Steak & cheese; honey BBQ chicken salad
    Rachel B.

Located only a couple of minutes from the Comfort Inn is this Pat's Pizza. My fiancé & I wanted to get some dinner but not go too far. I had done some research on this place & enjoyed reading the story of how it started & how it is today. I can't believe how many locations they have! We called ahead to see how busy they get & whoever picked up the phone was so sweet & gave some advice. She said that usually around 6pm on a Saturday night things really start to pick up. They do have an outdoor patio with regular live music but it was a bit too hot for us to sit outside. A lot of people were opting to go out there, though. I agree with others that I like how their tables have local sports teams, schools & logos. The pub side has professional sports team logos on the round tables. We opted to sit in the dining room to the left of where you pick up takeout orders. The booths are a little bit rickety & move around a lot when others are on the other side of you, but oh well. My fiancé had the steak & cheese. He did request that they put mayo on it, but that was forgotten. We asked our server for a side of it which she promptly got. I had the honey BBQ salad & it was MASSIVE! I could hardly eat it & took most of it back with me. The jalapeno poppers were pretty good. Very similar to many places but not disappointing. I have seen some customer service complaints & when we initially walked in there wasn't anyone at the front but there were a couple of people at the pickup window that stared at us. We patiently waited for someone to seat us, though.

If you like over priced mediocre food this place is for you. I needed to call in my order due to an allergy and the price was $8 more than online. When I questioned it I was told the site needed to be fixed....umm ok. On to the tuna melt it was open faced with rubbery cheese that wasn't good. The fish sandwich wasn't real fish it was similar to a McDonalds sandwich for $12! The lettuce was also wilted. However the pizza was just ok.

Yes, Yelp..."Yay! I'm a fan" :) One thing that I love is how they make it "local" The high school mascots on the tables. It's pretty cool. While it is a local chain, it feels like a town-local pub with the customization. The parking ...AWESOME! so many spaces for everyone. I would be afraid that if the lot was full, the place would be packed! Luckily I like to eat a late lunch early dinner. Usually plenty of seats at 2:30pm on Saturday. LOL The staff is amazing. They're fast zipping around, taking orders and delivering orders. They are on the spot with drink refills. Never have to look for someone to fill your drink. The food is decent. It's consistent with decent portions. Not award winning, but it warms the heart and fills the stomach. Definitely a go-to place for me and my dad when we feel like yummy pub food and don't want to wait too long. Also...my dad LOVES the french fries here...he says they're his favorite french fries. I LOVE THE TOTS!!!!!!!!!! The only downside with the location, is trying to exit the parking lot during the busy summer days. It's difficult to try to turn right if people don't let you out, because the entry/exit is right at the stop light. Don't even try to turn left across 4 lanes of traffic during the day. I do recommend this place as a family friend place with yummy pub food.

Ordered takeout from Pat's for pickup. With the exception of the added eggplant I put on my pizza (it was breaded and greasy), I thought the pizza was better than expected! They didn't skimp on the veggies we added (made a custom 14" pizza, half sausage and half pepperoni, green peppers, olives, mushrooms). Overall great local spot for pizza!

Haven't been to a Pats in a long time as used to go to the one in Orono many years ago. First visit to this location and it did not disappoint. Pizza was delish and beers were ice cold. Plenty of tvs with sports and trivia going on. Our waitress was great and filled us in on the history of Pats. #stevensleavin

My wife and I have been fans of Pats Pizza for decades. Nevertheless, we have avoided this location for awhile due to the growing pains we have heard about. We decided to try it for the first time today. Not sure what to say .... nothing was wrong with our visit but nothing stood out either. The service was rudimentary and the food was decent. I like a pizza with a crust that is crisp and my pizza was quite doughy though.... especially considering I had no other topping besides cheese. We did try the tater tot appetizer however and it was quite good. I must say though, next time I am in the mood for Pats, I will stick with the Yarmouth, Auburn or Orono locations.

Not bad, but quite hard and not many for $9+.

Always good pizza. Good service. A solid five. Love the tvs and sports playing. Just no Fox News. I changed the station and was cheered.

Great Maine beer on tap, the pizzas are delicious (of course), service is prompt, and it's exactly the friendly crowd you'd expect in rural Maine!

My wife and I each started with the Caesar salad. Then she had the halibut and I had the divers scallops. Both dishes were very good. Our server was training a new person, but she gave us extra attention. All warranted. Overall a very good experience. We'd come here again.

We have consistently had great experiences here. Food is always exactly what we hope for when ordering and in some cases, exceeded expectations. The service is always very good. Pleasant, prompt and fun to interact with. The management and staff at this location, are always so professional and well skilled. They definitely help make it a great experience. The environment hasn't really changed - cozy warm living room feel. Upholstered furniture. Still very nice. It's amazing that it doesn't feel worn out, even after all of these years. In the colder days, the fire place and fire pits are nice. Appetizers have been consistently great. The favorites: fresh bread, crab cakes, calamari and meatball Main dishes - any of the specials they offer are typically great. The most recent one I had was the crab cake and burrata risotto. Any pasta dish is usually amazing and I love ALL of their dinner salads with so many protein options you can add. The desserts - the only one that I know and love is the chocolate cake. ALWAYS consistently good! Parking - street and behind the restaurant there is a lower lot - difficult if you have accessibility needs, as it's an angled driveway. Warning - it's a one way in and one way out lot! There are signs, however, I have seen some people either not see them or ignore them. Drive slowly. Reservations - Easy peasy via the Resy App! I highly recommend reservations even on days you think it might be slow. This place is a main hub for the town and surrounding towns for a nice sit down dinner that isn't too casual.

Chitarrucci neri ai frutti di mare (black ink chitarra pasta with seafood), however, was something I really wanted to have again. I was hoping that it would be as great as I remembered ... it was. We started with Cozze alla sambuca. I would not have thought of putting fennel or sambuca with mussels, but it was a good combination. The other players (shallot and herbs) were well balanced too. The Insalata de Cesare was fresh and well dressed, with a generous portion of shaved parmesan. The Chitarrucci was the star, with pasta cooked just right and plenty of mussels, shrimp, scallops, calamari, and clams. If I have to be picky, the calamari may have been slightly over cooked, but I'd order this dish over and over again. (I didn't taste it, but the gentleman at the next table had a beautiful plate of ossobuco, with the osso standing up in the middle of the risotto with a sprig of herb 'planted' in the marrow. He said it was great) If you're anywhere near Boothbay, make a reservation and try Ports of Italy.

We shared a Caesar salad, which was fine, but it was nothing memorable either. We each got our own entrees, which we hadn't been doing because it's usually too much food, and since we were on a road trip, there wasn't much point to requesting doggy bags like we normally would because we wouldn't be able to eat the leftovers. Unfortunately, neither of us finished our meals... they were both tasty, but we ended up leaving food on our plates. I hate wasting food like that. I think we'll return to our one-entree-and-share-it protocol for the remainder of our trip. That seems to be working for us. My chicken dish, Pollo con Funghi, which came with tomatoes, olives and mushrooms in a white wine butter sauce seasoned with basil, garlic and oregano, was tasty, but it was too large a portion for me to finish. There was also some squash, and we had ordered a side of spinach, too. I was very sad to not have taken the remaining food for leftovers. Would've been great. My husband ordered the Ravioli di Astice, which was lobster and ricotta filled ravioli in a prosecco and aurora sauce. Not sure what aurora sauce is, but when I tasted it, the sauce was delicious. My issue with his dish was that the ravioli was severely undercooked, and it was way too chewy... definitely not al dente. They simply didn't cook it long enough, which was a shame because the flavors were excellent. Big miss for an Italian restaurant. I suppose I'd give this place another try if we're ever fortunate enough to return to Boothbay. We definitely would have to agree on one entree between the two of us, though, so we don't waste food.
