Ordered 3 doors and 3 windows 12/8/23. Was told by Patrick Miller 8-12 weeks. We put down a 50%…read moredeposit. After 5 months of having to initiate contact several times per week, our first door came in June...and the next one in July and the last one in August. We were told the painting would be done by Mobile Magic in O Fallon (the auto body paint shop) and he painted them himself - and not very well. It's September of 2023 and we have not seen a window...we paid him another 25% after the last door was installed with the promise that the touch ups to the doors would be completed and that he would drill the door bell holes that he forgot to do the first time he was here...and that our windows were 'on the way'. Nothing. Nada. Zilch Now he suddenly falls off the face of the Earth. He was terrible at responding prior to this, now he is non existent. There was ALWAYS an excuse...he was sick, his truck broke, the wrong door came in, his guys didn't show up - or better yet, he took TWO vacations while we waited for installs. I wouldn't even bother complaining, except my doors have 'lifetime workmanship warranties' and there is no paperwork for our doors, so if something goes south - we have nobody to contact to fix it from the 'company' who installed it. Here is the deal. He is by himself. There is no 'team'. The reviews online that are good are likely from his friends and family. Do business with Patrick at your own risk. If you want to see his work or the catastrophe of text messages and emails from Pat, let me know.

I hired STL Windows and Doors to replace 28 storm windows on my home because they were highly…read morerated. I was told that the windows would be fully custom to fit my existing custom interior windows, however, the storm windows I received are not custom and do not line up with my existing interior windows (see photos below). Honestly, I just wanted this fixed as it degrades the look of our home and is not what I ordered. What the company will tell you: 1. They tried to remedy the situation, but the company they use is no longer making storm windows so there is nothing they can do. 2. They apologize if the windows are not aesthetically pleasing or do not meet my expectations (disregarding the fact that they are not what I ordered). 3. They pride themselves on customer service, their reputation, and their customer's satisfaction. What I will tell you: 1. When I alerted them to the issue, they said, "It is what it is." They also told me that the storm windows only came in a 50/50 split (and not custom). I contacted the supplier myself and confirmed that the windows are available to order in custom sizes. When I told the company this, they said that they had reached out to the supplier and since they were no longer making storm windows, there was nothing they could do. I asked if there were other solutions, such as contacting another supplier, but I never received an answer to that. They also claim that I didn't tell them of the issue until the job was complete, but I told the installer (who happens to be the owner's sister) at the beginning of day two and her fiancé (the salesman) came out at the beginning of day three to see what the issue was. The job was not completed until the end of day three. I did not correspond with the owner until I filed complaints and contacted a lawyer. 2. "Apologies" aside, I must now pay another company considerably more money to fix the issue caused by STL Windows and Doors. 3. Their actions do not align with priding themselves on customer service. To outline a few of the particulars (without going into too much detail): they've blamed the original salesperson who no longer works for the company, they lied about the windows not being available in custom sizes, they then blamed me after I found out that they are available in custom sizes, a window was installed broken and has not been fixed. Please SHARE this with family and friends to help them avoid losing money to false promises. Thank you!

Fantastic experience with the Martin Door Company!…read more We just had our entire 27 year old garage door replaced with a significantly upgraded one. New upgraded garage door opener system also installed to replace our existing one. Now is Wi-Fi-enabled and has battery backup. This new system is whisper quiet, and oh so smooth and beautiful. Sales person Jeff Woody is a gem! The installer (Chuck, I think?) was very knowledgeable and professional. The whole process went without a single hitch. Thanks Martin Door!

(little annoying the "remeasure tech" was HOURS late but whatever) Got a call mid February, doors are here, we'll be there 02/24 to install. Again, great, fine. They show up, on time, said they wanted to re-measure to make sure everything was to spec. Um, ok - why wouldn't it be? They ripped off all of my door trim/casing and sat in their trucks for *90 MINUTES* without a word. Came back: "we have a problem". The brickmold is a quarter inch off - the manufacturer (ProVia) has a software problem and even though we gave them the correct measurements... blah blah, whatever. So, wait two weeks to get the corrected brickmold. Fine, stuff happens. 03/05! Called them 03/06. Guess what? STILL WRONG! No apologies, no anything. Wait two more weeks, no biggie, this is the way stuff works. March 20 it is! NOPE! March 16 and get an email that the manufacturers internet is down. No idea what that has to do with anything... how many times can you fail a customer and just tell them to wait two more weeks? Anyway, now I'm scheduled for April! Of what year I have no idea. Pathetic.

However, the process of obtaining a quote was indeed as easy as Zen Windows website makes it out to be; check out their website and watch the videos. I completed their form with the number of windows, approximate size and the requirement that the windows must meet a minimum efficiency. A reply was quick and thorough and above all easily understood and answers to questions were immediate. Dennis provided all the information needed should a permit have been required. Once accepted, Kevin came out within a few days to take specific measurements needed for ordering the windows. Within just over a month, we received a call asking if the installation could take place within 48 hours as they had an opening. Ed, Jimmy and Daryl were the installation crew who arrived promptly and you could not ask for a more conscientious and professional team. They seemed to get along and worked well with each other. Care was taken to protect floors and carpet, the installation and operation of the windows was explained, and clean up was meticulous. I had planned to shampoo my carpets after they were finished and Daryl did such a good job of cleaning up the floors I did not have to vacuum first! We had 6 windows replaced and opted for the Endure EN600 series double hung, Energy Star Certified windows. These windows were installed on a warm day in rooms that get the afternoon sun and it was immediately apparent that the sun gain was much lower than the previous windows. The wind is gusting today and there are no drafts! The total cost was a bit above some of the other estimates but after our previous experiences as well as the ease of the ordering process, the personable and professional installers- much less the quality of the windows- it has been well worth it.

Their seasoned installers were very professional, prompt, and respectful of our home. They worked hard to replace our entire two story home in one day before bad weather was supposed to hit the next day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting the best customer service and no pressure sales with a great buying experience.

Kaiti seemed knowledgeable and the process was fairly easy. We made our original purchase on 12/27/25 and were told they would be delivered in about 4 weeks. Well, 6.5 weeks later on 2/10/26 they were FINALLY delivered. KraftMaid seemed like a good quality cabinet but their manufacturing needs major help. We had TWO different cabinets that only had shelf holes on one side. One cabinet with a HUGE scratch on the front frame. One cabinet didn't have the drawer face connected and was sent separately without the proper hardware to install (it wasn't just simply screwing it in). One cabinet that had the wrong door swing. One cabinet the shelf holes started at 7" from the bottom and the other side 7.25". Makes great for level shelves. Finally our end panels for our island were ordered too thick so they would stick out. We went back to Hood's with the list of problems and Kaiti was very apologetic and said she would have everything fixed. We had already installed the 2 uppers without the shelf holes because we didn't notice it until we went to put the shelves in. She said since we did that already she wouldn't order new ones and instead give us a discount. We were ok with that. She also said we would get some sort of reimbursement for the other issues as well, she just needed to contact KraftMaid. Moving forward, the upper cabinet with the large scratch was reordered along with the end panels. She said expect them in 3-4 weeks. This was on 2/18/26. We did not receive the order until 3/26 which was a whole fiasco in itself because they wanted to wait until the following week because they didn't have delivery drivers. Luckily, someone outside of cabinets, I think his name was Matt and the only helpful one at Hood's, got my call and personally picked them up from the local warehouse and delivered it to us. He was awesome. Here's the next best part, Kaiti ordered the WRONG end panels AGAIN!! We're going on 3 months now from our original order date. We go speak with the cabinet manager, Randy, and told him everything. He said he had talked to Kaiti about giving us some reimbursement but she never followed through. Her communication skills were terrible. They only thing she kept relaying is that she gets to retire in several months. She should have retired before we purchased our cabinets. Anyway, Randy only offered us a reimbursement of $250 after spending over $14k on our cabinets. We finally got $500 out of him. Should have pushed for more but we were fed up at this point. He went ahead and ordered the correct end panels and said he would have them expedited and we should have them in no more than 2 weeks. Ha! Ha! This was 3/26 and our end panels finally arrived on 4/22. We will NEVER return to Hood's again. It was an absolute shit show. Almost 4 months for all our correct pieces to come in.
