Great good and an extremely friendly owner and chef. Yes, the food is a little under seasoned but you just have to ask for salt and pepper and the owner will gladly oblige. The tacos came with pickled onions and herbs and it was delicious. He's also serving veggie chilli which is pretty great for vegetarians to have some options. The homemade habanero sauce is amazingly delicious and hot. He sells by the bottle and it's $10 which is incredibly affordable. We loved how green the whole place is. Gave it a nice ambiance even though it really is a hole-in-the-wall. The owner mentioned his plans for wine tasting. I wish him good luck.

Nice little hidden gem tucked away on Gerard street. The first time we drove past this place I only caught a glimpse of their 4 tacos for $10 sign so we had to drop by the next time we were in the area. Their taco selection consisted of chicken, pork and beans which we tried all. I also got an order of horchata to help with the spicy salsa. The bean one was my favourite but I have a love for refried beans. Their meat ones were good as well although I would have liked it a bit more tender and flavour. I appreciate the lightly crisped shells. The order came with 3 different salsa and we ordered an extra spicy habanero one. They also lined the bottom of the box with some nacho chips! I have to say it was pretty filling. The owner(?) was very nice and offered us some freshly shucked oysters! Looks like they're renovating the place so we'd love to come back and sit down and grab a drink.

If you like ice cream and an over the top experience this is the place to visit. I never knew a…read moreplace like this existed in Toronto, although I've always been fascinated by the exterior of this place. This is a frozen dessert emporium! With more ice cream and frozen yogurt flavours than you can imagine. And at least 20 waffle cone and bowl options. Looking at pictures from last year, it appears the waffle cone options change regularly as well. But they don't give you just any ice cream cone. They surprise you with additional toppings! How to feel like a kid again (except my kid who didn't appreciate the extra toppings). When we arrived, there was no line and I thought "why are there three people behind the counter?" From that point on there was a line up out the door. The place itself is a feast for the eyes. There is so much to look at, it's hard to focus on eating. Although ice cream and frozen yogurt are their specialty, they also have Dutch goods, popcorn and a wide variety of drinks. It does feel like a European cafe in the middle of Toronto. Fresh air blowing through the open doors. One interesting thing I learned is that the ice cream is kosher (the frozen yogurt is not?). Someone mentioned it was outlined somewhere on the outside of the building. Also, the only negative feature of this place is the number of bees both inside and outside. As someone terrified of bees, this was a nightmare. Thankfully, there is so much sugar around that they don't focus on anything for any significant length of time. This place is a gem in the city. It does not get enough recognition. You love ice cream? You need to check this place out!

Even with that there are 3 or 4 tables for to enjoy treat and about a dozen Jones and waffle bowl options to choose from. They even carried hard to find speculoos cookies from Holland, a childhood treat, that I 'scooped up' and appreciated. Staff was super friendly and happy to be serving, which was extra nice. A treat and special place for certain, but worth a stop by when your nearby.
