Very cute , pinky little cafe, located at almost the end of st-Laurent street. Easily miss it Went there last week. During the afternoon, it's quiet crowed. They also have brunch menu during weekend, which I haven't tasted it. It's a very photogenic place. However the coffee, the cakes tasted average, not outstanding.

ONE OF MY GO-TO COFFFFFFEEEEEEE PLACES in town because of the Ubisoft parking next to it, I just go there by car all the time, even though there are no parking next door, it is fairly easy to park around the area so it's quite chill. Coffee is like chameleon at Pastel Rita, just like the palette of pastel, always changing in hues and lights, I love it! Affogato, espresso, coffee cocktails, name it! Simply in love with Pastel Rita!

Friendly staff, amazing space, cool outdoor seating, DELICIOUS coffee and baked goods. A bit expensive but worth it!!! :)

Made Here. New to the hood cafe with consciously sourced, mostly locally, product. Fresh muffins and croissants. Soup. Barista coffee, tea, hot coco. Beautiful bright space., (was La Castiglione's space) shared with a sister biz; "bouquet", three artisans; a milliner, a leather purse maker and a jeweller. Great ambient music. Great vibes. Check it.

Overall: definitely worth visiting, especially during warmer months. SERVICE: We went ridiculously early in the morning like 10am and were the only ones there. The lady was nice to us and tried to explain their menu to us. Explain because there was NO ENGLISH ANYWHERE. I know MTL is a french-dominate city, but I really expected some sort of a translation...Still, she tried to help us, but I could tell her English vocab was limited so my bf and I just chose what we thought would be good... and ordered 2 drinks. ***NOTE*** Their drink menu is NOT with their food menu. You can find their full drink menu on their tables. I wish she had pointed that out because I would've loved to have tried their Matcha Latte that others recommend so highly... When we went, the bar where we ordered at was also the only place for the lady to make the food. We could see our food being prepared freshly, which made the experience great, despite the lack of English. The food would also come out one by one, so our food was never cold. FOOD: Even though we could not read an ounce of the menu, the avocado toast I had was AMAZING. One of the best one's I've had, and they really did not skimp on the avocado at all. It was 1 giant slide of bread cut into halves, which sounds like it might not be enough but it totally was. We also ordered a croissant which we also recommend, that definitely helped us be more full after our meal. My bf ordered the Egg Mess. It is an odd dish that she never explained to us in her limited English so I thought it was going to be some sort of egg omelet but I was so wrong. It was a poached egg on some sort of a creamy pudding with bread sticks. To me it tasted like celery and I wasn't a big fan, but my bf actually enjoyed it more than he thought he would. So if you are adventurous in your food, give it a go. If not, do what I did and stick with the avocado toast ;) You can't go wrong with it! DECOR/SEATING: Let's be real, one of the bigger appeals of this space is the decor and all the color. It does not disappoint. It added some nice vibes to an otherwise dreary day when we went. I will say though, that the nice vibes only extends to 3 4-seater tables which is head to toe in pink. The bar is a nice forest green. And then the rest of the "seats" uses a knife display as a table. So if you want a good seat, definitely go early!! OVERALL: Recommend! Food was good, latte delicious, vibes were positive, and in a good area. Worth visiting at least once :) (Use UBER to get there.. it's kinda far from DT MTL.)

I love cafes and I love creativity even more so when I heard about this amazing concept I had to take the time to visit. Located in the heart of the Mile-End, Pastel Rita is not only a Third Wave bright little café, it is also a creative space for local designers (hi Bouquet!). I arrived around 9, and it already had a group of people brainstorming and enjoying coffees. I ordered a Moka and a croissant, both were very well done... I stayed a while and looked at the trendy work around (I will definitely go back to get a few items). In short, I enjoyed everything about my experience, from the welcoming Dalmatians (yep, you'll see) to the decor (the fixtures are on point), I'll go back for sure!

Service was very good this time. But the grill cheese doesn't look at all like the photo a posted a few months ago. The grill cheese is mostly bread with butter , almost no cheese at all. The matcha latte was good. The chairs are super uncomfortable.

It's a grey day, but it's pink inside.

Definitely one of my favorite spots in the mile-end. The soft pink walls and forest green paint detailing gives the cafe a girly yet odd Miami Vice feel. This cafe is study friendly. However, some might be distracted by their AMAZING choice of music for their playlist. The last time I was there , people, including me, couldn't help signing along with Etta James (i.e. sharing an "at last" moment). Coffee is on point, food is vegetarian and vegan friendly and this place swaps coffee for wine later in the day.

You can see why everyone comes here to take photos. Everyone digs the '80s meets millennial pink aesthetic. I haven't had any food from here but I can say that the drinks are good. The beet latte was pretty good surprisingly! They even sell assorted merch here, like oat milk, mugs, various artisanal coffees and even bags and wallets!

This place is awesome and quaint. It's a small coffee bar inside an artist collective. There is art, jewelry and a hat maker along with an exceptional espresso menu and local pastries from the bakery down the street. The best part is they also have a parking lot, so you don't have to look for street parking. Sebastian is awesome! Great barista and conversationalist.

Great coffee shop and more. It serves cocktails in the evening and brunch on the weekends. The place has amazing style and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It is so mile-end, but without the attitude of mile-end. I strongly suggest you try it. So far, the brunch and coffee are regulars for us. Enjoy!

Probably the definition of an "instagram café." The interior is so colorful and just darn cute. Got a chai latte with alternative milk, which was good and fairly priced. You can also get some lunch items that include vegan options.

Very cute cafe in the Mile end! Very original and comfy place. Went in the afternoon and we got the last table available. Definitely would recommend to try out and to go in the morning!

It can get busy and the lines form out the door, but the pastries and coffee are worth it. We ordered the chocolate and pistachio filled croissants and donuts. I would rate both chocolate and pistachio filled croissants a 9/10 and the donut versions of each a 7/10. I felt the croissants tasted better and had more filling. We ordered the Remix which is authentic freddo expresso, cafe crema soft serve and topped off with hot frothed milk and chocolate. This was a 10/10 and was every bit of amazing as it looks in the picture. Service was fast and friendly. One note, they don't have flavored coffees, so I couldn't order a caramel latte, for example. Overall, great coffee shop that we enjoyed every day during our stay.

We ordered a hot chocolate, cappuccino, tiramisu, and an affogato, and every single item exceeded expectations. The hot chocolate was rich, smooth, and indulgent without being overly sweet -- pure comfort in a cup. The cappuccino was perfectly brewed with bold espresso flavor and beautifully textured milk, exactly how a great Italian-style coffee should be. The highlight of our visit, without question, was the affogato. It was hands down the best I've ever had. The pistachio gelato was unbelievably creamy, nutty, and flavorful, and when paired with the hot espresso, it created an unforgettable balance of temperature and taste. It was truly out of this world and worth the visit on its own. To finish, the tiramisu was light, perfectly layered, and not overpowering -- a flawless end to an already incredible experience. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and authentic. Café Olimpico isn't just a café -- it's an experience. Exceptional quality, consistency, and passion in every cup and dessert. Highly recommended, and absolutely a place we'll keep coming back to.

My husband and I went to Cafe et Crepe for breakfast on our latest trip to Montreal. I got the roast beef crepe ($15.95) which comes with roast beef, bell peppers, cheese, spinach and usually onions, but I asked them to omit it. My husband got the turkey, cheese and egg crepe ($15.95). All savoury crepes come with a side salad. I asked for the dressing on the side and was told that's not possible because the salads are pre-dressed. Bummer because I find pre-dressed salads over-dressed for my tastes and double bummer because the dressing contained poppy seeds, which I can't eat :( Food was not wasted though, my husband ate my salad, lol. The crepes are regular wheat crepes not the buckwheat Breton-style crepes. They were tasty though and I liked that they were not stingy with the fillings. The peppers in my crepe were nicely al dente and were plentiful. The roast beef was deli meat, but there was a good amount. I had a taste of my husband's crepe and it was good too. The turkey was also deli meat. The salad had kale, carrots, red cabbage and corn kernels. My husband thought it was ok. It was drenched in dressing. Service was satisfactory. The ambiance is very casual. There's a television streaming sports. It's in an aged building that it shared with other businesses such as a spinning or was it Pilates (?) studio. The washrooms are up a flight of creepy stairs in the building (you have to exit the back of the restaurant). The place seemed to be popular with tourists. We sat at the front away from the crowds, but the back was full. They also have outdoor seating if you prefer to dine Al fresco. Street parking only, which I imagine would be a pain to find. We were carless on our trip so just walked there. (114)

It's really hard to mess up a crepe because usually the stars are the ingredients inside of the crepe. The cafe in itself doesn't look like much, but it was full of people, and they make a very good crepe here. I ordered something you don't normally see in menus, and that's a mochaccino. Whatever chocolate they use it is fantastic, really good quality. I'm thinking about it in lamentation because I know that unless I make it myself, I probably wont stumble across one as good as that was. Then came the crepe. It had goat cheese, mozzarella, spinach, and egg. So massive that I was already full by the time I ate half of it. It came with this sauce or Dijon dressing that knocked my socks off good. Also tried the sweet crepe and that was amazing as well. What a delightful breakfast before a full day of activities in old Montreal! I'd highly recommend it.

What a little oasis in the city, loved my experience here!…read more I stumbled across this cafe while visiting and I could tell it looked like a popular local spot. There was a small line but the wait was short. I ordered a cappuccino and a BLT bagel sandwich. Both were really great. The cappuccino was one of the best ones I've had on my trip. The beans they picked were good, and the milk was steamed perfectly. The BLT bagel sandwich really caught me by surprise. I honestly wasn't expecting too much. They did such a good job balancing all the flavors and it didn't feel like a heavy sandwich like some BLT sandwiches can be. The general feel of the cafe is very cozy and comfortable. The window in the front let in amazing light, making the cafe such an inspirational spot (would be amazing to spend a day in there working). There were also plants everywhere and the greenery is such a nice touch. They even had fresh flowers on every table (so rare to find these days). The staff were super friendly. You ordered at the counter, get your number for the table, and the staff members would bring you your food. I was there in the morning and everyone had a smile on their face. The space seemed to uplift everyone's mood in there. I had such a great first time impression of this place and I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.
