This review is for their food and customer service for in-house dining. Like a fine wine - this place gets better and better everytime we visit. We probably dine here once a quarter. Service has always been consistently great. Friendly, prompt, detail oriented and caring about our experience. We have never had a bad interaction with any of the staff members. They are hardworking customer focused team. Good with children and elderly folks. The food has been consistently good, temperature, quantity, flavors, textures and presentation. We have tried their burgers, pizza, bowls and appetizers. We really like their brussels sprouts, including our 3 and 6 year old family members. There's a wonderful sweet savory flavor, a nice crisp to the outside and very tender inside. The burgers and fries are very satisfying and flavorful. Most recently I discovered (realized) you can add mac and cheese to a burger. It was yummm!!! The wings, are plentiful, crispy and juicy. Be careful, because the internal temperature is VERY HOT when they first arrive. The past few times we have been the restaurant was very comfortable, not too cold or too hot. They have the ability to accommodate the 6 of us with ease on the times we have gone. This is definitely one of the core options when we are in town. Great for our whole family. read more

Just for clarity, I only visited today for drinks with members of my family. That being said I am a bit stunned by my first experience.... and not in a good way. I took my wife and daughters here for cocktails to celebrate the holiday weekend. Despite a restaurant/bar that was fairly empty, it was impossible to get any member of the staff to acknowledge we were there. Once served, the drinks were excellent but it would be a very long time before anyone returned. Despite all four of us sitting with empty glasses for at least 20 minutes, the bartender and other wait staff or employees walked by us without even making eye contact. It almost became comical how we were being ignored. It didn't even seem like they were understaffed since we saw quite a few employees walking around endlessly but not seeming to accomplish anything... especially since the establishment was basically empty by the end. The final straw was when a lady who appeared to be an owner or manager arrived behind the bar. She walked by our empty drinks to have the bartender pour her a large shot of tequila (?) with a lime and down it in front of us and then proceed to chat with other employees who were doing nothing. When we finally paid our check and got up to leave, she looked at us and said something like, "thanks for coming, have a nice night!" Truly baffling. I have heard the food is good but I am having a hard time thinking of why I would put myself through that experience again. read more

Omg the best pizza downtown! I'm a fruit on pizza kind of girl. So I love the one with blueberry and goat cheese, AND the one with PEACHES!!!!!!! Omg. Service is great. The waitresses have lots of energy, and are very helpful. The new place in the Tontine Mall has lots of historic images of Brunswick on the walls. It's fun to go look. Very solid brewpub with good food. Located just off Main St, brickyard offers both super cool (literally) inside dining and outside tables. Pizza is decent, with lots of choices. Salads are quite good! And recommended. The wait staff and bar folks are typically young (Bowdoin college!) and inexperienced it, but super friendly and helpful. With a little patience you'll have a fun time and a good meal. Most recently I had the Cobb salad with salmon instead of fried chicken, and it was both very good and good sized. Last time I shared several pizzas and another salad- all good. The beer list is heavy on ipas, and you'll have to decide on your own if you like their style! Full bar also available but stick with the basics. Well worth a try, and one of my regular spots. read more

This was a nice little spot. They have a brewery in-house so it was nice to try some of their options. Unfortunately they didn't have their sour yet which was sad but the beer I got was still tasty. Always an issue ordering here. This time they forgot to put my meal in the bag. When I called they had it sitting there, 15 minutes away, no manager available to refund and too busy to remake. My burger was cold and chewy and dry and the cheese was rubber. I ended up throwing it out. Waste of driving 2 times to town for this mediocre food. This location is terrible. Stopped in for an appetizer and some drinks with friends. Good selection for those who don't drink beer. Decided on the pretzel with the dip. Others around us had the pot stickers that looked amazing. Server was nice but they were definitely short staffed. To be fair it was a Sunday afternoon and Bowdoin had not yet started. Stopped in for dinner, got seated right away and then waited almost 20 minutes for a server to bring water and see if we were ready to order. Placed the order and waited 40 minutes for a burger and veggie burger. It was not full and there seemed to be plenty of staff chit chatting behind the bar, the food was good but once it was delivered, no contact until the check came. Table next to us was seated after us, placed their order, ate, paid and left before our food was delivered. I came in on a Sunday afternoon, there were maybe 3 tables of customers so not busy at all. I sat at the bar top. Ordered a beer and some pretzels. Beer and food was good but I couldn't get any of the 3 servers to pay me attention to order another beer or more food. I said excuse me to two different servers and they just continued doing there thing. After about 20 minutes I decided to take me business elsewhere. If it was busy I would understand, but no reason not to check on customers for service. read more

We had kind of a negative experience with the Freeport Brickyard Hollow and decided to give the Brunswick version a shot, and it was worth it! The space is funky and fun, Larissa was a super server-even when it got busy. I enjoyed a cold Kolsch - just the right amount of malt. Wayne had a margarita (I wondered about that choice - in a brewery) which he said was very good. We opted for wings - buffalo & blue cheese. Sauce was just right and the wings were crispy. We shared a small pizza; sausage, mushroom & red onion. It was really good! Thin crust, cooked perfectly and right amount of cheese. Great experience at Brickyard last night. A friend recommended the blueberries pizza and the sweet potato pizza, two that sounded so unusual that I probably wouldn't have tried them without the recommendation. She didn't steer me wrong. They were both delicious. I liked that I was able to get a half and half and try both. My husband loved his maple bacon burger. They have a great kids menu, and my grandniece got lots of cherries in her Shirley Temple. The server, Villy was excellent. read more

Our first experience in this establishment. It's 5:00 on a Tuesday so it's quiet we've ordered our pizza and the drinks have arrived. The wife is drinking most of mine. The service is excellent and attentive. The pizza arrived hot and delicious with enough leftovers for another meal. Stopped in for lunch yesterday. Lots of indoor (and outdoor) seating and it wasn't busy so we were put at a table immediately. Our waitress was professional, pleasant and funny. We ordered the strawberry, bacon, and honey chicken pizza. Creative. Unusual. It was surprisingly (shouldn't have been I guess) sweet, hot, and yummy. I'd definitely get it again. The 4 vs 5 stars is because of the IPM selection. I just expected more. Blame this on my perception I suppose but also remember that 4 stars is NOT a bad rating. It's not even "average". I settled on the Black (and didn't finish it) and my friend got the Latchstring. Again - this is a matter of personal taste but since I'm posting the review under my name, it is my honest opinion. Came here for lunch after a fun time previously. Today didn't hit the mark, unfortunately. The Buffalo cauliflower bites we crispy but not hot. Not sure how that happened. And we were handed the cheapest paper plates of all time to eat our food from. We decided on a bunch of apps this time and while the breadsticks tasted good, and were hot, they came with some unexpected sweet flavored cheese sauce that was also not hot. I will try this place again, but the apps were nothing to be desired for a second try. One more shot, and fingers crossed that it's better on my third trip. Advice for the restaurant:if you're charging $11-14 for an app, can you please give your customers real plates to eat from. That was ridiculous. read more

I love Brickyard Hollow. I've gone to Yarmouth 3 times in last few weeks, and each time I've gone it's been outstanding. I've had pizza several times, I had the fish tacos and the sandwiches are great too. The service was great, in fact, one day there was a station playing that had a few songs with x-rated lyrics but as soon as we mentioned it, our waitress was mortified and it was changed in about two minutes!! read more

Supper at the new location of Brickyard Hollow in Brunswick, Main., The crispy yet not greasy Chicken Teriyaki Dumplings came sitting in a shallow pool of homemade sweet chili sauce. When they arrived, the aroma off sesame oil was wafting; they were cooked to perfection and neither the Teriyaki, sesame oil or the sweetness of the chili sauce overpoweredthe rest. The salmon-quunoa bowl was a lot more food than it looked with avacado and fresh greens at the bottom of rhe bowl. But the size of the bowl was too small to cut the fish or greens without spilling food onto the bar. The addition of the soft-boiled egg was a masterful touch. The meal was 100% worth the money and totally on point. I WILL RETURN! read more

Me and my wife travel for work. Therefore we like to eat good food and try new beers. This place looked good on the cover but turned out to be a disaster. Not because the waitress was new (she was great, running all over the restaurant) but because we over heard the table beside us that got to the place after us say " we are regulars" and then the bartender proceeded to start serving them immediately. After we had been sitting there for 15 mins. That is bad culture/customer service. Also, maybe hire more people or I recommend permanently closing. Because if it is the regulars you care more about, you have a bad business plan. read more

When I entered today I noticed a unique and interesting menu. Much of it looked delicious and the pizza I ordered did not disappoint. What really stuck out to me though was the work ethic of our waitress. It was obvious that with the rush she had so much on her plate but she didn't let us feel rushed or ignored. Food has always been decent but service not so much. During lunch the service has been good. A couple of times I have gone in for dinner. The staff is standing around talking, I go to ask a question and no one will ask how can I help you during which they are all talking amongst themselves.
