I had some experience with makeup, but he was so encouraging and willing to share simple changes to my approach, whether it was holding tools differently, or showing me how to tightline my upper lash line so that I didn't feel like I was jabbing myself, and really fine-tuning the small movements that make such a difference. I finally learned how to contour my face to bring out my cheekbones, and he shaped my brows for me, explaining as he went along, about where to best place the arch for my eye shape and face shape. My husband was THRILLED when he saw me, and I was feeling very pretty for the first time in a long while. I was happy to spend some money on products to take home, and just placed an order for more, because the quality and results are really amazing. I had very large stubborn bags under my newly hooded eyes from several years of illness and medications, and the Pro-Youth Eye Treatment has ELIMINATED the bags completely in less than 10 days, and the wrinkles are already fading! The hooded portion above the eye crease is minimized even without makeup. I can feel the Pro-Youth Lip treatment working also, and I'm beginning to notice that my lip line has regained some definition. I'll be adding more of his products over time, the cream blush is beautiful, easy to blend and looks very natural, the eyeshadows are creamy and highly pigmented and blend like a dream, the gel lipliners are completely amazing, and the tinted primer was so pretty and dimensional that I almost didn't need any actual foundation, and it covered my rosacea! Nothing set off my sensitive skin, eyes or multiple allergies, and he was SO conscientious about checking all of his ingredients and doing swatch tests, I felt very much at home with him from beginning to end. I'll be back next time I'm in LA for sure!

My face is not the most symmetrical so my eyebrows aren't exactly the same shape unfortunately. He was able to fix them so that they looked more similar. Before the big day she touch bases with me a few times, which I barely got with other vendors for the wedding. She was very organized, prompt, and easy to get along with. She made everything less stressful and she made me feel so beautiful. She's definitely the type of person that will listen to you and give you her professional advice. And trust me, she's a PRO. I tried to spend my money wisely for the wedding; the choice to get Mili was one of the best decisions I made for my bridal party and myself. I guess this may be another review on yelp, but the pictures from my wedding day will be proof enough. Also, just had to add that I have really really oily skin and somehow I lasted the whole night with just one touch up mid-celebration by Mili herself; that is unheard of with my skin type. I got to focus on celebrating with my friends and family then worrying about my makeup slipping off. Thanks Mili for making me feel comfortable in my own skin and making me look my best on my wedding day!

I can't say enough about the amazing job Mili Simon did for me and my wedding party or put into…read morewords how big her talent is. Like the reviewer before me, I also feel like hiring Mili was one of the best wedding planning decisions that I made for my day. I was a very, very particular bride, and although I'd been to many of the top salons in the Sacramento area, I didn't feel like anyone that I'd worked with in the past could cut it for my special day. So I went online and did extensive research into the top stylists in the area, and I stumbled upon Mili's website and portfolio and was floored! Her talent is utterly amazing. I knew that someone with her skill and extensive background in the editorial world who also happened to have a background in the bridal world was the one for me. Our first meeting started off with a haircut and wedding day consultation. She not only gave me an amazing cut and style, but she was planning for the future by preserving certain areas of my hair that she knew she'd need for hiding extensions later on. Her knowledge and eye for all things beauty is insane. We then planned a hair and makeup trial a couple months before my wedding, which went phenomenally. She took pictures at every angle, which she then sent to me with notes so that she could get my feedback on anything that I wanted to tweak. Her attention to detail and perfectionism is what truly made me feel like I had absolutely nothing to worry about on my wedding day. A week before the wedding, Mili gave me a final cut and color. She brought me back to my natural dark color, which I hadn't been for a while, and I loved it. When my wedding day came, Mili was the very first person to arrive at my venue, literally. She showed up early and went right to work on making my bridesmaids, mom, and MIL look the most beautiful I have ever seen or could imagine them. All the while, Mili was doing everything she could to help with the flow of the other vendors and to keep me as stress-free as possible. Since I had a few wardrobe and hairstyle changes throughout the day, Mili stayed all day to not only style me, but to touch up my bridesmaids all day long. I think she actually became an honorary bridesmaid, because all of my girls absolutely adored her! She was my right-hand woman and my saving grace that day! Her calming and uplifting demeanor made me feel like all the little things that went wrong didn't even happen. I was also lucky enough to have Mili style me for my day-after shoot with my photography team, and they couldn't say enough nice things about her either. With her experience working in TV, print, and photo shoots (and working with tons of celebrities, I might add!), she knew exactly what shots the photographer needed and put every strand of hair and every fold of wedding dress and veil fabric in its proper place. When I changed into a different outfit, she whipped my hair from being down into a beautiful up-do in less than 5 minutes. She is a magician with hair. My now husband's hair is getting a bit thin on top, and she has this stuff that she uses to make it seem like he has the thickest hair, and it stays put all day--even through the 100 degree heat and sweat! I recommend asking about it if someone in your wedding party is self conscious about their thinning hair. I'm blessed to have gotten to know Mili and to have been able to use her enormous talent on one of the biggest days of my life. Since I knew right away from my first meeting with Mili that I would hire her, I didn't get a chance to shop around much so I can't speak to how her rates compare to other hair and makeup artists. What I can tell you is that she's worth every penny. And that hiring her will be one of the best decisions you'll make for your wedding or special event. Just take a look at her portfolio :)

Instead of a simple yes or no, I was met with attitude, passive aggressive messages, and an unprofessional rant that quickly spiraled into outright disrespect. I'm still trying to understand what was so offensive about asking a basic question that directly impacts whether I could book their services. Apparently, asking for clarification is now "rude and inconsiderate." The stylist went as far as telling me not to waste their time and accused me of not valuing theirs , all while avoiding a clear answer. Communication is supposedly "key," as they state in their own post, but it seems they prefer to lash out instead of provide basic customer service. If this is how they handle initial inquiries, I can only imagine what dealing with them on the actual day of your event would be like. Avoid this business at all costs, if you expect professionalism, clarity, or even just basic respect.

They were very accommodating with scheduling, and the studio itself has such a cozy and welcoming ambiance. For my first appointment, I went with a natural makeup look, and for my reception, I chose a smoky look. I especially loved how my makeup and hair turned out the second time, which I believe was done by Jessica. She understood exactly what I wanted and executed the look perfectly! Everything looked very polished and professionally done, and I could tell the makeup products used were high quality. What impressed me the most was how well everything lasted. My makeup was done at 8:00 AM even though my reception didn't start until 5:30 PM. Despite the long day, my makeup held up beautifully all the way through the end of the reception at 11:00 PM, and my hair stayed completely intact as well! I was so happy with the final look and received exactly what I had envisioned. If I have another special event in the future, I would definitely book with Credo Makeup Studio again!

I have really stubborn straight Asian eye lashes and it was always really hard for me to get a good lash perm. I had a terrible experience at a cheap asian nail salon in the Arts District. But Angelina's work is just awesome! She also treated me to an eyebrow clean up and the whole procedure is so much quicker than the regular lash perm. So I was super happy to see her again today for the second time in her stylish loft in Downtown LA. She does such a good job and is really careful so there is no burning sensation at all (I used to have that very often before when people would do the lash perm really quickly and be very rough and just getting all that perm gunk in your eye...).
