What we were met with was in fact an adorable tank top... BUT when I reached for the tank top that I was looking to gift to someone was a giant ugly COCKROACH. I was absolutely appalled. When I told the cashier working behind the counter all he did was shake his head and say, " i'm so sorry about that". There was no urgency to find and get rid of the cockroach. He never even asked where the roach was. I know for a FACT, that the cockroach is still in that store. My family and I were disgusted, Absolutely NEVER visiting that Super Wings EVER again. I hope this establishment is happy that they lost multiple customers.

I'm writing this to express my extreme disappointment with my recent visit to Simply OBX, an…read moreexperience defined by what I consider to be blatant false advertising and a very uncomfortable shopping environment. From the moment we approached the store, the marketing was impossible to miss; there were easily 15 to 20 signs--both outside and inside--stating "Everything $9.99 or less" with "No Gimmicks." To make matters worse, a staff member greeted us at the door and explicitly stated that everything in the store was $9.99. However, once I reached the knife section, I found items ranging from $30 to well over $100. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was told those items weren't part of the "sale." From a legal and professional standpoint, this is a textbook example of deceptive trade practices. When a business uses the word "everything" in both its physical signage and verbal greetings, it creates a binding expectation for the consumer. Labeling high-end items with prices three to ten times higher than the advertised "everything" price isn't just a mistake--it's a bait-and-switch tactic that can lead to significant trouble regarding consumer protection laws. If the pricing only applies to specific inventory, the signage must reflect that by saying "select items" or "starting at," rather than making absolute claims that are factually untrue. Beyond the misleading marketing, the store's environment was unacceptably poor. It was incredibly hot inside with no audible sign of an air conditioning system running, making it difficult to shop for any length of time. I also noticed that the exterior sidewalk had been treated with a smooth gray paint that lacks any visible grip or grit; this seems like a major liability, as it would become a serious slip hazard with even a small amount of moisture. While the staff members themselves were perfectly nice and professional in their demeanor, their courtesy doesn't excuse the deceptive management practices or the lack of facility maintenance. I would strongly advise management to update their signage to be honest with their customers, as "Everything $9.99" is a promise they are clearly not keeping.

Eric and Robert are so fun and friendly, very no-BS guys who tell it to you straight. They made the class super fun and we were always laughing. Given the time of year, there were only 3 of us in class so it was nearly 1-on-1 instruction. I learned so much! I stumbled upon Absolutely Outer Banks a handful of years ago and I was impressed with the selection of locally made arts and crafts. Ever since, this is my go to spot for legitimate and tasteful Outer Banks souvenirs. In addition to locally made items they also have some vintage items and even some new items for sale. One item that this store specializes in is really cool resin windows that are unique and exude happiness. Absolutely Outer Banks has artwork in all mediums and in all price points. They have jewelry, wood signs, candles, prints, glass work, textiles, metal work, etc.  On my most recent visit I enjoyed looking at a vintage pin ball machine and eyeing up the beautiful array of Fiestaware. There is plenty of opportunity for ooohhhing and ahhhing.  The owner is super friendly so that adds to the overall great experience. Absolutely Outer Banks is centrally located in Kitty Hawk in the former spot of a bank.
