This place deserves a zero star review for service. Nice atmosphere and view. Drinks were good, but get there for 1/2 price happy hour. Waitress, even though we tipped, didn't deserve the money. She could've gotten a lot more but was nowhere to be found. So we ended up getting our own drinks on a place that wasn't even busy and waited over an hour for our food. When I went to ask about our food and complain to my waitress ... security later called me up from my seat to ask me what was the matter. Now, mind you, we are all over the age of 60 which there were only 7 of us and my mother 84th birthday party. So we're not loud or obnoxious. They take your credit card and charge you before even seeing the bill and it wasnt itemized so that is sketchy. I'm done with that place. We made a reservation for 5:30pm. We arrived, on time, and waited at the host stand where 4 employees stood looking at an iPad and did not greet us. We were told our table was not ready and would get a text when it was. They directed us downstairs to the bar where we spent $50 on drinks and an hour waiting for a text we never received. We went upstairs to check on our table and we were finally seated, even though no text was sent, so who knows when a table was actually ready. Once we were seated we had to go to the bar and ask for server after 15 minutes of waiting. It was really off putting and we probably won't be back. However, the blueberry lemon drop drink was okay. Awesome view of downtown Buffalo. Staff were super friendly. Love how there's many heated lamps and fire pits up and running to help combat the chilly air at night. Cocktails were fantastic. We ordered French fries, fried Brie sticks and meatballs which were tasty and portioned well. Will come back! read more

We had reservations for six. Weather was on the cool side so we cancelled and went to the downstairs restaurant Vice. After dinner we wanted to go to the rooftop for a drink. Security refused us because I was wearing a very nice jacket with the Buffalo Bill's logo on it. Would they refuse a Buffalo Bill's player who had something on with the logo? I got the impression that either they didn't think that our group of six would spend enough money or we didn't fit the age group that they wanted on a Saturday night. First visit and might come back when it's summer and the patio aspect of the bar is more accessible. The drinks are on the more expensive side and the cocktail menu is not very original. I tried to order a drink from the menu and was told that was taken off a while ago and replaced....but did not update the menu. The room itself is very modern and simple. I sent a request RSVP email on a Wednesday for a Saturday evening birthday dinner reservation. Their website says you will receive a confirmation text msg. Cool no problem. So I follow up everyday Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to see if my reservation was confirmed for that Saturday each staff member that answered the phone continued to transfer me to a managers voicemail who does not come in until 4PM. The manager never called at all. I left a message everyday.However now its Friday and I need to know if my rsvp is confirmed or not so I can find another venue as this was a bday dinner for 7. So Saturday morning I speak with a staff asking how do I know if my rsvp for that night was confirmed? staff proceeds to say we have been booked for months, that's probably why no one responded. How unprofessional is that??? You have the dates open for reservations but your booked for months, why are those dates available on your website???? Also why don't all the staff answering the phone hold this same information, he says I don't know! I'm sorry. And lastly he said also our manager is TOO busy to call people back, WOW!!!! So once I mentioned making a review, then it was is there another date you have in mind. No idiot their birthday is today. Very unprofessional business in my opinion. The only thing nice about this place is the view! Hard to locate entrance since there were no signs. One elevator which you had to wait an extremely long time to arrive. Menu different from online menu and the things we wanted, they were out of. We arrived when it opened??? Overpriced inconsistent cocktails. Food was tasteless. So disappointed. read more

Place is very nice the dress policy is a bit outrageous. The line to go to the rooftop can be a bit much. I came wearing leather boots nice jeans and a $500 dollar Versace hoodie and the bouncer didn't want to let me upstairs because of the look of my hoodie. Drinks are a bit steep for Buffalo, but I think it's price accordingly for the atmosphere. I can't wait to bring Tammi with me next time. Went for a casual cocktail Saturday at sunset and stayed for over 3 hours! Yes, the drinks are $$$, but they are good and view makes it worth it. Aperol Spritz were good sized that $12 didn't seem like too much (almost like getting two $6 drinks). read more

I made a reservation for brunch on the rooftop back in May for July. It was an ad they had running. We met friends there only to find out the rooftop was closed! Not just closed for the day but they no longer serve brunch at all and they hadn't in weeks! We never received a cancellation notice, phone call, email--nothing. Mind you the ad was still running and up on their fb that day. Beyond frustrated, hungry and disappointed - we ended up eating at the other spot in the building because we were all there and hungry. I don't ever write reviews like this but this is a PSA for everyone, this had to be written. My friends and I came here on 10/24 after making a reservation for a birthday party. First I would like to say that they sat the six of us at a small window sill section with a small table that could barely fit us. We asked if we could have a bigger/open table to comfortably accommodate all us of and our food, and the unfriendly staff refused to move us as "they had no space" even though no one else came throughout the night at all and we asked several times throughout the night if we could have more room. My one friend was literally hanging off the corner. There was no social distancing enforced and our party was literally like 2 feet away from a second party. Secondly, we ordered food- three orders of wings and three orders of fries that took over 40 minutes to come out and it came out cold of course. Thirdly, going back to how they packed us in a very small section- because the table was so small the birthday girl's food ended up falling off the table and on her within the first five minutes. The host/security/bouncer (whatever he is) with blonde hair came to clean it up and then immediately said we had to leave in 30 minutes???? we literally just got our food like what? so we demand to speak to a manager because that was super ridiculous, also we were absolutely appalled and disgusted to smell the stench of alcohol on this host's breathe insinuating that he had been drinking on the job. The manager was NEVER brought over the dude came back after five minutes of doing who knows that, and simply said "lack of communication?" I don't think he ever called a manager so that's another thing that really upset us. I would like to point out that while this was happening NOT ONE STAFF MEMBER had even attempted to ask the birthday girl if she would have even liked her food to be remade!! She had to ask the host who simply said she had to talk to the waitress when she came back over. The second time around the birthday girl's food came out in under ten minutes, shocking. We watched the other party near us and no one received the same treatment as us, no one was ever asked to leave within a certain time and the host didn't go up to any table besides ours to cause these issues. We weren't allowed to walk around the rooftop to take pictures but other parties were allowed to stand and walk around without masks on!!!! One rude waiter was scoffing at us for even moving near the fire pit to take a picture... like no one explained to us that it was reserved? All the events we faced, it all feels very racially motivated? In general, the staff was very unprofessional and rude and I am looking to file some complaints over this horrendous experience. My friends and I will never come back as we felt so embarrassed and ostracized and do not recommend anyone coming to this place, please spend your hard earned dollars at a better rooftop bar that will treat you with actual respect, and have actual decent food and drinks. The waitress did her best I guess, considering she didn't provide us with any napkins or utensils or even come to check up on us so we had to get stuff for ourselves. I would give this place zero stars if I could- for ruining this birthday event. Please spend your time and money on businesses that actually deserve their customers, rather than those that advertise themselves as top notch only to be mediocre at best. We went there for brunch and we ended up waiting for our meal for an hour and a half the waitress never came back to us to help us out at all the food was cold when we got it and I went to the manager and they said sorry . TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! A few girlfriends and I decided to come have a few drinks on the rooftop,as we entered we were informed by the gentlemen that reservations were needed and that the current wait for entry was around 1.5hrs. Coincidently we had friends that had a section who had additional space for us,as they came down the GENTLEMAN voiced that we could not come up,he went on a rant about the health department and that he could not allow us up. No problem as we offered to go have a drink at Wxyz bar. However as we were walking away 2 other couples approached and the gentlemen mentioned to them the wait list but made it a point to make the other couples aware that they could have a seat at Wxyz bar and that if something opened he would grab them. I approached the gentlemen and asked him why that offer was not extended to us,after a few mins of back amd forth he asked me who I was referring to and then proceeded to tell me"if he knows the person then the conversation is different". I just looked at him in complete disgust and proceeded to leave. Luckily the customer service and professionalism at the Wxyz bar made up for his rudeness and unprofessional tone and behavior. Maybe a customer service reorientation would be helpful for this gentleman as when you are in the service and hospitality trade that you should be hospitable and fair to those frequenting your establishment. WOW, first time on the roof top. Despite the view this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. As you walk out of the elevator you are met by a couple of employees. Neither are smiling or friendly. They look you up and down probably checking to see if you pass their loosely written dress code. They then ask if you have a reservation. A reservation for the privilege to sit at the bar. Now I have been around the world a couple of times and been in bars in some of the largest cities and have never been asked if I had a reservation to sit at the bar. Once seated we ordered drinks only to find out at this high class bar your Old Fashion or Cosmo comes in a plastic glass. I don't mind spending $15.00 for a cocktail but I expect it to come in glass. We then decided to move to the railing for the view. Most of the rail was open so we were very surprised when we were asked to move for someone that had a reservation for that exact bar stool. With that we moved over 3 feet to another set of bar stools finished our drinks and left. By the way the people we had to move for because they had a reservation left after 5 minutes without ordering a thing. Upon leaving not one employee said a word. Not good by, thanks for coming or come again, nothing. In closing I'll add none of the employees seem the least bit friendly not even the bar tender who served our drinks. The rooftop is beautiful with such a great vibe and the wait staff was so nice (Joey and brooke). The reason I'm giving a 2 star review however is because the host, Matt, insured us upon making the reservation that we had a booth with bottle service. We had a reservation for bottle service at Soho prior to this one but since we were staying at the hotel, aloft, we thought this would be more convenient so we canceled our other reservation. When we arrived however, we were placed at a high top table. When you're paying for bottle service, this is unacceptable. We ultimately had to ask to speak to the manager (Jason) because instead of coming over to talk to us, he kept sending his poor wait staff back and forth to relay messages to us. When he came over, he came over hot and with an attitude. The entire time he was patronizing us basically telling us we were lying about the whole thing and "he doesn't know what to tell us" and called us an "inconvenience".
