There was a cash bar and our group had pizza & other snacks. They were pretty quick at the bar. There was seating on the trampoline netting, a few seats down near the bar, and plenty of room to stand along the sides. Just be careful walking since there's various spots where the floor changes. If you turn right, Medina Falls is just a short way down on the right, you'll hear it right away. From this vantage point, you're viewing the falls from above, from a bit of a distance. We could see many kayakers in the Old Orchard Creek itself near the falls. So there are definitely other access points to get closer to the falls, but it is still a very nice view from here. Plus you're on the Erie Canal Heritage Trail, so you can continue to stroll along the canalside for as long as you'd like. One very unique thing about seeing Medina Falls and the canal from this very spot is that Old Orchard Creek and the Erie Canal intersect near the top of the falls, but the waters do NOT actually touch each other. SUCH WONDERFULLY WEIRD ENGINEERING!! :-D What I mean is the Erie Canal itself passes over the creek. The creek flows underneath the cement canal basin to the falls, but the waterways do not actually flow together. You can stand at the point over top both, and marvel at this curious feat. You've just got to see it; it really must be a unique feature that is not typical in many other places, I would imagine. If you're looking for a nature activity with some strolling, some history, and a waterfall feature, starting here at Medina Falls would make for a fun adventure, for sure. :-D

My boat had a shifting problem for close to 5 years since I bought it and a different boat repair…read moreplace said it was impossible to fix the problem because parts were no longer made to fix the issue. Turns out that wasn't correct at all. Findley Lake Marine was able to fix exactly what was wrong and no new parts were needed. It had something to do with an electronic component that needed to be adjusted along with the shift linkage. One of the staff explained in detail the situation I was in and how they were able to fix it. The boat runs better now than it ever has and almost feels like a brand new boat! I would recommend Finley Lake Marine to anyone for their boat's needs. The staff are absolutely wonderful!

They offer a history tour, tiki boat ride, and a sailboat ride--just note the each sailing requires at least eight people to sail. They will cancel the door if they do not have eight people so call the J before to see how many people are booked on your sailing. I did the sunset sail, and it was fantastic. Tickets were $42 ($54 with a cocktail). There's a full bar and light snacks on board, plus a restroom. The sail lasted about two hours. There were only 25 guests onboard. This made the boat feel spacious and relaxed. The views were stunning--sunset over the Buffalo skyline, sailing past the Peace Bridge, and city lights on the way back. The crew was friendly and fun, and the captain went out of his way to chat and even raise the Bills flag for photos. Pro tip: bring a jacket or blanket, it gets chilly! I think it would be a great idea if they sold inexpensive blankets with the ship name on them for $10-$15. People would've bought them because it was cold and They would also make a great souvenir.
