Makeup services: Glam Halloween This is the first of two posts, since I saw Natalia on two separate occasions, and Yelp said I wrote too much, lol. So, I met Natalia close to Halloween last year 2023, after my regular Halloween makeup artist had to cancel my makeup appointment for a very legitimate family emergency that required an extended stay out of the country. I was left without a makeup artist for Halloween, which was going to be a huge night - my husband's new band was premiering at a hot, legendary venue, and I had to be gorgeous. My personal makeup skills leave much to be desired, to say the least. So I decided to go onto Yelp, hoping that I could find someone in my price range who did good work, was within driving distance, and was available on Halloween. I came across Natalia's Yelp page, and was drawn to it by the fact that she was highly rated, and local enough (25 minute drive). I read the reviews, and they were glowing, especially with mentions of how the makeup stayed on for several hours after application. Reading on, I saw she was at the upper end of my personal price range, so I thought, okay that's doable, let's see some of her work. And then the before and after pictures sold me. Never have I seen anyone's profile, and I mean anyone, where the makeup actually made the clients look younger. I had heard that makeup makes you look older, or, at the very least, a beautiful version if your true age. Natalia had not just one example, but several where the client nor only looked amazing, but actually seemed to de-age. I thought, this is a miracle worker, the one I had been seeking, because I just knew deep down, a truly talented makeup artist can use makeup to make you look younger. I contacted her and let her know what I was looking for - a sexy vampire pirate captain look. I sent her some photos of ideas my husband and I liked, some of which were a bit gory (my other makeup artists worked on horror movie sets and specializes in special effects and things like that), but I personally liked the really pretty makeup ones. Natalia said she didn't do any type of gore makeup, but she could do a special Glam makeup that matched. Since that's what I mainly wanted anyway, I agreed, and she was actually available on Halloween, so we booked the appointment. Natalia is so professional yet very friendly with her communication. She has a very efficient deposit and payment system, and clear and fair policies regarding reschedules, being late, forms of payment, etc. I was very excited about the day to see what miracles she could work on me. When I met her, it was at her clean, spacious, elegant studio with lots of parking. She met me out front and showed me to the studio where she and I had a consultation about what she would do. Natalia is extremely cordial and friendly, which encouraged me to feel comfortable and just yap, yap, yap. She was engaging and the conversation never interfered with her focus. She only gently interrupted me when I needed to follow an instruction like "close your eyes," "look up," "shape your lips like this", etc. In about 45 fast minutes, she was done with my Glam look. I took a look in the mirror and I was stunned. I could not believe it was me. I thanked her and left. My husband said I looked absolutely stunning, and comments from the pics I posted on social media were glowing about my makeup and look of flawless skin. The show was great, and I felt smoking hot all night. The makeup lasted late into the evening/next morning without caking, flaking, or anything of the sort. Very satisfied. read more

I'm writing this review almost 10 hours after having my makeup done by Natalia. For context, it was a hot summer day in Los Angeles (about 90+ degrees and 85% humidity per the weather app). I was outdoors, having a photography session, running around, and even had dinner, and my makeup was still on. I received compliments and felt glamorous. I went for a glam with lashes look and I loved everything about it. My Mom (88 years old) also had her makeup done and my family loved her soft glam look. I was so happy with our outcome.
