is an exception to this rule.

What is the scehdule for the free play in the gym for basketball? Like what our good days and times to play without there being interuptions?

The path is paved, wide, and stroller/ tricycle/ scooter-friendly, so it works well for both adults and kids. The whole place has a calm, welcoming vibe. There are enough people around that it doesn't feel empty, but never crowded. There are several playgrounds scattered along the loop, which makes them great "pit stops" if you're there with kids. The playgrounds aren't brand new, but they're in decent condition and set on rubber flooring. They're perfect for active toddlers and slightly older kids. Our two-year-old can enjoy the slides and smaller features without it feeling overwhelming or dangerous. The only thing I wish is that there were a few more benches near the playgrounds for parents to sit and relax. The park itself is beautiful, with lots of trees providing shade and greenery that stays fresh even in the hotter months. Lately, the flowering trees have been blooming with pinkish-yellow blossoms. There are also picnic tables and restrooms available (didn't check the restrooms personally, but they're there).

I also can try the cul de sacs, however most times these side streets are pretty crowded. w So why would I need to go the park when it's raining? Well, just like everyone else around the area, I have a dog and I live in a townhouse. Poor puppy will wake me up at 2 am if I don't get her good and tired. So, we go to the park. Leading into the secondly... Secondly, I have been doing this for over a year and by now, my dog has friends. Like, a lot of friends. And the humans aren't so bad either. We, dogs adn humans, all get along swimmingly, giving both our dogs and us a chance to socialize. We share water bowls and trade dinner ideas, rosemary and training tips. It's a responsible, playful and peaceful scene. For the kids, there is a jungle gym that can get crowded, tennis backboards, and basketball courts. Also open space for playing whatever else you can think of. It can get crowded in the afternoon with baseball practice and the A-plus kids. Also the kids can leave a lot of rubbish and snacks around that the dogs can get into, so you gotta watch that. But other than that, its a fun, sober, happy hour. See you there!
