Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.3/5 Value: 4.5/5 A fantastic spot for any of your bakery needs. I personally had the Ferg pie, sausage roll, raspberry cheesecake, and their famous Boston cream donut. Honestly the Boston cream donut, but it was my least preferred out of everything I ordered. Part of the reason is that everything else was just incredibly delicious. Pick something you think looks/sounds good, and you won't be disappointed! There's no place to sit down in the bakery, so would recommend getting the food and popping by lakeside to enjoy the views if weather permits.

Since I was on vacation I just needed something quick to get for breakfast. This was one of the only places open so early so I went in to get something. The first time I went in, I ordered some sort of wrap from the glass display, and then the second time, I got the Beef & Cheese Pie ($8.60NZD). Both of the items that I got were really good. The croissant was filling and came out super hot. The pies are definitely what you should get from here though. The cheese was still so warm and melty, and the steak pieces are big and chunky. Service is quick and easy. They have most things already prepared so they can just grab it and heat it up if need. If you need to wait for something you just wait at the window outside so that people don't clog up the inside. If you're in town and just want something quick to get, this is definitely the place to go.

This was an unexpected surprise! Really came for the burger next door but stopped in while we waited for the food to be ready. They have a selection of pastries but what caught my eye was the meat pies. I ordered the steak and instantly deleted it. Sooooo tasty! I ordered another one it was that good. Highly recommended and to be honest, I thought it was as good, if not better than the burger next door lol. I'm here for a few more days and will be back before I go :)

Yum!! Stopped in to get some breakfast for our tour and it was packed! Loved the potato and rosemary loaf and the Boston crème donut was good as well

We went to this place everyday when we were in Queenstown. That's like 4x at least. I just love meat pies. My fave was the lamb pie, but the other ones are good too, the classic beef. Their pastries are good too! Boston kreme donut, croissant, brownie. Also tried their sandwich to go for our dinner Day 1 of Milford Track. Best decision ever. Service is fast. No seating inside the shop. So take it to go and either eat it outside on the bench or take it to the beach and enjoy the amazing Mountain View. I still dream about this place and had craving for the meat pies.

Forget the insane tourist lines of Fergburger...it is okay but...an hour for a basic burger???? Nah. Grab a pastry or meat pie next door and Fergbaker......walk down to Atlas pub and fetch a pint sit outside and enjoy the lake views. I had one of their legendary Boston cream donut....it is legendary. The cream is so fresh it is shocking. My pie was good...but there are better out there.

Garlic & Parmesan Focaccia, was dry and bready even when heated

Hectic. I walked by several times in the afternoon and evening, and usually there was a line blocking the entrance for Fergburger next door. When I tried ordering, there's no sense of order; it's get someone's attention whether you were ahead of a group or not and order. I only got two items: * Lamb pie: flaky crust, good amount of meat chunks in the filling. Recommend * Garlic & Parmesan Focaccia, small: hard skip. Was hard, and dry even when heated. The bread itself doesn't taste good. Maybe they have a few other good items but I got the impression to come for the pies.

Ever since I've been in New Zealand, I gained a new appreciation of pastries, pastries with meat in them. However, the CHILI AND CHEESE meat pie met and EXCEEDED my expectations. I am sad it is gone now, but I am happy I can go back tomorrow. I'd be here every day if I lived here.

The reason Fergburger is so delicious is because they bake their own buns in-house! And while I think Fergburger is overhyped, Fergbaker is UNDERhyped and overly delicious. If you do NOTHING else in Queenstown, get yourself a creme filled donut here. Grab one for yourself - and maybe another pastry or hand pie, while you wait in line for that burger. Then eat the burger, realize the donut was wayyyy better, and go back next door for another donut :) The shop itself smells amazing, service is great, and it's clearly a Queenstown staple for locals and tourists alike. Truly - one of the top food items we ate during our whole trip!

Soooo yummy. They have 3 vegan options- the sprinkle donut, an olive foccacia, and a black bean quinoa baguette. I tried the donut and the sandwich, both of which were absolutely delicious. I got the sandwich freshly toasted and the bread was heavenly. The vegan items are not labelled but the staff know what is vegan. The Fergburger line usually extends past the bakery so it looks really crowded, but the line inside is actually pretty short.

Fergburger is a Queenstown classic, but Fergbaker, right next door, deserves equal attention. I tried the chicken curry pie, and it was fantastic. The crust was perfectly flaky, giving way to a creamy, flavorful filling with tender chicken and just the right spice kick. The balance of curry spices made it rich without being overwhelming, leaving a warm, satisfying taste. Fergbaker's pies are a great alternative to the famous burgers, especially if you're craving something savory on the go. If you're visiting Queenstown, both Fergburger and Fergbaker are worth the stop--don't miss this hidden gem!

Great spot I went to multiple times. Pies and great! Boston crème was delicious. There is always a crowd, but you only wait if you order coffee since it's all espresso based. If you just want baked goods you can be in and out. Counter service and quality goods.

    The must get, meat pie!!

We were seated fast and ordered 2 coffees and pancakes with a pastry. My biggest standout were the pancakes, I'm a simple guy who likes my pancakes and they were oh so fluffy, chewy, dense and honestly that filled me up surprisingly a lot because I wasn't expecting them to be so big. They put real cherries and cream on top. The serving sizes are definitely generous. I recommend them for their breakfast and coffee, especially for the central location, great view and seating areas.

I ordered my go-to breakfast item, which is their Vudu Benedict ($30NZD), along with a cup of their Housemade Lemon Honey Ginger ($6). You order at their counter in the middle of the shop, and then they give you a number to take to your table. The tea came out pretty quickly, and the benedict followed maybe about 10 minutes after. The benedict was good, and while there was only 1 egg, the whole thing stuffed me for hours afterwards. The bread at the bottom was definitely the most filling part, and I was struggling to finish it all. They had a glass display with various bakery items, and they looked so good I was so tempted to get something even though I was stuffed from the benedict. If I ever come back to Queenstown I would definitely be coming back here to try some of those bakery items.

It's got bright colors, cartoon-y Cookie mascot, and merch everywhere. Cookie Time is a NZ brand icon, which is awesome! I loooove that they have gluten free options, and we found those in gas stations and convenience stores throughout NZ. However, our actual visit to the Cookie Bar was lackluster at best. The line was crazy long, the wait for cookies was long, and there were a few things that broke the magic: like there being "milk taps" but they're just for show - the milk is prepackaged. And you can see the rough-looking cookie warmer behind the station of unenthusiastic workers. The cookies and milk were good, but didn't blow our minds - maybe that's because we're used to fresh warm cookies like Sweet Martha's in Minnesota. There's very little seating inside so you have to take it to go or jockey for a barstool while everyone waits inside for their order to be ready. The brand and packaged items are great, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this to a friend heading to Queenstown.
