Dr refused to provide treatment for a common condition that you can receive at any urgent care

Do not go here! The Dr diagnosed me without running any kind of tests. How to do you diagnose gout without getting bloodwork done and running a doing and join fluid analysis to verify? I was in pain for 50 days before getting MRI results back (ordered by another doctor) which revealed multiple partial tears in my knee. They then were going to do an "internal review" but stopped when I told them my lawyer was giving me advice. For your own safety please go to provider that will actually do the testing to find what is actually wrong with you! Its so dangerous to guess! read more

Absolutely going to you rob you!! One of the worst experiences and the bill was not covered by my insurance. All they care about is getting your credit card number to charge outrageous tests for simple things. The care was awful, I left because the doctor was more concerned about socializing than helping. This was by far my best urgent care experience! From the front desk, nurses, physician assistant , and lab tech. Everyone was very nice. The office was clean and the paperwork process for me was very easy considering I was a walk-in. I barely waited before being called back. They were very vocal and cared about what I had going on. The staffs are excellent, work efficiently. But their billing department is horrible. They billed to wrong insurance, and sent me simple text that they would charge my credit card almost $200.(yes, they keep my credit card info just like hotels) My employer is the biggest company in the area, and use the most common insurance company. I went to Patient First this morning for a knee problem. Checking in was easy. I waited about 5 minutes to get an X-ray. Lovely people, when I was waiting for the doctor they asked me if I wanted water while I waited. He was in the hospital for 5 days. I had gone fr a suspected broken toe prior to my son going and was told it was fine. months later I went to a podiatrist for something unrelated and was asked how I broke my toe because it hadn't healed correctly. While the treatment has always been great my frustration with them is the wait times. Every time I or my kids have been here there are multiple providers (md and NP) sitting at the computers. Talking on the phone or just avoiding making eye contact. Average wait is always between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours! read more

Nicest urgent care place I've ever been. They took many Covid precautions, and were very sanitary. I was a walk in on a Saturday and they took me in ASAP. The staff was so nice and understanding. I could hear them conversing nicely with other patients, which put a smile on my face. I went in on Tues because of a possible COVID, flu like symptoms etc. On the sign-in form it asks about fever and cough and I checked it off YES. I had tested negative for COVID at home but wanted to get a real test. When providing the insurance form, debit card (of course), I explained to the woman up front that I was also concerned about pneumonia. She was dismissive and told me to talk to the nurse / PA etc. They tested for COVID, Flu, and Strep throat. Here is why I am irate at them and myself - they did not check my chest with a stethoscope? Isn't that standard operating procedure when someone is sick or otherwise especially when I checked off the cough box. Now - 2 days later they want to charge me to be re-evaluated. My husband and I were very sick so we went to Patient First in Devon on 3/21/19. They took our insurance cards and told us they would charge us for the copay. But I come to find out that they lied and are not In Network and we are both being charged for 198.00. Before this visit, I had been seen in the ER. The doctor had tested for the flu and it came out negative. This doctor at this facility was obsessed with the flu and said we had it before he barely looked at us. I refused the test and my husband took it. I knew before the test came back that it would be positive and sure enough it was positive for the flu. The meds they gave us didn't work and whatever we had just had to run its course. Be careful in this place. Make sure you are in network and better yet, go somewhere else! read more

Took my son there on 3/16/19 due to a week of fevers, migraines & extreme fatigue. After a long wait was told he was fine, nothing to do. I had to insist on a throat culture and flu swab. Received results in mail over a week later stating "all clear". Meanwhile my son was so ill he went by ambulance to the hospital with a fever of 102 and dehydration. He had MONO! Called the Devon location to speak with someone about this, got the runaround and never called back. However, they made sure to send me their bill! My husband went there a month earlier with a bowel obstruction. Having recently lost almost 60 pounds by healthy diet and exercise he wasn't happy to be scolded by the physician on duty that he needs to "eat better". Doesn't even listen to what his patient is saying! As a nurse myself I can say we will never go there again and I will warn everyone of our experiences there. read more

I went here for a Covid test back in November and the experience wasn't awful but it wasn't great. I administered the test myself in the main entrance and didn't get my results for another week. I was fairly certain I had an inner ear infection and needed antibiotics. I went to Patient First because it is located very close to my home. I was very impressed with the facility... very clean and modern. The receptionist, orderly and doctor were very professional and pleasant. My only complaint is that I was left in the exam room waiting for the doctor for 45 minutes. In my opinion... that's way too long. I was actually going to give it 5 more minutes before leaving. I realize doctors are busy and one must have patience in these situations. But, I have encountered this without fail anytime I have visited a physician (even with an appointment). And, yesterday while I was there (8:00pm) it was very laid back and quiet. I think something that gets lost in our health care conversation is that even thought I'm a patient seeking medical treatment, I'm also a "customer" and I'm purchasing a service from your business. Especially in the "urgent care" space, there is a great deal of competition. I think if there was a slight shift in mind set toward good, old fashioned customer service, it would go a long way towards improving people's perception of the health care industry. This place's answer to all ailments is to send you to the ER. The whole point of me coming to you is to avoid the ER. But going to patient first they will have you convinced that you stomach bug is some rare deadly disease that you better to rush to the ER for. I took my 2 year old daughter here on a Saturday. She had a fever of 104.5, she was coughing, contested and everything. The dr examined her and looked at her ears (3 times). The first time she said that her one ear is infected. Then she looked at them again and said she made a mistake and the ear was fine. I was hesitant and I asked her multiple times if she was sure. She said yes. My daughter got worse, no better. I called her pediatrician Monday and brought her in and she had a NASTY ear infection. We have been here a few times, always seen quickly and professionally. A couple weeks ago I was grateful to get a positive flu test for my daughter right before the COVID lockdown in less than 30 minutes and got the whole family on Tamiflu just as we were confined together. We avoided infecting each other. It's always more expensive than a primary visit, but far less than the ER and they have all the tests including xrays and prescription on site. Would recommend to anyone. But for something serious or chronic, you need to make time for your primary. read more

worst urgent care ever received. routine test that results should be available in 10 min, waited 45 min for the dr to come , then literally spent less than a minute with me. no one was in the waiting room, or any other room I saw. then I asked for script to be sent somewhere that is open. they sent to cvs paoli knowing wayne cvs was open till midnight, causing me to run between pharmacies then be told paoli cvs filled because dr sent so other pharmacy couldn't have insurance cover. if they had taken 2 minutes to search what pharmacy was open it would have saved me an hour of running around at 10 pm. no medical instruction, not sure f DR even spoke english... will never return read more

First visit. Clean and efficient. Checked in, evaluated by the pa and X-rayed. Then I sat and waited for over an hour for the doc. All I had was bronchitis. He spent 5 mins with me. There were only two patients ahead of me. Obviously more complex cases but not emergency. They should prioritize simple cases in and out quickly. read more

After experiencing a pain in the chest/throat for 3 days, I figured I'd go get it checked out. After having me wait in the exam room for 40 minutes the Doctor came in, said I had something stuck in my throat and told me I need to go to the ER. No examination or anything. I went into Patient First Friday afternoon in excruciating pain from a slipped/herniated disc. I had a prescription for an xray from my chiropractor to help rule out any other ailment. The receptionist immediately dismissed the prescription and told me that the doctor on site would have to evaluate me. The male nurse comes out and asks me to step on the scale--are you kidding, I'm doubled over in pain and can barely walk. I just want an xray and pain med to alleviate the acute situation. Then a female nurse from another station--yells out, "That won't make it go any faster, mam!" Male Nurse takes me to room where I wait to see the doctor for 10 minutes or more. Doctor asks "why were you at chiropractor", really? Tried to present my situation as best I could and he agrees to an xray. Male nurse comes in and ask me to remove my clothing for the xray--I oppose because I can't bend because I'm in so much pain. Finally, Male nurse agrees to take xray with my pants lowered (it had a small zipper on back)--escorts me into xray room and I'm barely able to stand--when female nurse BANGS on door and demands male nurse "Don't shoot her" apparently until I remove my clothing. Now I've had it with female nurse and call her a "B****" . Doctor comes over and tells me that I'm yelling, rude and unprofessional. "You are welcome to leave if you want." Really? Finally male nurse and my husband are able to remove my pants and they take the xray. We wait another 10 minutes for doctor to review. He comes back and tells me muscle spasms but they still need my vitals and he will forgo the height/weight requirements. Wait another 10 minutes for him to provide prescription. Meanwhile, no other patient is in the facility! In total, an hour plus later I crawl out to my car with an xray and prescription in hand. No empathy from any of the staff members, as they're only interested in checking off the boxes for insurance purposes. NEVER AGAIN will I go or recommend anyone to go to this urgent care facility. read more
