This is a local favorite of mine! Their pulled pork is amazing! Their pork nachos are a must try! They have great happy hour with small appetizers, which for the price were decent portions! We tried the pork skins which were delicious! Some nights they have music. They recently remodeled to add more space and if you are going to a concert, they offer parking if you eat there. I have been to Patrick's a few times most of the time on the bar side which is always fun. This was a night out with my wife. The service was outstanding (if you can ask for Holly do so) the food was hot, tasty and good size portions. The 2 Lobster Crab cakes were generously sized and passed my test of "can they be eaten without tartar sauce". My wife's Fried Chicken breast dinner was more than ample for not only dinner but took some home for lunch the next day. The sausage gravy on top was a nice compliment and the mashed potatoes seem to be homemade. The Sticky Toffee dessert is a do not miss and is worth the trip in itself. read more

We travel 35 miles to eat here . The bar is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink and when they have a band its it's just that much better.The staff provides excellent service. The food is good but could be served hotter. I got the roast beef dinner and it was very tender and tasted out of this world. The menu items are reasonably priced. From the appetizer to dessert all menu items tasted excellent. The quality of every item was apparent. From the onion hooks which were some of the best anyone had reported tasting, to the ice cream which tasted like it came from a dairy bar, was all excellent, as was the haddock and the mac ad cheese. Stopped by Patricks with friends from out of town for a bite to eat after some good reviews from others who have been here. They were a bit off. Beer was warm, sweet potato fries were cold but Raven, our waitress, was very pleasent and accommodating. Food was average at best. I would give this establishment a 'B-'. Labor Day weekend and the wait was not bad. Tough to get your tab settled at the bar despite 4 bartenders. Food was good, everything seemed fresh and not processed or frozen. Waitress gave good service but was not overly friendly. Drink prices good, food prices a little higher. All in all a solid place to eat. read more

My husband and I both really enjoyed Patrick's. He got a burger and fries and said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had! I got the veggie casserole with hummus which was also very good. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offered a few healthy options on their menu, not what I had expected. Great local Irish pub! This restaurant/bar makes you want to come back again and again. The French Onion soup is great, flavorful- the cheese is browned slightly and served in a proper crock. I also ordered a steak which was cooked a perfect medium rare. Patrick's has a free membership card at the bar and has events going on all the time which can help you meet people in the local community. If I were to change anything about the bar it would be the lighting. A little better lighting would go a long way. read more

Is zero stars an option? We had heard a few good things about Patrick's, particularly the regular entertainment they have, so last Friday night we gave it a try. My wife and I sat at the bar near the pianos planning on a light dinner and a couple of beers. Things went downhill from there. It's astonishing that you can sit at a bar and be ignored by 3 bartenders. No excuse they were too busy, proven by the empty tables in the bar area and the fact we found two seats at the bar as soon as we walked in. Standing on the rungs of my bar stool and waving my arms I couldn't get a bartender to acknowledge us and take a drink order for close to 20 minutes (at which time I walked out to inform the host, to no avail). Finally, a menu and a beer, things are looking up, however she didn't return take our food order for another 20 -ish agonizing minutes and empty glasses, sitting at the edge of the bar hoping for attention. Food came in no time, but was dropped off so quickly we couldn't order a second beer to go with the sandwich. My wife finished her entire meal before the bartender could be bothered to stop by and ask if I cared for another beer to go with my sandwich (which was cold by now). Absolutely appalling service culminating in an abysmal dining experience. There are too many good restaurants around in the Gilford, Laconia, Meredith area, even some with live music, to put up with a business that has proven service is not on their menu. I live in Laconia and go to Patrick's fairly frequently and definitely recommend it. Not only is it great food, but the atmosphere is fun and inviting. Great for watching sports, listening to live music, etc. If you haven't done their wine tasting night, I strongly recommend it! The atmosphere is great. All of the waitstaff were friendly. Our potato skins were over cooked and our waiter seemed distracted but the restrooms were clean and the rest of the food was really good. We attended the bar on a Tuesday and it was pleasantly busy. This is a sure testament to the good time you can have there. read more

We tried a lobster roll here and, wow, was it good. Lots of nice lobster chunks. The mac and cheese also was great due to a nice blending of several cheese. Our drinks were delicious. Today's visit was not the usual 5 star quality we have come to expect from this restaurant. The server did nothing when I told him my meat was cold and my broccoli was cold two minutes after he brought us our meals. The broccoli was so cold the butter I put on top of it was still in the same shape and form when my husband was done with his dinner and when I put it in the doggy box to take home with us. The manager made it right, apologized profusely and did not charge me for my meal. read more

My Wife and I went to Patrick's Pub for our anniversary dinner. We have been there before several times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, food, service and live music. Husband and I went to Patrick's for a date night. It was a Friday night so it was pretty busy. We were told 40 minute wait for a table. We wanted to sit at the bar and it ended up being only 15-20 minutes for bar seats. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was great, with generous portions. Alright so I started off the night with some terrible service by receiving my Shirley temple with not even close to enough grenadine , almost tasted a little to watery. One thing I would like to point out in more of a post ice note is the nachos with pulled-pork were fantastic and was just about the greatest part of the night. Even though we saw a nasty review about this place, we had heard enough good things about Patrick's to give it a try anyway. Happy to say we were not disappointed with our visit. The place was spotless (never sure what to expect with a 'pub') and we really enjoyed our dinners and our waitress. The South Seas salad topped with their Bourbon Salmon was awesome and the Gluten Free Pizza was a very pleasant surprise (they even put our favorite veggies on it). The Lobster Roll was as good as they get. We would highly recommend trying their Sticky Toffee Pudding for a dessert - but don't order the big one unless everyone is still hungry - it was huge and delicious (more like a cake than pudding) with ice cream, whipped cream and a toffee or caramel glaze. It's always nice to find a good independent restaurant when on vacation. We will definitely return the next time we visit the area. read more

I went to Patrick's this Saturday for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. When I first walked in it seemed like I waited for nearly ten minutes to be seated. The hostess was visible, but looked to be busy with something else. The bar manager came over and seated us and was very pleasant and apologetic for the wait. We then had to wait a bit for the waitress to finally come over and take our drink order, but after that everything went very smoothly. There was live music, which was fantastic. I think they usually have live bands there on the weekend. I started off with the stuffed mushrooms which were very tasty and then had the steak and cheese sandwhich with some home made hummus...yum! My companion had the bistro salad with steak tips which I was lucky enough to try. Both were excellent. The waitress steered us clear from the hopscotch, which looked good, but suggested the sticky toffee pudding. I'm glad we followed her advice because it was one of the best desserts I've ever had at a restaurant. Overall it was a great experience and I plan to head back to Gilford to try it again. I live in Dover, so it is a bit of a travel to get there, but it was will worth it. read more

I have never been a huge fan of Patricks. It has always been just okay to me but my parents invited myself & my brother to have dinner with them. My brother wasn't going to come with us because the past few times he has been there he has had the same experiences that I have had.There are many other places, not far from there, to choose from that are consistently good with environments that are much more welcoming.Three out of 4 of us had the primerib, which was suppose to be $12.99 (School Night Special) on a Thursday night however, we were charged $19.99 each for a small cut of prime rib. My mother ordered medium, it came medium rare but she enjoyed it. My brother and I ordered ours medium-rare. There was no medium about them. They were just plain rare and very chewy. We expressed our disappointment to our waitress. She sent the manager over. The manager offered to bring them back to the kitchen and "cook them more". We expressed our concern that they would be even more tough at that point. Rather than offer us another a piece of meat, she coldly told us "thats what we do". We told her no thanks and preceded to eat just the outer edges of the meat. The waitress picked up our plates, with 3/4 of our prime rib still on the plates and again we expressed our disappointment that we couldnt eat it. A few minutes later, the manager came back over and said to me "Do you want me to remove the 2 meals off of your bill, is that what you want"? We were all taken aback by her bluntness, rudeness and unprofessionalism. I actually felt really bad for my dad because he was disappointed that we didnt have a good meal and dislikes any kind of confrontation. In response to the so called "managers" lack of professionalism, I told her that she should do what she thinks is right. She did remove my brothers & my meals from the tab but she never came back to say she made it right or to apologize for it. Nothing! Never again will I ever enter that restaurant & I'll be sure that anyone I know will hear my story so they can decide for themselves whether or not they want to chance it and possibly end up having to pay blown up prices for mediocre food and service. Just for the record, In my 51 years, I have NEVER complained about a meal before at a restaurant or felt justified for not paying for a meal that I ordered until last night at Patricks. read more
