I actually didn't have the best experience with a previous makeup artist before finding Betty. My first trial elsewhere didn't feel like "me," and they weren't accommodating with my early start time or flexible with adding artists for my bridal party. When I messaged Betty back in April for my January 2026 wedding, she responded quickly, was transparent, kind, and confident. She immediately put together a tentative timeline to make sure everyone would be ready on time and told me, "I can do all that for you!" and she truly meant it. My bridal trial with her was AMAZING. It took about four hours, and I walked out feeling absolutely stunning. I wanted a natural, bronzy look with a brown smoked-out eye and half-up, half-down flowy curls -- not too tight. I have a lot of insecurities (especially about my forehead), but Betty made me feel SO beautiful and confident. My hair and makeup lasted all day, and I was honestly speechless. I loved her work so much that I booked her again for my civil wedding in December. This time we did a completely different vibe -- bronzy, smoky, almost Zendaya-inspired with flowy boho waves -- and she nailed it again. She really takes her time perfecting every detail. I'm pretty quiet, but she made me feel comfortable, played music, and created such a calm environment while getting me ready. For my big wedding in January, I kept the same look from my preview (minus the spray tan this time -- lesson learned from my civil dress ). I was slightly nervous it wouldn't have the same effect, but WOW it was even better. My entire family, who had seen all my previous looks, said this was the best one yet because it truly emphasized my natural beauty. My eyes popped, my hair looked smooth and flowy, and I felt radiant. My hair and makeup lasted ALL day -- through dancing, sweating, crying -- and I only needed minimal touch-ups. It was not my fault they canceled - we committed them both based on the trial - if I didnt like the trial, I would have still paid it as that's how it works - we know this - BUT it was THEM who canceled. Furthermore, Both didn't need to cancel either, they explained the circumstances and one could still perform for the wedding - but apparently they cannot service the client independently. We would have been ok with at least one of them. I was told if I wanted to get my money back, I would have to give back the make up used in the trial. Really? this is how you run a business? So with little time to go and a budget - we are left having to find someone new. We found someone professional who actually has a contract - not just text message agreement that they can bail out on.
