Because she refused to renew our lease, we ended up homeless from April 2024 to February 2025. The weekend that we were supposed to move out, I was so extremely stressed out that I passed out and called 911 so that an ambulance could take me to the ER. When I passed out, I scraped my head on some wooden furniture as I fell to the floor so I was concerned about having a concussion. So we were unable to move out that day. That was a Friday. We move all of our furniture out the next day, a Saturday. We spent the rest of Saturday moving our stuff out. On Sunday, we were able to get 1 load of stuff out of our duplex. After dropping that stuff off at a storage unit, we stopped at a convenience store to get me some Power Aid to make sure I was hydrated because that was one of the reasons that I passed out. When we got back to the duplex to finish gathering the rest of our things, sentimental belongings from my parents, including a Dyson vacuum cleaner that I got from my mom and stuff that my dad had given me before he passed away. But Carrie had changed the locks on the door to the duplex so we were unable to get the rest of our belongings, even though I provided her proof that I was in the ER on Friday when we were supposed to be moving out. We're victims of domestic violence that's still happening today. As I said before, we lost my daddy very unexpectedly a few years before. My former "brother" is a major narcissist. I'm always comparing him to David Koresh because of his brainwashing capabilities and his ginormous fake persona. He moved my mom halfway across the country from us, to South Carolina. We haven't been able to talk to her in over 2 years now. She has dementia and his plan was for her to forget us and it's working. So losing things that she gave us before she was moved so far away from us is heartbreaking as well. But Carrie and McDougal don't care!!!!! I seriously do NOT recommend renting from them!!!!! We won't be notified when my mom passes and we can't go to her memorial service for our safety. We seriously need to move from Lubbock for our safety but we can't afford to move and all organizations that claim they help victims of domestic violence refuse to help us. We won't even get my inheritance. David Koresh Jr. is using it to pay for her extremely expensive assisted living facility in Myrtle Beach. He's lied to everyone who works there about me and they refuse to let me talk to my mom. But as typical with narcissists, he changes everything to make me out to be the villain and to make him out to be the victim. And no, we can't afford a lawyer to help us.

I have since changed my rating from 5, to 1 star. (5 stars before were solely from them moving me…read morein fast, they over charged my deposit when I was desperate and have been awful in every other aspect since then) Simply for the fact their maintenance department is criminally negligent, and derelictive of their duties. For over a year I have stated a need for proper maintenance and ventilation after a major leak was active for 3 months. 3 months of myself and another tenant fighting with them before being properly addressed and yet not even properly fixed ITS STILL LEAKING. Ever since then the area their vendor did not properly service has produced black mold, and has been spreading through the walls and ceiling visibly. I have let them know countless times since January 20th of this year when it's become evident to me it was affecting my health. I had told them my health and well-being were a concern because I was having big warning signs of black mold exposure, as well as there were visible signs of black mold. (Pictures attached) They sent a maintenance man out to service it, he was not qualified for this issue. I called them again because even more spores were present coming through the wall, he came back and confirmed with me it appeared to be toxic mold in his opinion. He also stated it was bad for my lungs. He let me know he would contact a supervisor, Jordan, and she came and also confirmed the issue. We talked about possible resolutions. She told me they would get back to me on what the owner says. That never happened. I had to literally fight with the 2 women in their maintenance department Michelle and Jami to get a call from a supervisor. Thankfully I was able to get her personal number and have been able to skip around their awful maintenance department. Do not expect a call back from them, even if they tell you they will personally. They will not. Multiple times that was stated, and never once did they follow up. They blatantly lied to me, multiple times during this process. I was told the maintenance man would be coming out with a test kit, he did not. Was told I was going to be called back by the maintenance department, I was not. Was told I'd be given an update on what the owner says in regards to ventilation and work, I was not. I've been more than patient and kind with them, especially considering I told them my health was in jeopardy January 20th, it is now March 30th. The owner of the building refused to put in a vent and send out professionals to service the mold. The apartment management were derelict of their duties and exhibited the worst case of gross neglegence I've heard of in a property management company around here. Especially when I've been as thorough and detailed as possible with them on the issue. I was never notified the owner refused to get anything done to mitigate the issue. They have ignored it to the point I was hospitalized with severe chest pains and shortness of breath when I do not have history of asthma or heart problems. In fact they told me this doesn't make sense because I'm overall healthy but there is definitely something going on. Mold exposure. So now my entire life will not be the same quality seeing as there is no cure for black mold exposure. I've been gaslighted by these lovely ladies for over a year now. I have had to deal with the mental and physical pain, and trauma of the neglect they left me to suffer with. I was begging for help, and even offered to get it taken care of myself. Told them I could have my employer come take a look seeing I worked for a licensed trades company. They ignored even that. I literally haven't received any form of apology or assurance that they would make it right. I truly hope this helps you make the decision to chose another property management company because in my opinion you and your family, your pets, your friends coming to visit, would not be safe under the conditions they keep the properties they oversee. You will not receive assistance even if you are telling them you feel like your life and well-being are in danger. They also cancel work orders without discussing any information as to why they are unable to perform their function.

PET OWNERS PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU MOVE IN…read more Our experience living at the Yorkshire duplex was fine, for the most part. Maintenance was ok (sometimes a bit slow to respond, sometimes tried to gain entry even when I hadn't granted access, and sometimes cut corners with repairs, but it was always done). When we moved in, there was water damage in 2 of the 3 bedrooms (so much so that the ceiling in the room below fell out), and in 1 of the 2 bathrooms. We did get refunded for the days that we were unable to use the full house. It also hadn't been cleaned when we moved in, so we had to wait while they did that the day after we moved in. The space itself is nice though; big open floor plan, tall ceilings, 2 car garage, and a backyard with a privacy fence. We had no issues with noise from fellow neighbors, so that's a plus. Yard maintenance is included, so is internet and cable. But here's where things go south... If you have a pet, you'll be required to sign an addendum that says if there's damage to the carpeting after you move out, they'll replace it at your expense (see attached image). We didn't think much of it at first because we have a dog who's completely potty trained, he's crated when we're not home, he rings doggie doorbells to go potty outside, and we even had a baby gate on our staircase so he didn't even ever see the carpeted upstairs! And still when we moved out we got charged $1745 to replace the carpeting when we moved out! They do NOT lift the carpets when you move in to prove that the carpets are clean and free of stains when you move in... so these must be stains from previous tenants and they are using them over and over again to scam new tenants into paying for stained carpets that they never actually replace! How would we get pet stains in bedrooms that our dog NEVER EVEN SET FOOT IN?! We have an impeccable rental history with all previous rentals verifying our dog has never damaged, stained, or defecated inside their properties... and now AG Rentals claims he's made $1745 worth of damages? Damages worth more than a month's rent?! Unreal! What an incredibly deceiving way to get more money out of you after you move out. So pet owners PLEASE BEWARE! Make sure you pull up the carpeting yourself when you move in if you need to and see if it's stained and take photos... We sure wish we had!!! ETA: Thank you Tricia for your email and response to this review. Apparently my review wasn't clear enough. Readers, we had baby gates installed at the top and bottom of the staircase, so our pets were PHYSICALLY barred of going upstairs. Our pets never saw the inside of the upstairs bedrooms. In addition, we kept the doors closed at all times because one was a baby's room. AG Rentals can exaggerate all they want but the "photos of excessive cat hair" refers to one photo of one (singular) small ball of fur on the vinyl flooring... Which we would've cleaned but AG Rentals policy is that no one has to clean on move out because the new tenant pays for a move-in cleaning fee.

The main issue was the water bill. My small one bed one bath was averaging at $10 a month for water. Afterwards, it shot up to $25 to $30 a month, even for entire months I wasnt there. Their "logic" behind this is "Well the water heater is always using water." Well then you might want to install new water heaters. On top of this, I am trying to move into a new apartment and the new apartment is asking for rental verification from AG Rentals. They tell them I have an outstanding balance of $30 for a water bill. My question is, did you not bother to try to contact me and tell me about this? NO!!! On top of this, the pool is never open, the laudry room is almost completely broken, and the exercise room is on the brink of becoming a storage shed. My only positive point is the maintinence guys, always prompt, friendly, and professional.
