She makes sure her students leave with nothing but the best from her academy. She gives you so many tricks, tips and tools that only a professional with her experience in this industry can. Disgusting behavior From so called instructors and students Make sure you know who you're booking with or you end up getting scammed!!! The fact that I've been doing lashes for five years and I have never ever come across someone in the industry, so unprofessional and so inconsiderate to someone that is getting married on Friday Either of the make up artist that were trained here weren't willing to make it work for me. One said she wasn't available to come and the other said she wasn't available to come either and she expected me to come to the studio and Downey, California when my hotel suite is Riverside, California the fucking audacity!! I don't care. I will review every single day because I can't believe that three days four days before my wedding my hair and make up girl had no idea what they had me down for , truly embarrassed for the owner of this business. I'm embarrassed for the students at this business that obviously get no customer service Prep . Do they not realize that planning a wedding is stressful , one of them could have been considerate and compromised for me. No I got charged $170 for a bridal trial. The make up was horrible and the girl did not even care mind you she was supposed to do my make up her friend was she was supposed to do my hair. I DIDNT GET FASE LASHES SISSSSS She didn't even do my hair then this other girl finally realizes oh wait I have you booked down never coNFIRMED with me. Never once asked me where the location was. this has been since July of this year. We're already couple days away from the fucking wedding and all of a sudden she didn't have me on her books She said she didn't have my $50 When I sent that shit back to her back in July As a professional makeup artist, you should've reached out to me and confirmed with me since the wedding is this Friday but instead she had disgusting nasty behavior I do not recommend this business at all business, but having to deal with employees or so-called employees that work there! read more

This review is long overdue.I took my first class at Glow back in October 2022. It was an SFX class. The teacher was Devin. She is an amazing instructor and she loves her craft. You can see it in her teaching. I've learned so much from Devin such as application, safety, and longevity of your SFX look. She uplifts her students. In the class I took, there were many beginners in FX makeup, but there were students who were already MUA's. In Devin's live demos of a makeup application. She spoke in such a way that even the newest person to SFX makeup would be able to understand and executed the look both in and out of class. Earlier this year 2023 I decided to take the makeup master course with Brittany. She is a phenomenal instructor. She is very strict and demands a lot out of her students which is to be expected from a master course instructor. She taught us time management and how to uphold the clientele's vision with the upmost professionalism. She goes into depth as to how to create certain looks from soft glam to editorial. She has many years of experience under her belt and she's willing to share her knowledge. All you need to do as her student is pay attention and ask questions. You can see the love of her craft in her teaching and in how she just speaks about makeup. I look forward to taking her seminar on bridal later this month. The kits that glow provides you with for each class are specifically designed to help you succeed in the class of your choosing. In both classes i've received some staple tools that I use in my freelancing kit. I am a licensed cosmetologist. I have 12 years under my belt, doing makeup now on and off for about 9 years. I took both classes to enhance my abilities and I've already seen it pay off. The staff is great. The environment is great your fellow classmates will not be seen as competition in this facility. They will be seen as partners, as friends, as your new MUA family, honestly, I believe that that credit goes to Roxanne, the owner (who is also an MUA) for how she runs both locations. She is very approachable and she wants nothing more than for her students to succeed and for her instructors to really love what they're doing. I thought I wanted to be an MUA but Glow helped me find out that wasn't the path for me. Nevertheless, the education I got there, the knowledge and professionalism is unmatched. Roxanne (director of education and founder) was so helpful in answering my questions before enrolling. As soon as I finished my TWO courses (that's how much I loved going to school there) i legit got a makeup gig. Being an MUA isn't for me but that doesn't mean I didn't get the skills at Glow to be one. Now, i can confidently glam myself up, cause i know what I'm doing. Glow is so dope that if you're serious about becoming an MUA, you can safely take your clients there without having to pay. My first experience with an SFX class was with Glow Makeup Studio in Downey. I recently retired from working as an RN in the Emergency / Trauma after 25 years. SFX has always been an interest for me. I called the studio and spoke with Roxanne, the business owner. We set an appointment for an interview and orientation of her studio, She was very informative and wasn't pushy with any sales pitches. She was honest, friendly and professional. Roxanne was so encouraging and approachable so I signed up for the SFX class immediately and honestly I was not disappointed. The SFX instructor / MUA Devin was amazing! She is a spectacular artist! Our makeup kits were generously supplied with the tools we needed with top of the line products and brushes. The classes were fun and informative and Devin was extremely patient and supportive from start to finish with me and each student. This class gave me the confidence and push I was looking for and I knew from the beginning that I made a perfect choice to break in to SFX! I have always loved makeup and applying it. But always was skeptical about going to just any academy. Then I found Glow on Instagram. When i reached out at first, the academy was in LA county and I was living in the IE, I wasn't able to get there for class. I remember asking Roxanne about other locations back in 2018-19 I think, and she only had the one, originally in Maywood, CA. So fast forward 2021, she opened in Corona and I reached out to enroll. It felt right and I don't regret it at all! She staffs her academy with talented artists and people who are very knowledgeable in the industry, and most importantly, eager to TEACH techniques that youtube tutorials cannot show you. Important steps in your artistry and overall, offers a family dynamic, and everyone learns to care for each other there. Not only did I take the makeup artist course, I also took the hairstylist course and both were amazing experiences. I worked with Roxanne, Adeline, and Devin all three super down to earth women and very sweet and encouraging. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't met them or attended their classes. I still keep in touch, that's what being a Glow Girl means Anyone looking for an academy to attend, seriously consider Glow, even if it's just to get hair and makeup done. Totally worth it read more

I do not recommend this place at all. They do horrible make-up. I had the worst experience! They applied so much make-up and made me look like frankenstein the shade they used on my foundation was way off also my make-up was so cakey. I had to drive somewhere else to get my make-up redone.
