I have been waiting 11 months to have a cocktail after having my baby and Monty's provided!!…read more Found them on Yelp and they were close by. My SIL accompanied and treated me. We had a lovely time catching up in a comfy booth on a late afternoon (plenty of seating, you can seat yourself). The employees were friendly and helpful! I needed help picking a sweet cocktail and the waitress gave me some recommendations. I ended up choosing the Espresso Martini and it was delicious!! My SIL and I only ordered drinks but they kept checking on us to make sure we were good and didn't need to order anything else. It had a great atmosphere and was clean. I would come back! Parking is right in front too.

This used to be one of my go-to places, which makes this review really disappointing to write…read more I came here regularly, knew many of the staff by name, tipped very well, and genuinely liked the food. Unfortunately, my orders were wrong a surprising amount of the time. Sometimes it was something bigger, like no pesto on a pesto chicken sandwich, and sometimes it was smaller, like fries instead of tots. I was often patient and understanding about it because I liked the place and the people who worked there. A couple of months ago, after another issue with my food, a bartender dismissed my concerns and told me he had "never seen a more consistent kitchen." He also implied that I had said the kitchen "couldn't make anything good," which I never said. The food is good when it comes out correctly. My issue was not the quality of the food. My issue was the repeated mistakes and the way I was spoken to when I brought them up. What made it especially frustrating is that this bartender had not been present for any of the past issues, yet spoke to me as if my experience was invalid. I did not appreciate being treated like the problem when I had been a loyal, kind, and generous customer for a long time, even if he personally wasn't aware of that history. I'm genuinely sad to no longer be welcome at a place I used to enjoy so much, especially because I liked many of the other staff members. But I am thankful that I don't have to spend my money somewhere that handles customer concerns this way. Because of this experience, I probably will not be visiting this restaurant or the other restaurants associated with this group. My money is earned through my energy, and I'd rather spend it somewhere that values my business and treats customers with basic human decency.

Disappointing BBQ Experience We drove in from a few towns…read moreover, excited to try this spot because they're open late (until 11pm) and we were craving some solid BBQ. Unfortunately, it was a pretty disappointing visit overall. We ordered the DQ Pulled Pork and Brisket, and both came out cold with no flavor. The corn bread was okay, and the collard greens were surprisingly spicy -- not bad, just unexpected. We originally wanted the trifecta but they had already run out of ribs. So we went for two orders of burnt ends, expecting that rich, crispy texture. Instead, they were soft, smushy, and cold -- more like baby food than BBQ. Not good at all. The only standout dish was the corn cream cheese side -- warm, flavorful, and probably the best part of the meal. Also worth mentioning: the bartender was great -- super cool and clearly passionate. The place itself has a chill, loungey vibe, but it doesn't really feel like a true BBQ joint. Final thoughts: Burnt ends: Cold, soft, no bark -- total miss Pulled pork & brisket: Cold, bland Collard greens: Spicy, but decent Corn cream cheese: Delicious Vibe: Cool, but not very BBQ-ish Service: Bartender was the highlight Wish we could've had the food to match the energy. Hopefully they can tighten things up, especially on the basics.

What I do love about Ann Arbor is that they balance out the drunk haunts of young adults with great restaurants and high end bars for the people looking for more than a pitcher of cheap beer. Rabbit Hole is one of those spots. Down the same little alley way as Circ Bar, this underground bar is tucked away, stone hallways and open up and lead to different openings that provide seating, a dance floor and an amazingly stocked bar. If you like bourbon you will love this spot. Our bartender was fantastic, absolutely worked with me on working out a drink. I know I took a pic of an espresso martini, but my drink was made perfect also. Another nice surprise was that it wasn't some crazy price on the drink (I mean any crazier than other places and quite cheaper than around my home), especially for Ann Arbor. Walking away from the bar is a dance floor, and surrounding it are booths in a separate rooms and tables on a level up from the dance floor. There are also two hallways that lead to more booths and tables in different areas of the bar. As you can imagine this is a huge place. We came on a Friday and it wasn't very busy, but school is out and the weather had just broke so not surprising. I really enjoyed my time and the company I was with, and I would definitely go back.

Definitely a bit confusing to figure out where to go. I wish I had been given some direction. There is seating against the wall throughout the winding halls. There is a dance floor and a couple bars. I loved the look which would definitely bring me back if I had also loved the Cocktails. The drink I ordered was way too sweet. I was underwhelmed. Most of their drinks looked on the sweeter side even the bartender mentioned. For my second I just ordered a glass of bubbly. It was also on the sweeter side but an improvement. For the prices, I really don't want to have to get up, find my way back to the bar to order my drink, then walk back to my seat avoiding the people and trying not to spill.

Our experience started out wonderful! We walked in after our friend's bridal shower to each get a cocktail. We did have a larger group and were told that the bill couldn't be split for parties over 6. Totally fine. No problem at all. The bartender asked what we were celebrating, and we told her about our blushing bride. She was very kind and told us she had a gift for us! To our surprise, she made all 10 of us shots. It was so so kind. She took most of the orders but when she got to me, I told her that I hadn't decided yet and would need a tad more time. She told me no problem. She made everyone's drinks. And brought them to the table. In the midst of her bringing the drinks. One of our friends had bent down to fix her shoe and on her way up, knocked a glass over and it broke. The bartenders mood, demeanor, service quality, and attitude shifted entirely. When the glass broke, she rolled her eyes and let out a big sigh. She made snide comments about "this big group". She darted glares in our direction every chance she got and continued to roll her eyes. My friend profusely apologized and the bartender ignored her, not saying anything but continuing to sigh and roll her eyes. My friend, in an attempt to help, started to help pick up some of the large pieces of the glass. The bartender raised her voice saying "put it down". Mistakes happen. My friend hadn't had a single drink that night and was very apologetic but was treated very poorly by the staff for a simple mishap that happens in food service industries. I'd like to say that the cocktails were yummy but I didn't get to try the one I wanted to order. She never came to take my order. After my friend were finished with their drinks, she did come back once more. To take the menus out from in front of me and my husband to give them to different guests. At first, it seemed wonderful, but it kind of ruined our night to come here. So be careful and don't make any mistakes in the presence of their classy staff.

I can only…read morespeak for the cocktails portion of the joint, but I'll say that I'm definitely interested in stopping back in to try out some coffee! I stopped in with a group on a weeknight recently, and even on a cold December night, we found that there was a small crowd inside, with groups of all sizes grabbing drinks and catching up. The inside of the establishment is a mix of super high ceilings and surpisingly limited seats. There are a fair amount of tables and bar seating as well, but just less than you'd expect by looking at it from the outside! There are a ton of TVs inside, so I could imagine this would be a good place to watch sports -- while we were there, they were playing a Lord of the Rings movie and we heard from the bartender that they often have movies of such high caliber playing! Now onto the important part - the cocktails! We tried a couple of cocktails from their menu and found that though they tasted good, they felt somewhat lacking in alcohol... either the bartender did an amazing job with the mix, or they were light pours. I will say I got an old fashioned after that, and the old fashioned was excellent! Handmade, not pre-mixed, and both the flavor and presentation were excellent. Overall, I'd say we had a pretty solid experience - I'll be back to try out some more drinks for sure (both cocktails and coffee!)

I decided to check out the bar/lounge at the nearby Sheraton and have to say, no wonder Marriott decided to buy these guys! They have great beers on tap and great food. I had the sliders and the Santorini salad, which has fried artichokes on it. The sliders were great. Straight up beef patties on a brioche-like bun. No filler, slightly thin, but still tastes great and beefy. Just what I wanted. The Santorini salad is about twice as big as I thought it would be for $9. I really liked the greens which included butter, red, iceberg and romaine lettuces. It also had goat cheese, olives and fried artichoke hearts. Yum, but I couldn't finish it. Since I'm at the Res Inn I just took the rest with me. I also had the Blond ales on tap. Their big deal is supposed to be the wine selection, but the beer selection is very good. Perfect for slider night! Full, refreshed and ready for he long plane rides home tomorrow.

The food and service here are really good, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Located in the lobby of the Sheraton, you almost miss it because it is so quiet. The ambiance is a little dark but not really dark - so perfect for relaxing. There is an unobtrusive TV above the bar for sports enthusiasts, but it is quiet to allow for conversation. The food ranges from quite good to really, really good. The bruschetta is distinct and fantastic. The mixture is served separately from the crustini, ensuring that the bread doesn't get soggy. And it has little pieces of fresh mozzarella in it to add even more freshness! Their fried mozzarella is also quite good, clearly freshly made. A friend had their salad and got blackened salad on it and really enjoyed it. They are happy to customize orders, whether that be food or drink. And they are happy to make drinks extra strong, so that's never a bad thing!
