The slice was a bit underwhelming. Im from NY, so maybe I'm spoiled or have a different idea of a slice. This was just not fulfilling and expensive! The dough was too thin, sauce lacked flavor, cheese was there. Sorry. I wouldn't recommend. However, it was fast for the time we had. read more

Great pizza, the dough is fluffy and chewy. Tomatoes were fresh and the slice was very large. Cashier was friendly and service was fast, they warm up the pizza for you first. Made the trip from the Westside cause we heard good things about this place. Supposed to be historical . Well sure it's historical but that doesn't mean the pizza is good. So a bunch of famous people have been there. And sure the originators were from NYC. This pizza pales in comparison to many of the NY style places that have popped up in LA. Patsys wont even make it into my top 15. Also if you ask for garlic or pepper they put it in a little bag . And they are very stingy about the amount they give you. Just let people sprinkle their own crushed pepper and it will save time and money on those stupid little bags. I stopped here on a visit to LA. I have a pizza obsession. This was the best pizza I've ever had. The sweet fresh crushed tomato sauce, the paper thin perfectly crispy and slightly chewy crust and the mouth watering cheese. I really wish it was closer. I live near award winning pizza places. Okay, this place is in a very good location that they obviously don't care if they have the worst customer service ever. They can screw you in so many ways because at the end of the day, they are inside the farmers market and people have no choice but to order there specially when the mall is crowded. Owner is rude, the girl with the green hair is rude and they just don't give a fuck. Pizza is okay, tastes good, but honestly overpriced, i paid $6 for a small sice. Look, if you want to pay for an over priced pizza with a complimentary bad service and a guaranteed mood destruction, then by all means, order from this place. read more

I had a classic cheese pizza on the gluten free rice flower bread and I must say, SPECTACULAR Im very picky when it comes down to gluten free pizzas since I like my breads doughy and overall more of a "full" texture but this pizza really hit the spot. It's been around 60 years since I worked at the Farmers Market and frequently ate at what was then known as Patsy's Pizza. Theirs was the best lasagna I have ever eaten in my entire life and has never been bested anywhere in the world that I have ever eaten lasagna, including MIlano! I hope that they have not altered their recipe over the decades! The sausage and cheese(s) were sublime. I sometimes wish that they shipped overnight to Ohio. read more

It is located on the east end inside the Old Farmer's Market (on The Grove side). The market is like a giant food court with a few other shops sprinkled in between. The design and appearance of this pizza spot make it seem finer than it is. The signage and colors are excellent right down to the font type used. They also have a nice open oven with a beautiful eye-catching flame. The pizza served whole or by the slice is good for what it is and where you are. It's fresh, satisfying, and gets an A-okay. I love pizza so it's great for a quick bite to eat while window shopping. The area especially on the weekends is usually very crowded with people eating all the types of food offered in the maze of booths. There are some chairs and tables just opposite the ordering counter or if full, you can walk and find a seat close by. Service while ordering is fine and friendly. read more

Disgusting place. Very racist people. We went to farmer's market at 12/28/2025 around 7:00 PM and decided to give this place a try. The place was very busy, everyone was getting 12' to 16' whole pizza, and ten people in front of us ordered whole pizzas, so when it was my turn with my mom to buy a 16' whole pizza, the lady with the green hair decided to not sell us the 12' to 16' whole pizza but instead offered us to buy their over priced slices of pizza ($6 usd each). So we agreed to buy 9 slices of peperroni pizza. We waited for almost an hour only to be told that they only have 4 slices of peperroni pizza ready, and they want to give our slices to other people who only have few orders. Like WTF, you made us wait that long and you want to give our pizza to the white people behind us who only ordered a few? Mind you those people just came in line for at least 10 minutes. Like we have to feed 9 people and you would take 4 slices from us because you think serving people behind us is more important that us who waited for freaking 1 hour? Are you fucking kidding me? The person on the picture is the boss, he fucking suggested to serve the white people behind us first and told his server to say it in a manner that is less racist but obviously the intent behind was very racist. I honestly can't believe the horrible way I was treated at this restaurant. I approached the counter and this older gentleman with glasses was there. I asked if my order was ready that I did online and he ignored me. I asked again and he said he isn't responsible. The girl working grabbed it and gave it to me and said it's been ready. Today we decided to stop by the original farmer's market. We walked around for a bit and honestly it's a little overwhelming because they have so many choices and there's so many people everywhere! We enjoy a good slice of pizza and this seemed like the safest choice. &The pepperoni pizza was really good and they were a pretty decent size. This spot is in the middle of the farmers market at the grove. I liked that we can see the pizza making happening in the back ground. The pizza was a bit greasy for me, but the flavors were great. Seating is first come first serve for all the restaurants in the location and it's all very casual. If you're looking for quick service and enjoy pizza, it's a good try! read more

This was so disappointing. They're taking a small pizza and cutting it into 4ths at $6 a pop. So a 6 dollar slice and it was so small with a couple of pepperoni on a PP slice. Yikes. Asked for a side salad. It was massively wilted and drenched in a bland Italian dressing. No textures, it was awful. I asked for a a sausage sandwich and I watched it sit on the counter for so long while they served customer after customer who wanted pizza slices. By the time they called me back, the sandwich bread was already chewy. Definitely not fresh bread. All in all, it was a $25 terrible order, (6 for slice, 4 for salad, and the chewy sandwich) . I'm positive I remember they used to be better. At this point, I won't be back. I hope they can improve back to good service and good pizza. IMO They no longer have earned the idea of being massively overpriced Grove worthy. The fact that they don't answer a single review says a lot. They just don't care. read more

The service is bad. I ordered 3 slices of pizza and the girl suggested I get a whole pizza for 50 cents more. She did not mention that there were 5 orders ahead and it would be 15-20 minutes before even putting the pizza in the oven and then 5-10 minutes after that I'd have my order. I asked for the pizza that came out of the oven first and she said that was the pizza for the front. After 20 minutes waiting I said forget it just give me the 3 slices and call it a day. This cut from the pizza sitting there full all along. The pizza was obviously cold. The associate was rude. She should have simply said you can get a whole pizza for 50 cents more but it will take 30 minutes longer. I'd have obviously said no. read more

Still waiting on my order which was well over 1 and a half ago and live 1 minute away. Never ordering again. Oh so now it's finally arrived and of course cold. I paid $2.75 extra for tomato topping and this is what I got. Little microscopic chopped up scarce pieces of tomato. Usually when you request tomato as a topping on a pizza it means slices. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast menu and other items though. Because peeking at the other tables they offerings looked delicious.

The pizza is average but what really angered me is that these owners pass on the merchant charges to all of their customers and try to hide it. This is not legal. They do NOT offer a cash discount for cash-paying customers (which is legal). The price is the same for everyone but they charge you an extra 3.9% if you pay with a credit card. What really prompted me writing this review was that she told me the charge: $19.50. She ran my card and it said $20.24. I asked her why it charged me $20.24 when she asked for $19.50? She was very defensive when I told her that they are not allowed to pass on their bank charges to paying customers. We won't be patronizing this business again. We consumers pay credit companies plenty with late charges and extremely high finance charges. Charging merchants a fee for the ability to obtain payment through their system is the cost of doing business--if they don't like it, they do not have to accept credit cards. Or they can simply raise their prices, but I do not want to help them pay their cost of doing business. read more

The customer service at this place is absolutely terrible, especially from Marco, the so-called manager. I ordered a cheese pizza slice and asked how long it would take. He told me 15-20 minutes, so I waited patiently. After that time passed, the slice still wasn't ready. Since I was waiting for my child, I decided to stick it out, but at that point, Marco casually laughed and told me it would take another 40 minutes. As I continued to wait, I couldn't help but notice how Marco was treating the young staff members. He was loudly yelling at them and belittling them in front of customers, even though they were nothing but polite and apologetic to customers. It was incredibly uncomfortable to witness and unprofessional. It's clear Marco has no understanding of how to manage a team or interact with customers. The whole experience was frustrating and disappointing, and it's clear that this place needs a new manager who knows how to run a business and treat both employees and customers with respect. The undercarriage was a bit thicker than I usually like, but gave necessary support to the somewhat loaded pie. The downside of that stability underneath is the density of the crust at the edge, which was a bit too puffy for me and somewhat lacking in flavor. There are other places around town with far tastier dough on display. That said, Vito's is still offering a high quality slice in a comfortable and casual space that screams New York Pizza Joint in the best ways. The gal behind the counter even asked if I wanted a refill on my drink. Good people and good eats. But be warned, parking can be tricky here, so leave some extra time to work out the details once you arrive and scope out the situation.
