This place was a great ice cream and coffee shop by the lake. It was a good day for us to go since it was so cold outside. My husband was watching some magician outside and I didn't wanna stay out. While waiting I just reviewed the ice cream, chocolates and other items in the menu When my husband came in, we both ordered two scoops on a cone. I don't quite remember what we had but it was great while we were just sitting inside. We also ordered espresso and I got hot tea. They also provided little papers with the password for Wi-Fi I have a recommend this place for dessert for coffee and tea.

Omg YUM loved the chocolate dipped cone with chocolate ice cream. Recommend this place! Was super busy when we went and we also tried their coffee here!

Best ice cream. Hazelnut.

They have chocolates? How would I know. We went there every single day we were in Queenstown just for the Ice Cream. OMG... Best flavors and best ice cream I've had in years. Go try some. Stand on line, it's worth it!

I'm just sad we went to Queenstown when it was soooo cold. Because us Hawaii folks have a hard time thinking "ice cream" when it's freezing weather outside and we have about 5 layers of clothes on! I'm so happy we at least stopped in one day. Oh my, our mango ice cream and chocolate sorbetto was SOOOOOOOOOO good. The chocolate was so decadent. I highly recommend a stop here. They have a variety of different desserts, something to please everyone!

Last day in Queenstown, so we decided to just walk around and check out the area. Since it was really cold, we decided to stop for some hot tea. This was the perfect place to take a break. Beautiful views of the lake and we sat by a window so we could people watch.

Very expensive chocolate and ice cream. There is a huge selection of chocolates in flavors I've never heard of. I could only afford a few pieces. You see the ice cream selection when you walk and and the chocolate counter is around the bend. I tried the dark chocolate, both plain and with pistachios. The flavor was complex and the taste of the cacao was strong. Very yummy indeed.

Queenstown definitely have a lot of great food options. But when it comes for desserts, Patagonia definitely stands out from the rest! Their chocolate icecream is rich, decadent and dangerously smooth. Best of all, you walk out the door and you're greeted with a gorgeous lake and mountain view! . Aside from icecream, they also have gorgeous pastries and fudge too! Definitely worth a stop!

We were only in Queenstown two nights and we had ice cream here twice if that tells you anything!! I had the dark chocolate in waffle cone one day and then the chocolate macadamia the next. The chocolate flavor is truly wonderful; I'm sure the non-chocolate ice creams are quite good as well, but if I'm fortunate enough to ever return to this part of the world, I'll probably get one of the chocolate varieties again! The cones were really good as well! Fresh and crisp! The make your own ice cream bar station looked like a lot of fun! The truffles and other chocolates also looked amazing!! Seating is a little limited, so be ready to walk with your ice cream! There are tons of places to sit along the water though, so this isn't a problem!

I still dream about their chocolate croissant (see pic below) as well as the waffle topped with smoked salmon and cream cheese. We found this spot thanks to tripadvisor and it was a 5-minute walk from the Crowne Plaza Queenstown, making it a perfect stop to grab breakfast before our tour days. This was actually the first restaurant we went to after checking into our hotel after a red-eye flight and to sit there and enjoy the view with our coffee was absolutely amazing. This spot was where we began to plan our trip BACK to New Zealand. Their larger location is just around the corner too!

The only thing I can say : "the best ice cream I ever eat !". I'm from Belgium and ate a lot of ice creams in many places all over the world but this one was the best ! I ate dark chocolate and almond taste and dulce de leche. The chocolate was very good but the dulce de leche my goooooood !!! Just AWSOME ! So if you have any desire in a sweet thing, just stop here. I just regret that they are only on the South Island and only in NZ...

Dark chocolate macadamia - tasted like rich chocolate mousse!

Last week, a group of us arrived in Queenstown for a much needed holiday. On our first night after a lovely walk around the botanical gardens, we headed into the main town in search of some delicious ice cream and Patagonia Chocolates seemed like the place to be. Located in a prime spot right on the waterfront, it is a bustling place, popular with the locals and tourists and there was a very long line! The ice cream choices are endless - my favourite flavours so far are their award winning Patagonia dark chocolate with macadamias (which had the same consistency and flavour as a rich chocolate mousse), the cream caramel and passionfruit. Staff are friendly and welcoming and worked well under pressure considering the first time we visited was Christmas Day! They also sell chocolates, hot drinks, a range of desserts and 'chocolate shots'. All of the chocolates were well presented and I cannot wait to come back and try a few. There is ample seating both inside and out. They also have free wifi, so just ask for the password when you pay at the counter. Overall, Patagonia was a great first foodie experience in Queenstown - I will definitely be returning!!!

You can make your own popsicle here or have ice cream. If you want a popsicle, you can pick a flavor, choose to have it coated with chocolate, and add on additional toppings. I decided on the ice cream instead because I have heard that New Zealand ice cream is rather amazing. They let you sample only two flavors. You have to choose both flavors at the same time because they put both flavors on one stick, one flavor at each end. I ordered the Patagonia white chocolate and hazelnut on a cone. The ice cream did not disappoint. It was creamy and tasted excellent. The cone wasn't that great however. The place gets pretty crowded. They have tables inside, but they are taken up rather quickly. There is a second floor lounge area, but very few seating. There is a spectacular view of the lake upstairs. The area is closed in the evening however.

I came here on Christmas day since it was one of the only places open, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their ice cream. We tried two of their award winning ice creams, banana split and tramontana. I liked the banana split better although the two flavors tasted pretty good together. They allowed us to sample 2-3 flavors each and the service was quick.

Small hot chocolate and a passion fruit truffle.

I was impressed with their selection - they had everything from hot food to groceries, to clothes, to postcards, and knickknacks. As a big aquarist, I had to get this cast iron bottle opener when I found it there. It's just so cute and it's really solid since it's cast iron. I ended up getting a hat too (not pictured) and it's also really nice. The staff were helpful and quite friendly, the only reason I'm docking a point is the prices are on the more expensive end.

This place is part café, part gift shop, part secret garden, and 100% charm. On one side, you've got coffee, pastries, pizza, flatbreads, and sandwiches. On the other, shelves of handmade goodies you didn't know you needed until now. But the real magic happens outside: there's a cozy dining area tucked away on the left, complete with 90s music, free wifi, and a super clean bathroom (yes, that deserves a shout-out) We tried the boysenberry almond pie and hazelnut brownie, which were absolutely delicious, not too sweet, just right. And the pepperoni flatbread? Crispy, flavorful, and totally worth it. Prices are very reasonable, too. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger a bit longer, sip your coffee, hum along to the music, and just soak in the small-town charm. Definitely a gem worth stopping for! This is the only restaurant you should visit in the area (we tried two others and weren't good at all).

Such a cool place. Of course I came home with a Hell glass. My friend who went with me loves…read moretelling people that he went to Hell and back with me. But the pizza is very good and the people are great! Enough of a beer selection to get by and not a bad atmosphere for a pizza joint. All in all I'm glad we gave it a try! See for yourself!

Spending a few days in Queenstown, we attempted to dine at some of the specialty, fancier dining…read morerestaurants, but quickly discovered either 1. most places were unexpectedly closed due to staffing shortages, or 2. they required a reservation. So, we decided let's repeat the previous night's pizza & beer takeaway, dining on the waterfront. Previously, we tried Winnie's; enjoying three small pizzas varieties, packed with NZ signature toppings. This evening, on our way back to Winnie's, we passed by HELL pizza & decided to peruse the menu. Creative, flavorful sounding pies, we decided to switch things up & dine in HELL the appeal was the enhanced toppings- a lot of pies were similar to the favorites we had at the other pizzeria, but there were a few more toppings on each comparable pie in HELL (and not just the Gluttony pie haha), plus the ability to be a Creator! Drool! So we ordered a Lust Deluxe snack-size thin pulled & a Creator (smoked salmon, calamari, mussels, mushrooms, onions, prawns, extra mussels, lemon pepper sauce) Oh, I am glad I don't live in HELL; mainly because I would be eating non-stop. The toppings were delicious-hearty chunks, well-seasoned, unique flavor combinations. The crust wasn't anything special, it had a light buttery flaky undercooked dough taste- wish it was a bit more oven charred crispy, but it held all the toppings well, without being too soggy, falling apart. Overall, would recommend!
