Tickets were $42 ($54 with a cocktail). There's a full bar and light snacks on board, plus a restroom. The sail lasted about two hours. There were only 25 guests onboard. This made the boat feel spacious and relaxed. The views were stunning--sunset over the Buffalo skyline, sailing past the Peace Bridge, and city lights on the way back. The crew was friendly and fun, and the captain went out of his way to chat and even raise the Bills flag for photos. Pro tip: bring a jacket or blanket, it gets chilly! I was lucky to come across this awesome business through a local event, Paddle through the Past for the Town of Evans Bicentennial. Lake Erie Watersports partnered with the Town of Evans for the event and donated some equipment rentals so people could participate. I greatly appreciated this because I myself don't own a stand up paddle board. I also admire a business owner who shares what they have and what they love with their community. Kris, the owner was very friendly and helpful. It was easy to arrange my rental and get the details of what I needed to do from her. She attended the event and was also a participant. This was my first time paddle boarding at 18 mile creek and I didn't realize it would be different than going in the lake. It was obvious she was the expert and gave some great tips on how to navigate through the creek because some areas are more shallow than others. If you want to try stand up paddle boarding it might be easier to learn in the creek if it's deep enough. The lake can get too rough quickly and it can be frustrating if you can't get up at first. You can park at Lake Erie Watersports or they can deliver your rentals to you. Your location must be within 10 miles of Angola. I highly recommend them for your summer outdoor rental needs!

She gave me a time to visit the store to discuss and educate me with options. This little store is buzzing with activity, but Marion made sure she gave me plenty of options to choose from. She was NOT pushy, which to me makes a good salesperson. As we discussed pros and cons, I made my decision to go with dry snorkel. Next, I asked if there was a place to learn how to use the equipment. She told me to meet her at a local pool to go thru instruction. She was patient as we went step by step on many different methods and I was water logged and a prune by the time we finished. Thanks to Marion for a great pre cruise experience that will allow me to explore the beauty that lives below the ocean surface. I'm even more excited now.

He is in the customer service business which happens to be a dive shop. ZERO concept of customer service. ZERO follow through on any promises made. I have visited the shop three times since moving here in July 2025. Each time Darryl makes promises about setting up courses, scheduling this and that, "calling me within two weeks." NEVER happened. Not a single time. During one visit he told me he would call within two weeks, but "if I forget, call and remind me." WHAT? Me call to remind a business owner that he neglected to call as promised -- so I can give him my time and money? No. It does NOT work that way. Be true to your word. Have common respect and courtesy for CUSTOMERS who pay the bills -- or go ahead and retire and get out of the business. I form productive working relationships with business that actually do what they say they will do. The last thing I need is another flaky, unreliable dive shop (or dive partner)! l'll search for, and affiliate with, another dive operator and avoid wasting more of my time at Discover Diving.
