Great Maine beer on tap, the pizzas are delicious (of course), service is prompt, and it's exactly the friendly crowd you'd expect in rural Maine! Visiting from CT and happened to drive by this place and the parking lot was pretty busy. We pulled in and placed a to go order. A small one topping pie and a ziti with meat sauce. The two girls at the counter did an adequate job but weren't welcoming when we came in. The pizza was much smaller than anticipated especially for the cost. The crust had a grocery store frozen pizza taste. The sauce was bland and the cheese odd tasting. The ziti with meat sauce looked and tasted like someone just opened a can of crushed tomatoes, cooked a couple of burgers on the flat top and just mixed them all together. You could tell instantly that this was not simmering for more than a couple of minutes. The side salad came without a choice of dressing and the meal came with no cutlery in the bag. The lone bright spot of the entire order was the two slices of garlic bread/Texas toast. Maybe I'm a bit biased coming from an area with a plethora of excellent Italian restaurants and pizza places but I can't even begin to explain how disappointing this place was. No one at counter so after a couple minutes I stuck my head around to ask if they were doing slices, the two bartenders/waitresses just said to ring the bell, and went back to their conversations. Located only a couple of minutes from the Comfort Inn is this Pat's Pizza. My fiancé & I wanted to get some dinner but not go too far. I had done some research on this place & enjoyed reading the story of how it started & how it is today. I can't believe how many locations they have! We called ahead to see how busy they get & whoever picked up the phone was so sweet & gave some advice. She said that usually around 6pm on a Saturday night things really start to pick up. They do have an outdoor patio with regular live music but it was a bit too hot for us to sit outside. A lot of people were opting to go out there, though. I agree with others that I like how their tables have local sports teams, schools & logos. The pub side has professional sports team logos on the round tables. We opted to sit in the dining room to the left of where you pick up takeout orders. The booths are a little bit rickety & move around a lot when others are on the other side of you, but oh well. My fiancé had the steak & cheese. He did request that they put mayo on it, but that was forgotten. We asked our server for a side of it which she promptly got. I had the honey BBQ salad & it was MASSIVE! I could hardly eat it & took most of it back with me. The jalapeno poppers were pretty good. Very similar to many places but not disappointing. I have seen some customer service complaints & when we initially walked in there wasn't anyone at the front but there were a couple of people at the pickup window that stared at us. Yes, Yelp..."Yay! I'm a fan" :) One thing that I love is how they make it "local" The high school mascots on the tables. It's pretty cool. While it is a local chain, it feels like a town-local pub with the customization. The parking ...AWESOME! so many spaces for everyone. I would be afraid that if the lot was full, the place would be packed! Luckily I like to eat a late lunch early dinner. Usually plenty of seats at 2:30pm on Saturday. LOL The staff is amazing. They're fast zipping around, taking orders and delivering orders. They are on the spot with drink refills. Never have to look for someone to fill your drink. The food is decent. It's consistent with decent portions. Not award winning, but it warms the heart and fills the stomach. Definitely a go-to place for me and my dad when we feel like yummy pub food and don't want to wait too long. Also...my dad LOVES the french fries here...he says they're his favorite french fries. I LOVE THE TOTS!!!!!!!!!! The only downside with the location, is trying to exit the parking lot during the busy summer days. It's difficult to try to turn right if people don't let you out, because the entry/exit is right at the stop light. Don't even try to turn left across 4 lanes of traffic during the day. Fun place to go to sit at the bar and catch a game over an ice cold frosty beverage. Usually has a decent friendly crowd. The waitresses and bartenders are always friendly and usually attentive, (sometime the barkeeps get sidetracked but it's not too unreasonable). I saw one of the bad pizza reviews and I will say that my pizza experience has always been great. I usually only order a cheese or sausage pizza but they have always been spread out to the edge and I've never seen a wide crust like in the pictures on an other review, so I will recommend the tasty thin crust pizza. I never join Mug Clubs as the mugs sit on a ceiling hook collecting dust and it's rare to see a bartender wash them out before hitting the tap, so it's not my thing here or anywhere else. read more

We decided to try it for the first time today. Not sure what to say .... nothing was wrong with our visit but nothing stood out either. The service was rudimentary and the food was decent. I like a pizza with a crust that is crisp and my pizza was quite doughy though.... especially considering I had no other topping besides cheese. This place is okay, but it wouldn't become my normal pizza spot. They have a good deal Monday-Wednesday for a large one topping for $8.99. So for that price, it's good. I'm not sure if I would come another time and spend anymore, though. But the reason I gave it a two star is for the other factors. The first being the pretzel bites. They're okay, but they're almost rock hard and you don't get many for $9. They're really small, so while you may get 10 of them, they're only maybe an inch big. Just too overpriced. The cheese that comes with it is not good at all and was also burnt tasting. And two; the customer service. That's what matters the most to me. No matter where I go, the food can be okay, but I'll keep going back if you have great customer service. And they weren't that great. This isn't the first time I've gone to this establishment, so I wish I could say this was a one time thing, but it isn't. And what happened tonight seems to be the same issue every time I go. When I arrived tonight, many people were just standing around behind the counter either just staring at me or doing something else. And I understand if you're doing something and busy. I don't mind waiting, but to not even to acknowledge I'm there and just stare at me is pretty weird. Finally someone came over and asked if I had been helped, but I couldn't understand why the three other people staring at me either A) couldn't help me out or B) make some kind of acknowledgment that I was there instead of awkwardly staring at me. If the customer service was improved (like a lot) and the food wasn't burnt, maybe I could then justify the prices. But as it sits now, it's okay, but not that great. read more

Just had a disappointing experience here. After waiting awhile after ordering our food (a large Pat's combo) a woman came out with a pizza and said, "Pat's Combo?" while trying to decide whether or not it belonged to my booth or to the next booth. I tried to get her attention, as I was pretty sure it was ours since the people in the booth arrived 10 minutes after we did, but she plunked it down on their table and went back to the kitchen. We waited a minute or two, and then my suspicions were confirmed when I noticed the woman look at the computer and the the other booth, and then a panicked look crossed her face and she ran back to the kitchen. Another five minutes passed and then the woman came out with the pizza rack and told us it would be a few minutes until our food was ready. She did NOT inform us of a mix-up. About 10 minutes passes and our pizza comes out and is lukewarm. We weren't impressed that nobody felt it necessary to tell us about the mixup, but we decided to eat it because we were really hungry at this point, and it tasted good, despite its temperature. At this point we would've left full, but disappointed in the service, however what happened next made us angry. Our waitress (not the pizza woman), went over to the booth next to us and apologized for giving them the wrong pizza and informed them that they'd get half off their pizza. When she came over to us, she gave us a box and our check and started to leave. At this point we were upset: we asked why no one had ever acknowledged what had happened to our order, and why it was lukewarm after waiting so long for it. We then asked if they could do anything for us. To their credit, they comped us the whole pizza after we complained, which was much appreciated Still, it would've been better if they were just upfront with us from the beginning. Instead, they just pretended like it didn't happen and tried to sneak it past us. TL;DR: the lukewarm pizza was good, but the lack of service left a bad taste in our mouths. read more

As several other reviewers have said, other locations of this chain are, well, off the chain. I've spent many hours at the Yarmouth location drinking pitchers of beer, eating delicious food and watching hockey. For whatever reason, the Brunswick location is struggle town. I've eaten in house a few times and it's been fine, but anytime I order (3 times and the last time) for delivery it is terrible! I order, the staff says it will be 1.5 hours, and less than 20 minutes later I get a knock on my door and a bunch of undercooked food. Do they think people are wilting away if they order food? I'd rather wait 2 hours for cooked food. And if I call to say the food is undercooked I get told I need to order it "well done". Cool. Like someone else said, at least Dominos is reliable. read more

I'd do 3.5 if it was possible. Let me start off with the wait staff, they are always very friendly and attentive. However, we've been there twice while they were playing music on their cell phones at the drink area. Super annoying. The food can be great or it can be very off. 80% of the time it's excellent and cooked perfectly. The other 20% of the time it's over cooked or with so many toppings you can't even pick it up.
