I am AMAZED!! at the amount of community parks that are available in a 10 mile radius from my home. This is one of them. We love this park for many reasons: convenience, available parking, public bathrooms and a children's playground. But what we love the most is the fact there is a fenced doggie park - for small dogs (under 30 lbs) and larger dogs (over 30 lbs). Up until recently there hasn't been a dispenser or availability of dog waste bags but todays visit revealed that someone has filled a make-shift crate with plastic bags for use. There is now also a trash receptacle for the dog waste just outside the gate. There are a couple of benches and water faucets with bowls for your canines. It's a huge run area for your furr-kid(s) to play in!! I have a feeling that this park is still a work in progress because little changes such as the trash receptacles and trash bag "dispenser" are new. I hope Parks/Rec are listening or reading these posts requesting a plea for more trees. It still behooves me that developers are so eager to chop and bulldoze trees. In places I've lived (ex. Virginia) builders were required to leave a percentage of designated trees on property when building new housing and parks. We want those big, BEAUTIFUL, GROWN trees in our parks. My only gripe is that this park lacks mature trees for shade. My furr-kids love a romp in the confines of a fenced park but eventually they tire and want to lay under some shade - and in this case, the only shade available is under the bench I'm sitting on (and that's the only reason why this place gets a 4 star). I love that this community is family centered and there are many activities that are specifically geared just for that. Also, there are WIDE, OPEN SPACES (cue in DIXIE CHICKS)....plenty of SPACE to fly a kite or mini-plane , have your kid(s) drive their motorized cars/trucks, etc., and basically LOTS of space to pitch your tent and have a family picnic.

    Perfect spot for kites!

This is a good family park. They have everything from wide open field for the kids to run around or fly a kite (no trees). They have a small playground for the kids. There is a lot of parking, luckily we have never encountered an issue with that. For the adults, they have a workout area with bars, beams, and more. It is in the same area as the playground so it's really easy to get in your workout. For all you doggie owners, there is also an eclosed park for the dogs. There are several picnic benches, so pack up and have a family day!

Huge gaming area. So it seems kids today love to stay home and play video games, why when you have a whole area like this to play? The community park is large. So large, that during the year the EWA community holds movies and swap meets here. There was going to be an Easter Egg Hunt but Mother Nature didn't comply. It's so large, that coaches bring there teams here to practice flag football, soccer, and I even saw a few teens practicing marching band. And I believe you can hold a family party here. I did see a bounce house and people celebrating a couple of times. The place is nicely maintained. Trash in the trash cans instead of on the grass and the parking lot stalls are big. There are a couple of tables and a few benches. Personally I would lay out a blanket on the beautiful thick grass. All the exercise benches and kids playground equipment works. And I'm happy to say there is no graffiti anywhere. There's a large restroom area and that's also well maintained. And occasionally you find a police officer catching up on their paperwork in the parking lot. At the far left is a dog park. Great for your furry friends to run around and smell each other's butts. I recommend not placing you blanket near the dog park. Overall five stars. All the equipment works and no ugly graffiti. The place would be more perfect with a BBQ grill but that's a liability for the association so I gotta understand. Now excuse me, I'm putting my phone down and enjoy the simple things in life. I suggest you do too. M

The park is nice, as it has a place fenced off for dogs to play. However, if you want to have any event their, or set up a tent, table or anything like that you have to get a permit that cost $10 dollars an hour if you live in the community and $20 an hour if you do not have someone sponsoring you that lives in the community. They also charge a $75 deposit that is refunded in 7 days as long as the park is not damaged. The only problem is their is others using the park while you are using it and no one comes and signs off saying the park is not damaged when you are done. It would be nice to have signs up as most residents do not even know they have to have a permit. Their many other parks close by that are free this one should be the same if it is just a gender reveal or birthday party something simple like that.

Jungle gym, and work out station located.

This park is Huuuuuuge lol. They have an open field area that can host multiple sports at the same time (flag football, soccer etc) and also 2 jungle gyms for the keikis to play on. When they get tired of the a jungle gym, they can go over to the outdoors workout area that is well maintained. Parking is never an issue here, their parking lot has very good amount of spaces available. Their bathrooms are very well maintained, and the plus side to this is that they are located directly next to the jungle gyms. That way you don't have to travel half the length of the park just to do you business like other parks. The one thing you'll notice here is that they have 2 dog parks that allows yiur furry animal the freedom to run full sprint if they choose to. The dog park is pretty straight forward. No hills, no digging area. In fact the only things that's in the dog park itself is trash bins, and a bench for the owners to sit on. I love this park because this is where we play football with my kids, and also a great place t9 get in a circuit workout in. My kids love this place because of the fun things to do. My only pet peeve is that the shade is basically non-existent. You have but 1 tree , and if it's hot out and someone else is under it, you're basically out of luck lol. Most parents fi d shade under the small available space in the bathroom area lol. Overall my wife and I will continue to bring our kids here because, well they just love it here. Aloha.

Very clean bathrooms with soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Keep it nice people!!!

This review is for the PARK area. Really nice and great play equipment for the kids. Unreal as it's less than a mile from Geiger Park -that is totally trashed. Please keep this park safe and in working order! No graffiti and everything is brand new. Bathrooms are clean and fully stocked with everything needed, even a baby changing station. Parking lot is newly paved and has a lot of parking. The only thing that could improve this location is some trees for shade and a few more tables/benches. Will definitely be bringing the kids by again!

Some of the upcoming events in the area. Bulletin board located by the restrooms.

Very spacious park located in Ewa Beach. Park is located just down the road from the Hawaii Prince Golf course and more down and across the street is the Laulani Village shopping center. This park offers a jungle gym area for the keikis, a little workout station, and also shares the area with a GATED dog park. The bathrooms are not too far away and have always been well maintained. A bulletin board is erected by the bathrooms so that you can keep up to date with the events that are held in the area (i.e. movie at the park, swap meets, etc..) My kids love coming to this place because when they get tired of the jungle gym area, they can swing on over to the work out station and practice their gymnastics moves on the pull up bars and whatnot. They only problem, as with most parks we frequent, is the shade. Meaning, it's non-existent! Most moms would agree but I suggest you pack up a folding chair and park your butt by the bathrooms, cause that's pretty much the only shaded area there is. Other than that, it's a great park to let your little monsters run loose...get them good and tired and they'll take a good nap afterwards!

Cute little park. Came here for an Easter event for Ewa by Gentry. I appreciated the little parking lot in front of the park itself. The park that we go to only has street parking. The jungle gym was clean, no graffiti. There were nearby tables to sit on, but no benches right next to the play area. They also had an exercise area for adults with boards that had the instructions for some of the workouts.

Love this park. Great for the dogs and the kids. I just wish EVERYONE would pick up after their dogs (and kids, lol).

Nice clean park. Dog and child friendly. Early morning and early evening visits are best, since the weather is cooler.

Gentry Community Park sits a lone structure that houses an outdoor lap pool and party pavillions. Having a community center like this is a huge plus because here in Hawaii there is no such thing as a "small party." There are two pavilions available for rental: LARGE PAVILION: - maximum capacity is 88 people - that provides 16 tables and seating for 88 people - damage deposit check of $275.000 - rental fee with pool access for $375.00 - rental fee without pool access $275.00 - minimum time to rent pavilion is 5 hours - additional hourly rate if your event surpasses 5 hours is $55.00/hr - additional hourly rate for pool time if your event surpasses 5 hours is $25.00/hr - FULL KITCHEN AVAILABLE ON PREMISE SMALL PAVILION: - maximum capacity is 39 people - that provides 8 tables and 39 chairs - damage deposit check of $175.00 - rental fee with pool access for $275.00 - rental fee without pool access is $175.00 - minimum time to rent pavilion is 5 hours - additional hourly rate if your event surpasses 5 hours is $35.00/hr - additional hourly rate for pool time if your event surpasses 5 hours is $25.00 - NO KITCHEN AVAILABLE FOR SMALL PAVILION Also note there there NO LIFEGUARDS OR ATTENDANTS ON DUTY TO PROVIDE SUPERVISION. What I love about this place is that your guests can get as loud as they want because there is no immediate housing nearby that would complain of noise pollution. It's a great venue for parties that require more space than your home or perhaps something not the size of a banquet room at a hotel or country club. Perfect for the "small" local parties. There is tons of parking specific to this community center but also tons of available non-metered street parking. There is also a resident pool membership if your specific housing does not have a pool. The fee is an annual rate of $50.00 for head of household and $15.00 for each additional household member who is 7 years and older. There's a pool schedule that allots for open swims, swim clubs and lessons as well as overnight lap swims (it's an additional fee to have access to night swims). In my opinion, this is such a great asset to the growing Ewa plain community. The only downside is that this community center is that it's for all Ewa by Gentry (can't have just one if you're gonna build up the entire west side of Oahu). This is strictly a community center with no recreational equipment (like a gym or workout equipment).
