Found this on Yelp as I was driving down 287 around lunch time. I told the guy at the front that…read moreit was my first time there and asked his opinion on what I should get. He said most popular was the 4 taco plate with beans and rice. I got 2 al pastor, 1 asada and 1 chicken so I could try a few different meats. They were all good but next time I'll get all pastor. Texture of the meats was great and flavor good as well. Tortillas were good. Star of the show might be the three salsas they brought out to go with the tacos. My favorite by far was the middle one which is a spicy green tomatillo sauce. The creamy jalapeno one was great as well. The rice was good. Nothing special, but lot of places dry their rice out so much it's not very good. This was cooked well and flavor was good. Beans. I LOVED they were not refried beans. I believe they're called charro beans. They were cooked well and taste was great, especially with some of that grean sauce on them! You could tell the cilantro, onions, lime were all cut recently because they were very fresh. I just moved offices and will be passing by here at least once a week so I'm excited to give them some more business! Very good.

I love trying different cuisines and local restaurants. It's byob, so if you bring wine, bring a glass or cup if you don't enjoy styrofoam! So many things on the menu I wish I could have tried, but I they are closed m-w and I leave Thursday! Service was wonderful, menu items explained and recommended. Ambiance, just a strip mall place, but does it matter with food that good?

Located in unassuming part of Wylie/St.Paul the restaurant is smack down in the middle of the strip along other places I wanted to try. I ordered their Carne Frita con Arroz. Flavorful chunks of pork which came with fried banana, rice, and beans.. Even though I've never had an actual Puerto Rican food, I expected a whole lot of flavor just by reading about cuisine. I really enjoyed the carne frita and thought it is almost similar to lechon kawali (Filipino dish) but this much leaner part of the pig. Service was very friendly, they'll answer any question you might have especially if you are unfamiliar with the names of some of the dishes. This is a family ran business, you'll feel that upon walking in. Very homey and welcoming. You'll be transported to PR while dining here.
