Such A Disappointing First Visit .....The Service Fell Short…read moreI wanted to give this place a fair try, but my first visit unfortunately left a lot to be desired. I waited nearly 30 minutes for my food, only to find out my order had been lost. I was then told I would have to wait an additional 20 minutes for my meal. The only response I received was "I'm sorry," but there was no accommodation offered, no refund, partial refund, extra item, or gesture to make up for the inconvenience. By that point, the disappointment with the service was through the roof. I ordered the pepper chicken with pork fried rice and a side of tostones (fresh fried plantains with garlic butter), although I was hoping for sweet plantains instead.I explained that but apparently it didn't register to the person who took order. The food itself, it was very underwhelming. It's hard to tell if the service impacted my experience, but I can honestly say my first impression of the food was just average and not what I expected. Unfortunately, this was not the experience I hoped for on my first visit. Will I give them another try? The jury is still out.

Def recommend as one of the very few Puerto Rican places in the area. Ambiance was great with island decor and traditional/contemporary puerto Rican music playing as expected. They have large speakers and it looks like they have an area for live music. -We got a plate of mofongo (plaintain dome) with chicharrón meat (fried) that wasn't on the menu yet. Amazing. -A REAL piña colada (NOT a mix from a bartender bottle) -Get the side of veggies. Puerto Rican food doesn't have many of those, and it's nice to see a side of steamed vegetables on the menu. -The entree comes with a side of rice and beans which were also divine. Highly recommend everything we ordered and can't wait to visit again. With limited options for Puerto Rican food, I'm delighted to find authentic cuisine here at Sajori. The owner used to work in the hotel industry back home in Puerto Rico. It was very nice connecting with them as they checked on us.

Family-owned, very clean, with plenty of colorful decor. I felt right at home sharing this meal and chatting with the staff. We ordered 2 Cubans, the small size, 2 empanadas, beef and chicken, with fried plantains and a Tamarindo and Guava juice, followed by their homemade flan. The Cubans and empanadas were very flavorful. That pork was delicious, and the bread toasted nicely to crunch a tad. You know it's good when you gotta clean the mustard and pork juice out of your beard afterwards. The empanadas were fairly big, with a perfectly seared, crusty masa, so tasty. Plantains were big and crunchy, which we broke into half and savored every bite. We washed it all down with the homemade Tamarindo and Guava. The flan fell flat for us but didn't take away from the experience of the meal and flavors. Very rare to find a Cuban this good so close to home.
