In only 4 lessons my ball striking has improved. Patrick keeps the process simple. Keeping it simple in the process. He does not say his way is the only way. He adapts to your game. Each lesson he adds something new to the arsenal. his approach is unique than other instructors. Higl recommend Patrick to people who to improve in their game. Ed. yee read more

Let's get the rates out of the way first. Your swing evaluation (first session) is going to be $150. Then afterward, it's up to about $215/hr. You can get a better rate if you do a bigger package. Who is Patrick best for? In my opinion, Patrick will give the best bang for buck for someone who already has a gameable swing (scoring in the 80s to 100s), has decent body awareness, and is looking for an instructor who will notice the small details that are costing a player 5-10 strokes a round. Read the reviews already here and most of them are from people who have already been playing for some time. After a single lesson, I can already tell Patrick's attention to detail is superb. The day after my lesson (I generally have wavered between a high single digit and low double digit index), I shot +3 through 11 from the back tees. Getting to a 5 index this year seems realistic now. If you're completely new to golf, you can find cheaper instructors who will give you a basic understanding of the swing. They will generally all tell you the same thing, and it will likely take you some time to get your body used to the golf swing. Once you feel like you can make contact on 8/10 balls at the range on a consistent basis, or are scoring in about the 110s, then come in to Patrick to really mold your swing. For the love of God though, do not try to coach yourself through YouTube. read more

The match between swing coaches and players can, at times, be subject to a lot of different factors. I've had awkward lessons in the past from other coaches who it was just a bad pairing. But my work with Patrick has been encouraging, helpful, clear and understandable, and repeatable. For a full understanding, I've been playing off and on for 30 years. Been as low as an 11 index, but had laid off the game entirely for about 10 years. Getting back into the game in my early 60's means I have rust and physical limitations I didn't used to have. Patrick has been great at identifying the fundamental gaps I'd been playing with for, well, decades. Then showing me what needs to be changed, and providing repeatable exercises that I can put into practice to slowly build new habits. Another thing - like a lot of us, my head can be full of all sorts of swing thoughts and YouTube advice LOL Patrick has been great at encouraging me to clear the mind of all the confusing, contradictory swirl in my head and swing free. And to play golf, not play golf swing. Bottom line - yes, I've gained distance, consistency. I sort of figured any coach will be able to have positive results if I'm willing to incorporate what they teach. But what has been great is getting clear bite-sized chunks that is making the game more simple and enjoyable. My recommendation is consider Patrick as a good option as you begin to choose who you want to improve your game with. read more

I came to Patrick as a total beginner and couldn't be happier with the progress. After several sessions, I've gone from barely making contact to actually hitting consistent shots. He's incredibly patient and breaks down the fundamentals (grip, stance, swing) in a way that isn't overwhelming. If you're nervous about starting golf, go see Patrick. He makes the learning process a lot of fun. read more

I took a couple of golf lessons before Pat. Each session the instructor was trying to get my body to swing like the pros, and with that came a lot of jargon, uncomfortable adjustments (in terms of execution and lower back pain), and data overload (spin, speed, carry, etc, etc). The net for me was the data and adjustments were too vast, slightly overwhelming. Pat had a different approach for me based on my body (size, weight and flexibility) and age. He focused on working with my individual abilities. For example - he said go ahead and hit some balls. During this process he is asking some key questions in terms of feel and mental (what am I thinking, how did it feel, etc). With that data he would help make mental adjustments to reduce the noise to ensure the mental focus has precision. After watching and collecting data from my swings, he would incorporate one or two drills to fix flaws with MY natural swing; what's impressive is that he NAILS it. The adjustments are on point. So when I get to the course I can focus on 2 or 3 adjustments for my swing rather than trying to rebuild my entire game with 15 adjustments. He has an awesome eye, great techniques to adjust the swing and is really skilled at removing the mental obstacle in the swing. 100% recommend!! You go Pat. Golf swing rockstar read more

Patrick is an incredible golf coach and player! He is very knowledgeable and observant, giving relevant tips and pointing you in the right direction for whatever lacks in your game. My game improved dramatically after working with Patrick. I 100% recommend him to anyone looking to play better golf. He is the best coach I have had. Before Patrick: I was 3 months into golf when I went to Patrick and I was only comfortable touching my wedges and short irons at the time. I was making inconsistent contact with those clubs and was struggling at par 3 courses. I was getting frustrated with the lack of progress and was in search of some help. After Patrick: I'm hitting my short and longer clubs now with confidence and power. He made small tweaks to my swing that IMMEDIATELY unlocked the power and consistency I was in search of. I am very happy with where my game is at as a 5 month old golfer. I would always leave a lesson encouraged, empowered, and eager to play golf. I love the game more now thanks to Patrick's help. I am now playing 18 holes with friends. They are shocked at how much progress I have made in such a short amount of time. Lessons: He starts off by asking what your goals are which really makes you think about what you want to achieve with golf. What I liked was that he pushed me to think of goals that can be MEASURED instead of the simple goal of "hitting the ball". After the goals were set, he made it very clear that he was going to help me find MY swing, not Jon Rahm's, not my friend's, not a Youtuber's. That alone empowered me. After that, he sets a plan tailored to your goals and swing. Mental game: My mental game grew and this is what separates Patrick from other coaches I have worked with. I told Patrick I had trouble taking my game from the range to the course. At the range, I could hit the ball all day but at the course I would top it at times. We did a whole lesson on how to work through those mental blocks and how to stay loose. I saw immediate progress. Even my friends noticed at how much looser and confident I looked on the course. I am so grateful for that lesson. read more

I've been working with Pat for a little over a year and my golf game has dramatically improved. I got the golf bug after going on a golf trip with the boys and I knew I wanted to get better fast so I'm glad I found Pat. We did a swing evaluation initially. I then purchased a 10 lesson package because it was such a great experience. My swing was pathetic and I was shanking balls all over the place but Pat never made me feel embarrassed. I don't remember the package price but it was 100% worth it. Each lesson helped me build the foundation for a proper golf swing. He also helped me work on the mental side of golf and recommended a bunch of books. My goal when I started working with him was to break 100. My scores 120+ prior. It took some time but it finally happened and now the new goal is 90, then hopefully 80 after that. I enjoyed working with Pat so much that I even bought a package for my wife. If you need lessons, don't hesitate to come to Pat. Plus you get a really nice studio to work in. Once Golfballin' is done with the new build, the practice facility is going to be awesome! read more

Over a year ago, I started working with Patrick and I didn't know a damn thing about swinging a golf club. Easy to say I was a beginner from the very start but that didn't affect the way Patrick was able to show me the basics on how to get into the game of golf. Patrick was patient, mindful, kind and caring in every which way possible. I used to have an overall fear of being invited to play golf and being so bad that I'd never want to attempt again. After working with Patrick after merely 2 lessons, I had more confidence than ever to get out there and hit the links. The more me and Pat worked together, the more comfortable I felt about playing and now I'm never fearful of what people may think or feel based upon the teachings Patrick has shown me with just 12 lessons throughout the year. I fully recommend booking Patrick as a tutor for the greatest game based upon my own experience working with him. His methods, drills and overall mindset taught me not just how to swing a damn club but to not ever be afraid of going out and just playing. read more

I would highly recommend Patrick! I started to pick up golf during lockdown, but was new to it and needed a ton of help to undo some bad habits and form a more consistent swing. Patrick was able to help me build a swing from the ground up, focusing on single, simple things I could work on by myself that would build upon each other. I appreciate that he finds different ways to describe things that make sense to each person and how they feel certain things, rather than a one size fits all approach. Patrick has helped me get enough consistency to actually enjoy being on the course, and has created a foundation to where we can now work on the mental side and approach to the game! I've appreciated his patient yet energetic style and would recommend him to anyone looking to get better at the game! read more

Patrick is a great teacher and has helped my golf game tremendously. Patrick helped me figure out a swing that works for me and has also taught me a lot about course management and the mental side of the game. He has a great personality and teaches in a way that is easy to comprehend. Whether you are a beginner golfer or someone who is looking to up their game, Patrick is the man. I'll definitely be back to check in with him in the future as my golf game evolves! read more

Can't recommend Patrick highly enough. Have had multiple instructors and none have come close to the quality of instruction that I receive from Patrick. Among many other strengths, what I love about Patrick is: - How much he tailors his instruction to you, what feels good, and what is repeatable. He teaches you fundamentals, but always makes sure to mold them to your individual game. Thats rare. - He's super easy to work with. Patrick is a really fun, friendly, and humble guy who feels like a friend. He strips away any pretentiousness associated with golf and makes it fun. - He really emphasizes removing stress from the game and just focusing on having a good time. In this way there's a mental training element of his instruction as well that is just as valuable as the physical instruction - Unlike past instructors, he gave me the tools to diagnose issues with my swing based on what I see happening - Finally, he uses data to inform instruction in a much more focused way than anything I've seen before. I had my lessons with him at the golf spot in pleasant hill, which has a golf simulator with lots of stats on every swing. Patrick pays attention to all of them and gives you detailed feedback on why they matter, how to think about them, and how they're trending. If you're in the market for a golf instructor, he's your guy, regardless of skill level. You won't regret it, I promise. read more

I have been playing golf for over 15 years and have struggled to break 80. Patrick has helped me get to that next level by teaching me fundamentals of golf, identifying my weaknesses, and coaching me through the mental aspects of golf. I loved that Patrick was able to identify all of my bad habits and new exactly what to say to fix them. Towards the end of my lessons, we started to work on different wedge shots and shot shaping which has helped reduce risky shots. 100% recommend Patrick if your just getting into the game or if you've played it for years and wondered why your not shooting in the 70's. read more

Patrick was more than great to work with. When I first came to him, I was very inconsistent, typically shooting in the 120's. My goal when I came to him was to build a foundation and just be able to play the game more consistently. After two packages of sessions over the past year, I am now shooting in the high 90's and i'm very happy. Golf is not my main sport, and is more of a side hobby for me, so this was exactly where I wanted to get to. Pat was always very understanding of my goals and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Patrick for anyone looking to improve their game and gain consistency on the course. read more

After searching around for coaches, came across Pat. I knew after the initial swing assessment we would be a good fit. I wanted a coach that would give me more of a feel for the game then just straight up analytics. He blended both well and tailored my lessons to my unique swing. After ten lessons seen my handicap dramatically improve! Lessons have been over for a while now but still able to hit pat up to get me out of my head lol read more

Pat is an awesome coach! He genuinely loves teaching and I can feel how happy he gets when the light bulbs start to go off in my head. Before I took lessons with Pat I had been golfing on and off for the past ten years and mostly teaching myself by going to the range and a little bit of YouTube. Seeing where I am now after a few months of lessons I only regret not having taken lessons from Pat sooner. His coaching style is to encourage the development of your own swing rather than trying to fit you into the mold of some "pros" swing. I now have a much more consistent swing but also a better understanding of what I did when I missed a shot. read more

Patrick is my guy! He's been great with helping my golf game. We talked about my goals and he was able to tailor his coaching to me. He's been the best at understanding my swing and giving advice on small tweaks without overhauling everything to fit a specific swing. Definitely would recommend! read more

Patrick has done wonders to my golf game in the past year. From my initial call to him, and my first golf assessment Pat has been great at listening to my goals, and understanding the struggles I've been experiencing. The program regiment he set up was perfect and I saw improvements to my game after two sessions. By the 4th session, I was able to shoot my all-time best round in the low 80's. Pat is super personable, easy to talk to, and makes the training fun. The Golf Spot is a great facility and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Patrick as your coach/trainer. He's in high demand, don't miss out! read more

Patrick is an awesome coach! He does his homework and studied my swing on tape after our first lesson/swing assessment. He offered pointed and specific improvement items and drills which was very helpful during our next lessons. He also focuses on the mental aspect of the game which I've found to be extremely impactful in translating directly on the golf course. My game has improved greatly after working with Patrick and I highly recommend him. read more

As new to the sport, I had to learn the basics and figure out my swing. Patrick was patient and flexible with his strategies to help me stay motivated and continue to improve. After a year of lessons, I am capable of holding my own when playing with friends/colleagues. Golf is a hard sport with many different scenarios, clubs, terminology and youtube videos do not cut it, if you are new -reach out to Patrick. Patrick has been awesome to work with and excited to keep trying to lower my score (breaking 100 is normal now and can't wait to break 90). Highly recommend! read more

I found Patrick on Instagram, i reached out and he messaged me back relatively fast. We hopped on the phone and talked about where my game was and my goals, told him i had the shanks real bad. A few weeks later went in for a swing assessment, before I even pulled my club back he was able to see the first reason why i was shanking the ball so bad, my grip was all bad. He outlined a lesson plan both physically and mentally for my game and now i play with so much more confidence. Flushing iron shots over water without sweating..lol and chipping without worrying about skulling it over the green. This dude is a legit coach and a cool ass dude to hang around talkin bout golf and life. read more

I had an opportunity to train with Patrick before ever stepping foot on the golf course. Within six months he transformed my game from nonexistent to respectable. His approach is amazing and he focuses on both the physical and mental aspect of the game. I am very pleased with my progress and I am excited to see where I go next. read more

Patrick has been awesome! He tailors each lesson and really digs down on technique. The best part is he uses different tools to teach a specific part of your game. I came in thinking my swing was good but the way he has changed it has been very effective. I am already seeing some great results on the course. Go see Patrick! read more

I rarely write a review for anything but Patrick is worth it. I can't recommend him more highly if you're looking to improve your golf game. Before I started taking lessons with Patrick in March of 2021, I struggled to break 100. I was usually plus or minus 5 strokes of that. My lowest score ever had been a 92. I tried getting better on my own by hitting the range and playing lots of golf. Didn't work. Looking to take lessons, I was lucky to find Patrick. My goal at the start was just to break 90 and then start shooting in the 80s regularly. Within 6 lessons, not only did I break 90, I shot an 85. My buddies couldn't believe. The tables had turned. Now barely a year has gone by and my game has gotten way better than I thought possible. I never imagined I could break 80. Well, in March of this year, after only a year of lessons and hard work, I shot a 77! While I haven't broken 80 since then, I now have seen that I am capable of more and y new goal is to regularly break 80. None of this could have been possible without Patrick. He doesn't try to change your whole. He doesn't ask you to do things you can't. He can work with what you have, make subtle changes over time, but make huge changes in your golf game. Reading about others experiences with taking lessons from other pros, I get the sense that my progress with Patrick is unusually fast. I don't want to make you think he's some kind of magician though. You got to put in the work. So if you are willing to accept the journey, put in the work and want to make your game better YOU NEED TO GO SEE PATRICK NOW!!!!! read more

I have been working with Patrick for a while now, and have seen a dramatic improvement in my ball striking as well as my overall game. The lessons I have had with him not only focus on improving my swing but also on mindset to carry on to the course during a round. After trying 3 previous instructors I have definitely found in Patrick an instructor that is easy to communicate with and makes lessons and practice fun and something I look forward too. Every problem I have encountered with my swing on the course I have brought to Patrick and received an answer in multiple drills to work on in between our sessions that have always led to positive results. He has a true passion and love for the game and it's obvious in his teachings. read more

Only 2 sessions in with Patrick and my overall swing has improved dramatically. Working with Patrick, I couldn't feel more comfortable with a no pressure environment. Very informative! I got back into golf over the Pandemic to work on my game and my gf surprised me with a lesson with Patrick for my birthday in Feb 2022. I was excited but a little fearful to work with a professional since I knew my swing needed a lot of work. My fears were immediately alleviated during my first lesson with Patrick as I felt immediately like we had known each other for years as he has a very warm personality. In that first lesson, I took a number of swings to warm up and he immediately knew where to start working. I think he even laughed a little because he had an idea of what was needed for me and to me that was a sign of a guy that really loves what he does. We started with my grip and take back which was my first focus. Immediately I started seeing improvements on the range. The next few lessons I came back and to my surprise, he was preparing for each lesson looking at recordings of my swing the night before and being prepared with specific drills to work on. Always coaching with a positive attitude and reinforcement he really understands how I learn, what will work for me and how to get the most out of each lesson. He often texts to see how everything is going and offering to help anyway he can. My ball striking is much better and I've only played two times in the last 3 months but shaved 6 strokes off my score! I've already opted in for more lessons because he makes working on my golf game fun and I see the results. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is looking to improve their game no matter what your handicap is! read more
