If you have a favorite fishing hole, then this is a fisherman's oasis! Dillon's is a nice little…read morepit stop in Buxton! It's stocked to the gills with everything for anglers! Bait, fishing poles, tackle and other fishing gear! You'll also find sundries, emergency gear, sunglasses, hats, windbreakers, waders, sunscreen and anything else you can think of to fill your tackle box, cooler or beach bag! But that's not all folks! Upstairs is a "reel" cool souvenir and beach shop loaded with towels, clothing, mugs, koozies, magnets, jewelry, candles and other great catches!! The nautical section caught my eye and I found an awesome lightly woven turquoise blanket that was just why I needed! They had some pretty decorative pillows, tons of lighthouses, mermaid décor, beachy pictures and signage, and loads of gifts and nautical souvenirs for the tourists and the locals alike! If you love Java... you'll love the coffee bar a latte! The beverage menu is appealing and the coffee concoctions are far from the daily grind! Unless you like a regular cup of Joe, they have that too!! So if you're in Hatteras, stop in Buxton and give this one-stop shop a gander! You'll fall for it hook, line and sinker!

Staff was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, their coffee was just awful. Their cappuccinos were made with 5oz of "espresso" pulled that is completely over extracted from a pre ground pod, topped with ~2oz of extremely scorched milk. Seriously the worst cappuccino I've ever had. And it was $5 per drink. If you need bait, fishing gear, or anything else, this might be a great spot, but if you see the giant banner advertising their espresso and think of coming for a coffee... steer clear.

I found the perfect size that can fit right in a pocket or on a belt if you're looking to rock it Fanny pack style but I think I saw ones with wings spans taller than the average man. The Outer Banks is an awesome deal spot to indulge your inner kid or your own kid and I would highly recommend this store for the products and the personable personnel. The gentleman working the counter not only had great taste in music but he included a very informative guide to kite flying for those of us whose skills are on par with paper airplanes. I immediately gave it to my husband when I got home so he can nerd out with the kids and the kites! P.S. They have all sorts of other cool things...especially the stickers!

Kelly wanted to but a tee shirt and maybe some jewelry and Mary was looking for island vibe stickers for her cooler and so ways I. It was very slow, there was one other couple in the store on this Friday afternoon. There were two staff people attend the store. I asked one of the gentleman about their products and he was able to answer my quesitons. I made my selection and as I was checking out, I noticed they took the touchless Apple Pay option. I have an Apple Card which I rarely use and decided I would give it a go. I've used it maybe two previous times with mixed results. I pulled up the card on my phone and asked if they took Apple Pay and they guy said, we take it no problem. I scanned the point of sell unit and I heard a beep and thought the transaction was going through. That was not the case, it didn't go through. The other guy who I think was the Manager/Owner came over. He said 'oh yeah' we do touchless transactions. I asked if there was a certain technique with Apple Pay. His response, was "well, that's an Apple issue, you will need to call Apple to figure that out" I was stunned, I've never been talked to like that in any customer service oriented situation. I will leave it at that but I will not be returning to Kitty Hawk Kites on Ocracoke . There are way too many other options where the Vendors appreciate your business and your patronage.
