The vibe in the store is remarkable and very very laid back. They have offerings of ice cream, taffy, coffees, delicious looking fudge, along with other food items. They had something called a breakfast bread that looked so deliciously wonderful I had to buy it and try it and it was exactly as it looks it tasted remarkable. It was first made in the shop and all I can say is that again to the breakfast table with a group of people the next morning made for a lot of smiling faces. They also have knick knacks and souvenirs and various assorted other things in the store. This isn't to the point of being tacky but kind of useful that if you forgot someone in need to pick up a last minute gift to take home we can find something. Another independent doing well, I love it. What's a girl to do? When in OBX who is OB X does.

Now guys store number two located at door number 2 is for the guys. What I mean by this it's a SPORTS SHOP WITH EVERY TEAM! Yeaaa I had to go caps cause it was a paradise for the sport fanatic out there, from college to the majors ! One bad thing that I was not happy to see was Dallas Cowboys paraphernalia located next to my Eagles gear, and the stinkin Mets near the Phightins (that's Phillies for those who don't know) When I mean everything , I mean EVERYTHING from Nascar fanatics, to "Bling" for your vehicle representing your team. For the fathers to be this is your shot to get your little girl or boy their first bib with the your team. Football gnomes, decals.. I can go on and on. My favorite shop on Hatteras Island! They definitely got…read moremost of my "souvenir " money in the way of yarn and jewelry. Also bought some crochet hooks and an embroidery kit as a gift. Loved their yarn bowls, pottery, and jewelry selection. My friend also bought a $50 bag of self-selected discount yarn. We came for the yarn- they have two full rooms dedicated to it, with some nice name brands and quality fibers, some hand dyed locally, others from as far away as Australia. Broad variety of weights, fibers, and colors, almost had everything I was looking for. One thing I might suggest adding to the inventory is some beach-themed drop spindles and some roving (spinning fiber), grown and dyed in NC. We visited twice in the one week of our stay. The guy at the register is somewhat brusque but he's a hoot. The woman in charge of the yarn room was very sweet and helpful. There are two big well behaved shop dogs, but I recommend leaving your own pets at home, they are probably not allowed. All in all, we had a great time shopping and will be back next year- maybe with some of our projects made from the yarns we bought.

What we were met with was in fact an adorable tank top... BUT when I reached for the tank top that I was looking to gift to someone was a giant ugly COCKROACH. I was absolutely appalled. When I told the cashier working behind the counter all he did was shake his head and say, " i'm so sorry about that". There was no urgency to find and get rid of the cockroach. He never even asked where the roach was. I know for a FACT, that the cockroach is still in that store. My family and I were disgusted, Absolutely NEVER visiting that Super Wings EVER again. I hope this establishment is happy that they lost multiple customers.
