Wow. This is a MUST stop in the Palm Springs area. The food is so fresh, so delicious and the family that owns it could not be kinder. Also they have incredibly amazing vegan and vegetarian choices. We tried the amazing empanadas (traditional Venezuelan empanadas from corn dough that are naturally gluten free ). They had various meat fillings that sounded amazing. We had the vegan lentil and chickpea ones and they were so well spiced and flavorful. We also tried the arepa which was the best arepa I have ever had. My husband who traveled in south America said it was the best he has had. We had the patacones , made vegan with black beans, mushrooms and eggplant and everything was incredible. Their house made juices were soo good and interesting and not overly sweet. Everything was made from scratch. The conversation with this Venezuelan family was the cherry on top. We are so happy we found this place for our short vacation here.

What a cute little Venezuelan place! Very clean! The owners Jesus and Daisy are super sweet and accommodating! And the food is simply delicious between the empanadas and the Arepas and the patacone, yum! Yum! Yum! Also very affordable! I've been there two times and I love it. I will continue coming back!

If you're looking for great empanadas and arepas, then head over to PasteListos Venezuelan food at the corner of Tahquitz & Sunrise in Palm Springs. You might be familiar with their great tasting empanadas if you ordered them at the Villagefest street fair in downtown Palm Springs on Thursday nights. PasteListos opened a permanent storefront just a couple weeks ago and we love going in to support a local business. Best empanadas we've ever had! Recommendation: (1) Shredded Beef Empanada (2) Potato & Cheese Empanada (3) Ground Beef Pastelito

Jesus and wife are very passionate people with an exceptional way to treat people and serve the Best Venezuelan food. Feels so good and welcomed every time we come here . This is a Jewel in the desert! Love this place

It is a triple digit weather today so we were looking for something quick and tasty. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a friendly man and his daughter (?). They patiently answered our questions and gave recommendations. We ended up ordering the chicken patacon sandwich which they did half with cheese and half without - so nice! I've never had a plantain sandwich before so it was a surprise of sweet + salty flavors. I loved it! So delicious. We also got the beef, chicken, and potato + cheese empanadas which are made with cornmeal - wow! First time I've had these kind of empanadas as well and was delightfully surprised by the crispiness of them. The fillings also had good flavor and the sauces were a perfect accompaniment. We also had the passion fruit and sugarcane lime drinks which were so refreshing. If you're ever in the area, I would def recommend!

Genuine Venezuelan food is hard to come by, and family owned shop brought back nostalgia and fantastic food to my Venezuelan born boyfriend. The shop owner (the father) was so incredibly hospitable and made it feel like eating with family. We basically got one of everything and made sure to come back during the last day of our vacation to bring some goods home. The shredded beef arepa had so much flavor and was a generous portion. The cornmeal was super flavorful and the meat was tender. The patacon was hot and stuffed to the brim with slaw, tender meat, and warm cheese. Highly recommend you give them a try!

The service was top tier as soon as I stepped in the door. We were greeted and welcomed and asked if it was our first experience with Venezuelan food (it was). Through the entire time we were there we were catered to as if we were part of their family. I felt at home to be honest so the ambiance was 10/10 including the decor. Now, the food.. 10/10. We had the pork arepa and it was cheesy and the meat was SO well marinated, seasoned, and cooked. You can actually see into the kitchen and watch them make it. We got 2 empanadas: potato and cheese (my fave) and beef (savory). We tried their tequeños and they were amazing and cheesy and crispy. For desert we got a pastelito. We opted for the guava and cheese and again 10/10. Finally, our drinks. We got what is essentially their aguas frescas--a papelon (natural cane sugar and lime) and a parchita (passion fruit.. my FAVE). I can't wait to go back soon.

The customer service is great at this Venezuelan eatery. They are very friendly and explain everything well to newcomers. I tried the chicha drink and it was so thick you can choke on it. They said it's sweeter than horchata, but they didn't say it was thicker. I like trying new things so I loaded up on these empanadas: corn and cheese, lentil, shredded beef and potato and cheese. I also got the ham and cheese pastelita. The corn and cheese empanada reminded me of the cheese sticks at Hot Dog on a Stick (in a good way). I also got a pork arepa and it was good, but a bit too greasy. I loved the sauces. They gave a green and red sauce. The green was fresh and flavorful. The red was good but in a different, toned down way. The desert was excellent as well. I had the tres leche. It was a tiny individual size that was the perfect amount. It was sweet, but in a natural way. It didn't taste all artificial. The ambiance was cool too. It has shiny gray epoxy floors and vibrant walls. They put in a little effort with their look. I would go back here for lunch or a snack!

The chicken was marinated some and it was tasty. Still, I had just come back from Miami and was itching for an arepa fix which I did not find here. One would normally find this stall at the Mira Mesa Farmers Market on Tuesday as they don't have a brick and mortar. At the time, their stall schedule also included a visit to Duck Foot in Miramar on Friday's. They didn't have a physical menu during my visit and I was told verbally that they only had shredded chicken and beef but maybe they have more options when they are at the MM farmers market.

We also got a carne empanada and the flavor was to die for. The beef and onion was so delicious and savory. It was juicy inside but the outside was crispy and dry not soggy at all. The portion size was fairly large as well. We also got the yuca frites. They were good. Crispy but still nice and starchy and filling. Not my favorite dish but only because of personal preference and not because they didn't do it well! Lastly we ended with the pork shank special they had for the night. It was absolutely amazing. The meat just fell off the bone and was so tender. I loved how the mushroom and spinach came with the pork. All of the different parts of the fish came together really well to made it exceptional. The interior is colorful with faux windows on the wall and nice "Colombia" letters above the register. The menu is extensive though prices NOT listed on the paper menus. Food is slightly on the more expensive side but portions are decent in return. We ordered empanadas, jugo de lulo, aguapanela con limón, mondongo, and bistec a caballo. I also sampled some of their arepa con queso, bandeja paisa, and picada dishes that our friends ordered. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of many drinks and also sold out of desserts. The mondongo was excellent and piping hot, but I am a big fan of tripe; it was served with rice and shredded cabbage. The bistec a caballo came as a large piece of steak and was bathed in a flavorful sauce and came with rice, a cup of beans, and a fried egg. The drinks and empanadas were also tasty. Overall, it was an excellent meal other than slightly subpar service on this visit. I would love to return on Fridays for their ajiaco, and Sundays for their sancocho!
